I am tree surgeon and have long struggled to find much choice when insuring my various work trucks. I have acquired a new 4 x 4 pickup truck that has several modifications with two to follow. The initial modifications are a tow bar and uprated air suspension, including updating to 3.5 ton gross vehicle weight. The ones to follow will be a conversion to a tipper with wood chip box and engine re-mapping. None of this fazed the company in the slightest. I have also been provided with an additional, future, add on premium for when the vehicle is converted in the coming months. The future engine re-mapping was included free of charge. The policy included lots of extras (legal, key cover and European cover) that would normally be charged as extras and yet the premium was incredibly competitive. Also, I spoke to two excellent call handlers in this country. No chat bot or online chat with staff. This firm was a revelation and I only hope they don’t hike further premiums as I would like to continue using them.

Very understanding bunch, very responsive too! I’ve been with them for a little while now and I’ve always been able to get across what I needed fairly quickly, without much hassle, and without any increases for stuff that probably didn’t require one.

Enquiring around I can realistically get insured cheaper, but with how little hassle I have here I’d happily pay some extra (and even then it’s not so much more).

Brentacre have been brilliant for the 8 years i have used them.

Fortunately I saw a Honda S660 forum suggesting that Brentacre were well worth contacting and the saving with Brentacre was substantial and contacting their helpful admin staff is easy compared to some of the other specialist car insurers where it took ages waiting to speak to an adviser which resulted in far more expensive alternatives.

I’ve been with Brentacre Insurance since my buying my first proper car back in 2011 … I cannot fault anything to do with Brentacre ! Starting a new or continuing with a current policy is easy & always cheaper than I anticipated!!
Today’s policy renewal was all completed in way less than 5minutes thanks to Mark on the other end of the phone !

I've held my licence for over 30yrs and have NCD of over a decade. I'm also I'm an advanced driver and have a tracker with a subscription service fitted to my vehicle and these clowns can't provide a quote and give no reason as to why. Absolute joke!

Since submitting my Trustpilot review I have had a response from Brentacre and it is this they reference in their response to the review. I have increased my rating from 1 to 3 starts and changed the title from non-existent to limited customer service because Emily did respond relatively quickly albeit not quick enough because my review had already been submitted.

I remain dissatisfied with their inability to provide a quote. It is akin to a sub-prime lender refusing to grant a loan to a person with an excellent credit history. i.e. It makes very little sense.

I acknowledge that Brentacre are the brokers and not the ultimate insurers. That said, I received details of the types of reasons a quote might not be given. This is of limited use to me as I would need too know exactly why I have been declined a quote so if it is because I have just bought the car, that should be cited as THE reason, if it is because the car is not modified at the moment then tell me that, if it is something else then again tell me. Make your feedback specific to me and my application so that you ensure you treat your customer fairly

I have used Brentacre for all of my car and vans for many years and I'll continue to do so. The ease of dealing with staff when delivering or altering modifications is fantastic along with very competitive pricing. Thanks for the great service and many years of comfort I'm insured with the best.
