Dismissive and argumentative customer service, email reply is from cell bikes, google reviews still stand for cell bikes in NSW now closed, and they speak for themselves. I was hesitant to buy from bikesonline and after my experience with them relieved I didn’t follow through. I left feedback regarding poor customer focus and short replies through a feedback survey. I then received an email from the person handling my ticket saying sorry for your experience if your expectations were too high!? No ownership or actual listening to what feedback I’d already given, just lip service. Do yourself a favour..

Liars & Dodgy Business
Liars, dodgy and terrible customer service.
Don’t waste your time or money.
Ordered a helmet online as a gift in Oct 22, I returned by courier with tracking number in December 22 as incorrect size.
Asked to exchange and never received replacement. Asked for a refund and haven’t received it, although they tell me it’s been refunded nothing has come through.
Liars, dodgy business and time wasters.

Friendly, knowledgable and quick!
Brad was super friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole experience similar to being in-store. He checked my measurements against stock he had in the office to make sure everything fit and answered every question I threw at him. Placed my order and was riding my new bike within the week. Don't buy a Mountain Bike Online
Purchased two Ananconda Daytona 29ER bikes, total FAIL but provided myself and son plenty of opportunity to learn about how MTB works and to repair, purchased 2022 Polygon T8 in October 2022 as replacement bike with great expectations, bike looked terrific and was much better built, unfortunately Polygon T8 has been another nightmare, Dropper post failed after first month, few months later SLX derailleur snapped while riding up a hill on local street (Shimano claim derailleur not set up correctly and why failed, though was working perfectly prior to failure) plus has a few other faults creeping in, my best comparison would be like buying a Chinese thumpster motor bike vs Yamaha or Great Wall vs Nissan, my son loves riding his bike, but after purchasing two bikes online would never go down this path again as bike is OFF the road to long trying to sort out issues / repairs and they will try and pass the buck saying your fault as did not set up correctly or riding style caused the problem, just been a very poor experience that has left myself and son very frustrated, I just want for my son to have a reliable bike so son can go riding and I am not always having to fix something, his mates have a few Trek's, Rocky Mountain and a few Giants, all going with not a problem, the Polygon T8 for mind is a pavement princess, take it offroad and it's going to break and to that also the brakes are a real let down, do yourself a favour, spend few extra dollars and get a Giant or Trek from your local bike shop, helps them and will be much better for your mental help in the long run as can get bike quickly fixed and going again.

We have submitted a warranty claim to Shimano on your behalf, but unfortunately, it was not approved. Shimano's findings indicate that if the expensive side of your bike experiences impacts, the derailleur hanger is likely to bend first. If the bent hanger is not fixed, it can cause the derailleur to shift into the spokes, leading to the issue you experienced. We empathize with the situation, and as a resolution, we offered a discounted price for a replacement derailleur. Please note that since this is not a manufacturing fault of Polygon, the outcome would have been the same if this happened with another brand, such as Trek or Giant.
We understand that could have been a frustrating experience for you and your son, and we regret that we were unable to resolve the issue to your satisfaction. We take all customer feedback seriously and will continue to work towards improving our products and services.

I have two words that has made my experience with BikesOnline a brilliant one.... Brad Prescott!!! I had back surgery last year and was just getting back into riding and wasn't sure about what type of bike to get and was also a little nervous about purchasing a bike without being able to see and feel it in a shop. But Brad helped me out incredibly well. His knowledge, expertise, friendly nature and willingness to help is just second to none. I will be recommending BikesOnline to many people!! If only there were more Brads in the world!!

They sacrifice quality for cost
Bought a bike in July and the communication was great - prompt replies and willing to negotiate a great price. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there and I needed to replace FOUR parts on the bike before it was able to be ridden.
The shipping process was a nightmare: my bike could not be tracked once it went to the shipping companies private courier and the courier was uncontactable so I had no idea where my bike was, and given it was two days late this was quite stressful. I contacted Bikes Online who gave me online store credit for this.
Once the bike arrived and was set up, I discovered that a screw on the dropper lever was rounded out so could not be adjusted. I sent photos to Bikes Online who sent a replacement lever to be installed and covered the cost of installation. Once this was fixed, I then found that the lever itself was incredibly stiff and not usable - the dropper cable and housing was bent and kinked which was preventing it from sliding smoothly. Additionally, the seat post clamp cracked despite me using a torque wrench and not applying more torque than indicated in the installation manual. Again, Bikes Online sent replacement parts and covered costs of installation.
It took me TWO MONTHS to get a brand new bike ready to ride. For a brand new product I think that this is unacceptable. Any attempts to raise my concerns with the warranty team have been met with store credit offers and the like, but I think that is a Band-Aid solution.
Be aware that, if you buy a bike from Bikes Online, they are sacrificing quality control to get prices down and, yes, will cover repairs under the warranty period but this will be time consuming for you.
I would never buy from Bikes Online again, and would see a local bike store to ensure you are getting a higher quality product.

We are really sorry to read you had issues with both the delivery and the functionality of your bike straight out of the gate.
Not at all what we want or aim for as you would imagine.
Direct Freight Express, our selected courier, uses a further contractor to deliver bikes in some remote areas.
Unfortunately, when the bike is handed to a private company, the tracking is not updated anymore until the delivery is finally made.
This is not optimal; we totally agree with you but do have a limit to what we can do about it sometimes sadly.
Good old Australia is a big place and trying to deliver to every corner of it does sometimes prove quite challenging.
This issue has been communicated with Direct Freight Express and we are awaiting answers to see where they too can improve.
We are in regular contact with our freight partners and product teams with the goal to continually evolve our products and our services.
So, when it does go pear shaped like this it's really valuable for us to know.
We absolutely share in your frustrations Tim and always try and do our best to compensate our clients when issues of any kind occur.
Particularly with stuff like this when through our lens you copped a whole lot of bad luck at nearly every turn.
Thankfully, your experience (which was average!), we are happy to say is NOT the norm.
Thank God for that too otherwise we might have to change tack and start selling pumpkins!
Tim, mate we do hope you come back to the Bikesonline fold one day and again thank you for bringing this experience to our attention so we can get to work on it.

Don't be afraid of buying a bike online
I ordered the bike on a Sunday and received it on Thursday. It was exactly as expected and would highly recommend them. I have never ordered a bike online but wouldn't hesitate to do so again from bikes online.
The range of accessories is pretty good but could be more extensive.

It was a warranty replacement. Yes it arrived fast without any argument. But still not having a store to go back to is annoying and having to find another store to install and getting reimbursement is frustrating
