I have only just signed up for c-date today 23.05.25 after reading the reviews I have tried to cancel my subscription, I would of thought there would be a coo g down period but that does not seem to be the case , so I have sent a message through their chat app that I would like to cancel my subscription from immediate effect and that I dont want any more money taken from my account , I have given the months notice that is required and as far as I’m concerned this matter is now closed Anne or Noel can you please confirm that I am no longer contracted to your company and that no money will be with drawn from my account thank you

This website is a scam, was charged £9.96 instead of £2.99 shown as subscription fee. I a refund and cancellation immediately. I will also be reporting this site to trading standards.

Telling me I hadent cancelled then this morning a different story that I had cancelled but not on time so still have to pay 1 months worth.

Also telling me that I must take my profile down or premium will re start

Horrible people signed for one months subscription only, the site was useless, tried everything I could to close my account and they would not engage with me. Send letters from debt collectors now, I will see them in court and report them to trading standards. Avoid cdate the site is just a scam. Facebook have a free dating site. I will make sure as many people know as possible.

Scammed me out of nearly £10 so I cancelled it instantly,not real people!

SCAM. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM SITE
The site is rubbish. No one within 50 miles of me and I live in a city.
Tried to cancel but there is NO facility to do so.
Tried messaging them but they reply stating to cancel via a link ... which DOES NOT exist.

I've cancelled my payment via my bank.

Update: they have now replied and have said that they have cancelled me from mid-May 2025.
So ... assume that they have now done so ... unless i'm back to update to the contrary!

I am a female on this and it is all free for us. I am genuine but am just trying to make friends (so chose the friendship option). I have over 1000 people writing to me but the number of women on this seems extremely low and that's why the guys are contacting me. If there was more transparency in terms of the number of guys and girls are on this it would help,

To cancel you cannot just send an email they WILL NOT ACCEPT IT , you have to print it sign it scan it amd either post or email it, I find this is a massive scam I ha e already reported them to trading standards, a site you join online that cannot be cancelled online??? The platform is not fit for purpose and I wpuld advise anyone who is threatened after canceling to contact bank and not to be intimidated but best advise is stay well clear of the pile of c##p

Very unclear on membership and fees so makes you feel this is a scam site! You need to be very clear on membership, fees and cancellation policy as you seem to be very vague on this hence the numerous negative comments! Action fraud should be contacted for those that have been trapped! Only positive is i can see responses to your queries here!

Writing this here from spending 30minutes reading the horrible reviews about the site.

Signed up earlier on today for a 1-month membership. Have gone through many lengths to cancel my premium subscription, both via writing an email to the support team and using their “easy” portal on the homepage.

Received automated confirmation emails saying that my subscription is being cancelled and so is my account…based off these reviews I am not trusting it.

I have emailed asking for written confirmation of my account deletion and subscription cancellation.

Not going to allow them to take another penny from me

They have come back to me today saying the membership subscription has been confirmed to be cancelled. Shared via email it will not renew and no more payments will come out.

Based off these reviews I will keep an eye out.

Process of cancelling
- request to delete account, send email explaining it to customer services
- log out, go to the bottom of their home page and see “cancel membership”, go through those steps
- should get a confirmation from both method, go back to them and explain you know their process and have done everything to cancel.
- await their confirmation.
- see if any more money comes out

Ironically i've received the exact issue other have had but unlike everyone else i cancelled the direct debit

They've coming at me with a financial collection team apparently, but i'm going to contact Svea bank and find out if this is real or utter BS

The app doesn't actually cancel you payment, or anything ot is a fully incompetent set up and doesn't deserver anyone's time or effort or money

Most of the women i've spoken to are fakes and been removed after one interaction, three felt like the same person

Honestly this company is the worst of the worse... Don't use them, and be aware after your first month cheap your getting billed £24+ pounds every two weeks!

C - Date is a scam and it should be taken down as soon as possible. My account was debited £39.90 today even though I had cancelled my subscription on March 5, 2025 just a few days after subscribing and then noticed that the dating site was full of fake profile or bots. Meaning that I subscribed on the 28th of February 2025 and subsequently cancelled my subscription on 05 March 2025, but C-DATE debited my account again on the 28th of March 2025, almost a month after I had cancelled my subscription. I have conducted survey on many users and all say C-Date is a scam. They deliberately retain your account details and continue to debit accounts. When I confronted them, they sent an email asking me to provide proof that I cancelled my subscription on the 05 of March 2025. If you are smart to realise and you contact your bank, you might put an end to the fraudulent debits, but if you don't realise your account is being debited, they will keep taking your money without your consent and without you using their services. This why they do not send email notifications when they debit your account and forcefully renew your subscription. The worst of it all is that, the C-Date site is full of fake profiles or bots set up to manipulate people. There's absolutely nothing genuine on C-Date

Disgraceful company. I cancelled my membership in November, I had a feeling they hadn't deleted it properly, so I sent an email asking for confirmation. That email was ignored. It is now March and they've carried on charging me for December, January and February. I've had to cancel payments through the bank, as I've tried to cancel it legitimately but they still keep taking money.

I've now had an email from them and their debt collectors asking for payment for this month. I've paid it, cancelled my account with them again the other day, only to find today my profile is back on their site again!!!

I've emailed them asking for a refund for from now backdated to November. Again this email has been ignored and I now have their debt collection company demanding an activation fee.

Please avoid these criminals at all costs!!!!

When you try to cancel it pulls up an error and will not let you cancel on the app or website 100% a scam site I cannot believe this is still being allowed in this day and age these people need stopping and then after I have sent an email to cancel with no reply they now have now issued this €47 payment to debt collectors based in Germany! This is now scary and frightening for me and I don't know what to do. Please please avoid this company! When I got send the email from the debt collectors I responded straight away and they didn't email me back but then increased the debt a month later. This has been unbelievable stressful and these people need stopping immediately. Interdate I have now paid your €200 fine because I'm in fear of not being able to remortgage the family home. Noel (Interdate employee) please confirm you have cleared my details from your corrupted business?

Thanks for your reply but how do I tell you more when you don't respond to any emails? At least give me your email or a phone number?

UPDATE: So using the email C-Date gave below I sent them all the information and evidence of me sending emails to cancel and guess what? They haven't responded to that email either! Someone please shut this criminal gang down asap.

Definitely a scam. Site was full of fake profiles.
When I tried cancelling the account my log in details would work for logging into my account, yet those same details kept showing as incorrect when entering them to cancel the account.
Emailed C-Date regarding the matter and they insisted the only way to cancel was online by entering your details. Went round in circles for a while.
I insisted they closed the account and received nothing from them for 3 months so assumed it had been done. All of a sudden a £250 collections notice through the door.

Will be seeking advice from my bank and trading standards.
Impossible to cancel, no help from customer services, ridiculous collections charge to follow.

Absolute SCAM made an account paid for a membership did not once say it was going to renew automatically I then realised it was full of fake profiles litteraly 0 real accounts I then tried cancelling my membership which I couldn’t figure out to do and now I’m getting threats saying they are going to send debt collectors that’s fine you send them and I’ll take you to court I want you to delete my account right NOW u scamming thieves Ermm nope I didn’t get an emailed contract and where did it say before I purchased that it was going to automatically renew it said it NOWHERE unless u thieves put it in small writing somewhere I wasn’t aware of this and I will not be paying you £49 for the renewal fee you can either give me a good will gesture and cancel my account or we can take this further

Sadly, this appears to be a scam website full of fake profiles. I understand that the UK authorities are taking a very close look into this company and their 'collection agent'. I have been contacted by UK Trading Standards asking for all of my screenshots of their website and follow up emails. I also understand a consumer action type tv programme will soon be broadcast, warning people all over the UK.
I sought UK trading legal advice and was advised to completely ignore all contact from them as it's likely they will soon be prevented from operating here in the UK.

No one in my area , so pointless , tried to cancel my subscription and heard nothing , I hope I’m not being scammed

Used service for a month , cancelled via PayPal service .
No option to cancel online and stated to write ! Have wrote, but as offline there is zero proof .
Had one debt collection letter for over £200 even though I used for a one month and actually cancelled my renewal within the 14 days .
First debt company was in Germany . Wrote explaining situation and cancel proof via PayPal screen shot . The held and stopped the recovery .
Have just received a letter today stating I have to pay over £200+ within 4 days. No prior warning as required by UK law from the new collection .
Have included trading stands within the first debt collection email .
Fact my personal details have been passed outside the UK, how do I know if UK GDRP laws have been broken ?
Fact of the matter I'm being charged over £200 for using the site for one month .
Will contact debt agency , again based in Germany and hand proof I cancelled my subscription service, not as stated I didn't pay for a service I did not use .
I hope the fact this review will be seen by potential clients of yours to avoid and stay away .
I recommend you implement simple online cancellation like all other apps and company's used in the UK and Europe regions .

To customer service , you have not answered my query above . You also failed to acknowledge in 2024 the only way to cancel service was to hand write a letter .
Please be aware that your reply and Trust pilot score are seen by hundreds .
Can you confirm firstly my account is closed.
Secondly can you confirm i paid for my single monthly use and then cancelled payment and did not use your website .
Thirdly can you confirm status of sending debt collection letters , that break UK laws and using a company outside of the UK.
I have confirmation from first debt collection company that case was dropped as i provided proof

Lastly , I have not received ANY communications from you after your reply nor before hand !

No real messages, all the same people everyday & no means of sending a genuine original message. Cancelling with 14 days so I should receive a full refund? Tax dodgers registered on Luxembourg
