I did never sign up in C-date dating site someone is using my profile. I complain so many times to cancel my subscription and don’t send me mails and posts but their customers service not responding me and not giving me any kind of reasonable answer. Now they are taking 299 euro from me and the company is located in Germany I am not living in Germany then why they sending me post and mail I don’t know about this scam company and people they are totally fraud and taking money from people. They sending me lot’s of mail and warning post. Their cancellation policy is very complicated like as fill up the form and send to the company address by post. Why ?? I never seen this type of service. So my suggestion is that don’t pay any kind of fees to scammer and complain to the customer care.

The company and the agency are in Germany too - there is no legal jurisdiction as you are in the U.K. either. They may write to you and threaten you but it’s a tactic to scare you in to paying. There are many similar scams and they operate on scaremongering

UPDATE: I’ve fully explained to this dodgy company that I have never signed up to their service and my data has been provided to them fraudulently. However, they refuse to accept this and simply say ‘there isn’t any evidence to prove this and please pay the remainder of your. Disgusting attempt at extortion and fraud which I will never pay. My solicitor has taken this over now.

Literally never heard of this website before. Yet they contacted me asking for final payment. For context, I’ve been happily married for 5 years and with my wife overall for 7 years. In that time we’ve had kids together and can honestly say I’d never look elsewhere for female attention.

Not sure how or why this company thinks it’s me but someone has obviously signed up using my basic information.

I’ve tried to tell them this yet they just keep sending emails asking for payment and saying if you need helping paying contact Customer Service.

Why would I pay for something I have nothing to do with. Now I’m receiving letters requesting payment to my address - first clue that it’s someone else who’s signed me up is that it’s actually my parents address, of which I haven’t lived there for over 10 years.

Sent it to my Solicitor because in my eyes this is emotional distress, slander and an online scam.

Scumbags wanting peoples money at Christmas when I have kids and basically blackmailing me by sending letters talking about dating sites. Disgusting.

What a scam!!! I have signed up for a month to this site but only used it a handful of times. Now I'm getting emails demanding payment as my subscription was automatically renewed. I didn't ask them to renew it. I will be taking it further

C Date is a scam site, after one day you could see all profiles where fake. I requested to delete my profile within the 14 day period but they failed to respond consistently. I tried various means of communication. The online FAX number is a fake non receipt number. They failed to respond despite me sending over 35 emails in 4 days. They use delay tactics to extort money. I reported them to trading standards action fraud and filed a police report for fraud. COMPLETELY AVOID THESE SCAMMERS

Further to the reply below which is a standard reply expected from this potential scam.
An investigation by Action Fraud on a number of customers of C Date is underway and the principals of this business are now being covertly investigated using Police agencies in the UK,USA and Europe.

They will be aware shortly that they are being investigated and this note is to make potential victims aware of the dangers of transacting with this company.

People should pay particular attention to the hundreds of complaints against this company and be warned accordingly.

Further to the reply from C-Date it is more than clear is they just answer standard stock answers and they will be hearing from Police and fraud agencies within a few days.There are a large number of victim claims that are now being investigated by these agencies and they will be directly communicating with the principals of the company support.Please be aware of the dangers of transacting with C-Date.Further updates will follow.

The service was poor. No communication received from any member either initially or by way of a response. One exception was a member who sent a like, but her profile was deleted in under 24 hours - hence no reply to my communication.
The site states it want to make termination easy, but the method indicated is not available. The alternative method is buried in a legal document. It seems over officious to use the term "contract", and to demand name and address is highly irregular, officious and intimidatory. I bought one month's service and see no point in throwing good money after bad.

Haven’t responded to emails at all. Despite using the correct email given and completing the form.

I subscribed to this dating site and immediately saw that it was not a genuine site. I tried to cancel the subscription but there were no links to do so. I came onto trust pilot and saw all these reviews and it became apparent the whole site is a scam. Immediately contacted my bank for advice and put a freeze on any recurring payments. This is low life scammers preying on vulnerable people looking at online dating. If I receive any demands for unpaid debts in the future I will be ignoring them... They have no case to claim money off me!

I have also like many others it seems, received a letter claiming I owe £313.59 from a law firm in Germany which also has extremely poor ratings.

I tried cancelling with this company but it was impossible. I felt it was a scam and contacted them on many occasions to cancel and was told it was cancelled. And now this! Furthermore I tried to log in but cannot get through as it says my account is suspended until payments have been made. It also states that I have been contacted twice for payments of subscription, however there is no where, not by email or post that I have received this.

Do not go anywhere near this app/site! It’s not ok!

Umfangreiche Befragung am Anfang... Nicht schlecht, aber mein Jahreseinkommen geht niemanden was an!! Natürlich die übliche Begrüßungsrede, auf die man nicht antworten kann... 😡 und jede Menge User die sich dein Profil angesehen haben und es toll finden, obwohl es noch nicht mal zur Hälfte ausgefüllt ist???? ABER... Ohne Zahlung, 50,-, 90,- oder 150,-, 1 Monat, 3 Monate, 6 Monate, kannst du dir nicht einmal "normale" Profilbilder ansehen, geschweige denn etwas schreiben oder lesen???? Geht's euch noch Gut? Also wenn DAS das beste Dating-Portal Österreichs ist... Na dann, gute Nacht Österreich!

I don't even remember signing up to this site but I clearly did as they have my email address and address, I have been receiving letters saying I owe money. After looking into it and hearing what others have said they seem to be con-artist so I ignored it not wanting to fall short of any scams, now Im receiving emails saying I have been passed onto a debt collection agency and Owe nearly $400. I have never even used the service, this is completely unfair and this company should be stopped immediately.

Looks like I am their latest victim, I have written two letters to cancel my subscription, no reply, I have an email from their customer services saying my subscription and membership has ended on the 19th September. But they are still trying to take money from my account and on checking on their site they have kept me as a premium member, I have raised a dispute with PayPal, sent loads of emails but no reply. It is in black and white that you said no more payments will be taken but you have. I have done everything you asked to cancel my subscription. Ie letters and speaking to your customer services, I have their email stating it ends on the 19th, since then no one will speak to me. Could you please confirm it has ended and no more payments, it should not be this hard. I feel they do everything just to take money of you and make it impossible to leave.

I keep getting fraudulent debt collection letters from this company despite never having heard of it before. They say I have a gmail account linked despite using iCloud. Complete scammers and I will be reporting this as fraud.

I just received a letter from them for the first time in almost two years. I have never had any use or knowledge of this website before the letters started. When I spoke to their legal team, they sent me a log full of records, email addresses and names that do not belong to me.

I have emailed several times asking for the letters to stop and any alleged outstanding charges to be written off as I have never used this company before

I have been contacted by Advokat Radoslav Koychev on behalf of C-date claiming that I am have to pay 303 euros by 16/09/24 for a unpaid subscription which I NEVER signed up too.

Complete scammers!!!! I will be taking this further if i have not heard from anyone. I have sent multiple emails to C-date and Advokat Radoslav in hope i will receive a response but nothing.

The whole site is a con and a scam. They make it very difficult to find out how to cancel and it is nit straightforward. The site is full of bots, this becomes ever clearer when they try to trap people by hiding away the cancel option avd then hitting them with additional charges, I stopped the payment as I wasn’t sure how to cancel and now like 100’s of others are being threatened with debt collection and additional charges. This is how they make their money. They don’t reply to emails either, all part of the scam. DO NOT USE THIS SITE .

I cancelled my subscription to this service. Very difficult to find out how to cancel. They are demanding that I pay for further subscription after cancellation. No replies to emails but now threatening me with debt collection. I received a letter from CMS stating it is a second reminder but it is actually the first I'd received. I am seeking legal advice. My advice would be to avoid at all costs.
