Excellent customer service from Kaylee

Had a banking issue (change of Ts and Cs to savings account removed the ability to use inter account standing orders, so the money was in the wrong account) which meant that not only did the DDi not get paid when it was due, but then the re-attempt 2 weeks later was also not paid.
Surprisingly found their customer service is actually open to speak to a human until 6pm - it's rare to find anything banking/financial open after 5pm!
Called and spoke to Kaylee who was an absolute diamond! So polite, professional, understanding and helpful. I explained what had happened and that I wanted to make the full payment.
She checked a few times if making the payment in one go was affordable and wouldn't leave us short on other bills, then took me through the payment process and confirmed this had now made the balance up to date. She also advised that as this had just gone into another billing cycle (next DDi is due in 4 days), it would likely show on a credit check as a missed payment, but as of next month's payment would show rectified.

Total Joke

I have missed 2 payments with this company back in 2021, set up an agreement with them to pay extra to cover the missed 2 payments. They have since recorded every payment since then as being missed despite sending statements that the payments have been made .... 29 missed payments they have recorded on my credit file. Complaint reviewed and resolved within 1 hour saying that the account was still in arrears and they will continue to record the payments as missed. Sent them proof that they can't record subsequent payments as missed but they aren't interested. I've now passed the matter on to the Financial Ombudsman for them to handle.

In response to their reply.. that's absolute rubbish! Subsequent payments cannot be marked as missed but that is what you have done for 29 payments!! Because of this I can't get any credit!!!

Now in the hands of the Ombudsman but if this stops them from abusing anyone else's credit file then I'm glad!

Enquired about negative equity on my…

Enquired about negative equity on my motor as I'm looking to upgrade , the response was not what I expected but more of we are not interested but other companies may help.
Have been with this company for a few years with payments always made on time obviously that counts for nothing

Poor service

I have a finance agreement with blue motor finance and have done for around 6 weeks, I raised complaint to the finance 2 days after receiving the car due to issues I noticed upon receipt of the vehicle, I then reported further faults with the vehicle I have called consecutively every week for an update and have been told on numerous occasions that my “case handler” will contact me within 24 hours I still haven’t spoken to my case handler, I was told at the beginning of this week my case handler was due to call me this week I still have not received a call, for such a stressful time this company don’t seem to wish to make things easier, no update? Conflicting information given each time I call for example 4 weeks ago I was told that the finance company where giving the dealership till the end of the day to reply before further steps where taken yet the next time I contacted they said they where still waiting to hear from the dealership! It’s not acceptable when we raise complaints we should have contact with someone for updates! My case still isn’t resolved and I have no car to drive due to it not working and 2 very young children and we all reply on the car to get back and too. Not a great first experience if I am honest and I’m honestly sick of having to waste over 2 hours a time on hold before I get to speak to someone. I have had an IVIS inspection today but the communication from this company is shocking

Great finance company - made everything nice and easy

From the initial enquiry with Blue Motor Finance, they have been so helpful. I called with a very specific car that I wanted and the gentleman helped me find it. I have recently paid off the finance and received an email without prompting BMF to offer a refund of over payment. Great service and fast responses via email. Online service is also easy to use.

I'm retired and needed a loan for a car.

I'm retired and needed a loan for a car. Despite having sufficient income to cover the repayments my bank and several other well known "high street" names all declined my application because I wasn't able to give them documentation on the pension income and because the available amount of credit on my credit cards was higher than my annual income, even though all of them had zero balance. Blue Motor were able to determine affordability my income by analysing my bank transactions and actually noted that I had never incurred interest payments on any of my credit cards because I regularly pay the balances on the statement due dates. Their customer support is excellent. You can always get a quick response to any queries through their website. I recently paid back the loan and would use them again if needed.

Disappointing direct debit scams/schemes

The only finance company which did this to me so far - i had one of my cars financed through them (at 19%APR)
I have confirmed a full early settlement payment and received all the confirmation back from them that the full loan amount has been paid and that the direct debit has also been cancelled.
They have still continued to take the direct debit payments from my account even after and nobody is assisting me to help with a refund (sounds like a low level scheme so far). I have sent e-mails and phone calls and now i have been told that i have to wait for aprox. 10 days to receive the refunds. Absolute disappointed with this treatment and schemes.

Would recommend

Had a direct debit issue and it caused a missed payment. My mistake by they were so good in helping correct everything. I spoke to a lady called Kerry who was so lovely and polite.

THE WORST FINANCE COMPANY EVER THEY ARE…

THE WORST FINANCE COMPANY EVER THEY ARE LONG WITH EVERYTHING NEVER RESOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS AND ALWAYS CHANGING YOUR CASE HANDLER ITS RIDICULOUS I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. I BOUGHT A CAR IT HAD PROBLEM THEY AGREED TO PAY FOR A A RENTAL IF I EVER TELL YOU THE LIMIT A WEEK TO HIRE A CAR IS A JOKE AND ON TOP OF THAY EVEN GETTING HOLD OF THEM IS THE WORST YOU WOULD LITERALLY BE WAITING FOR HOURS FOR SOMEONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE ON COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT I HAVE SO MUCH SCREENSHOTS AND RECORDED PHONE CALLS THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL LIKE LITERALLY MY CAR IS IN THE GARAGE FOR REPAIRS AND MY CAR WONT BE RELEASED UNTIL THEY PAY OUT HAVEN’T HAD MY CAR FOR 2 WEEKS SO THAT SPEAKS A LOT OF VOLUMES ITSELF THEY ARE THE SHITTEST FINANCE COMPANY EVER ITS SO BAD I HAVE RAISED THIS ISSUE TO THE FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN SMH REALLY REALLY BAD

Great customer service

Incredible supportive during an uncertain time, when my car broke I was unsure what I would be able to do as I still have finance left to pay.

Thankfully I was put through to Charlotte, who was calm, compassionate and took the time to go through all my options in a very stressful and uncertain time. She made sure I didn’t jump into anything without thinking about it.

I have since called back to chase up my car collection and again was met by Charlotte, who made me aware of the process.

Great Service! Great Company

Have just finished a car finance loan with BMF and I have to say they’ve been fantastic.

During the Covid lockdown they were one of the first of my creditors to openly offer help and were great throughout.

Very quick to respond to emails and very professional and helpful. I would honestly recommend this company.

PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY TO AVOID STRESS!

PLEASE AVOID! COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT IS SHAMBOLIC! ***Please read before taking out finance***Absolute regret of my life taking out a finance with this company. The initial sales part was great, very responsive unlike when dealing with complaints.

I had an engine failure a month after buying the car (within the 3 months warranty) and the car was towed away to the dealership. This company's (BMF) complaints department is shockingly awful. Its difficult reaching anyone and the person meant to be handling the complaints didn't contact us in the space of about 3 weeks. Not once did they bother asking me for a counter-supporting evidence against what was being clamed was my fault. I was blamed for the engine failure through a bogus process which was predictable because the dealership phoned me the day after they received the car trying to pin the blame on me even before the engine was assessed (misfuelling) and it was same thing BMF told me based on a one-sided process. The closing email from BMF was contradictory based on NO CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE. IVIS were meant to carry out an independent assessment but were not given access to do so by the dealership and I was told by BMF that the report by the assessor chosen by the dealership was inconclusive so were going to ask IVIS to go but that NEVER happened and went ahead with the same report they had previously admitted was inconclusive. Its been extremely stressful and I've had to spend time in hospital during that time. I am now preparing a lawsuit against them for the mishandling of the complaints process and the effect its had on myself and my family which will include evidence they never bothered asking from myself. Contrary to the claim that the vehicle was in great condition when we got it is interesting because in the initial complaint to BMF, I pointed out how the brakes were dangerously worn that I had to replace them (cost almost a grand) within 2 weeks of buying it and I have video evidence, receipt, physical brakes etc which is part of a wider proof the car was never meant to have been sold in the first place in its condition.

Alice Baker was the one who sent the initial closing email and reforwarded by Evie Odey (who's meant to be a senior apparently). My husband trains companies in Customer Experience and has been left speechless by the non-existence of a proper complaints process at BMF.

I don't recommend risking getting a finance with BMF because if you raise a complaint, it might surprise you how badly the process can get.
