We had a great experience with David. This was our second appointment, this time in store, and he helped us through some challenging design decisions in a loft space. David helped us find options that balanced our budget with our style, which wasn’t easy! Would wholly recommend.

David helped me update a previous design as my requirements had altered. We are re-purposing a garage so some matters were not straight forward, such as ceiling height for example. He explained design choices to me thoroughly and impartially- patiently and with good humour! He helped me find appropriate fixtures from other websites and gave me ideas on flooring and tile colour. He has even liaised with our builder to explain technical details. Overall a fantastic experience. Thankyou so much!

I had a very disappointing experience with BathroomsByDesign when trying to return an unused item purchased online.

The product itself was completely unused, undamaged and never installed. I contacted them promptly after receiving it because I realised it was the wrong height for my installation. The issue was the cardboard packaging, which had to be opened using the tear-strip provided on the box.

Initially, BathroomsByDesign refused the return, arguing that the packaging was no longer in “pristine” condition. After a lengthy exchange regarding my statutory cancellation rights for an online purchase, they eventually agreed to accept the return, but deducted 30% of the purchase price on the basis of “diminished value”, plus a £10 collection charge.

I ultimately received £199 back — approximately 70% of what I originally paid.

I appreciate that the matter was eventually resolved and I decided not to take the dispute further, but I remain unhappy with the way the return was handled. In particular, I do not think an unused and undamaged product should automatically be treated as having lost 30% of its value simply because the original cardboard packaging has been opened.

The whole process took a disproportionate amount of time and effort for what should have been a straightforward online return.

I would therefore recommend that anyone ordering from BathroomsByDesign online checks their return terms carefully and understands their statutory cancellation rights before purchasing.

This review is simply my genuine account of what happened to me and how I experienced the process.

Have used BBD on 6 projects now and always a fantastic service with knowledgable sales staff from the beginning of the design process through to a very straightforward delivery service. On the v-rare occasion anything was missing or defective BBD sent out replacements immediately to rectify. Would absolutely recommend.

David was absolutely fabulous! I went in to start getting ideas for our new family bathroom which is in need of a lot of work. He took so much time to listen with vague instructions and has followed up quickly with some suggestions and a new layout which looks fabulous. Thank you David!

We had such a great experience designing our new bathroom with David Gregory from the Richmond branch. He stayed late in the evening to accommodate us and was so patient and listened to all our ideas. We had no idea what we were doing but he took the time to hear all our ideas and helped us create our dream bathroom. His knowledge and advice was exceptional and he helped us to fit what we wanted into our budget and create a bathroom that fits all our family's needs. I would highly recommend David if you are looking to design a new bathroom.

Ordered a toilet. Says ‘seat not included’ picture shown with cistern so obviously you would imagine it to come together especially when they add £85 delivery charge on top. Luckily they must be used to unhappy customers so they email to double check you realised it was the pan only.

We have had a great experience designing our difficult shaped bathroom at the Richmond branch with David. David has been really knowledgeable and given us great advice when helping to sort the layout to be the best it can in a typical old London house with a small space. We would highly recommend David to anyone looking to have their bathroom redesigned!

David called me to book an appointment last night and was literally the most helpful person I have spoken to in the last 12 months (we are mid-project so that is saying something!). He is incredibly knowledgeable, massively helpful and a lovely guy to boot. I am booking in with him next week so that we can lock in our bathroom re-design, and I have absolute confidence in his ability to give us a brilliant and chic bathroom despite our pretty tight budget.

David at the Richmond showroom was wonderful. He has a great eye for design and made useful suggestions to create my dream bathroom and en-suite. He has a good sense of humour and a wealth of knowledge about the products. There was ample time to discuss ideas and show me some of the products in the showroom to give me focus, and I never felt rushed. The firm was recommended by a friend, and after meeting Dave, I know why.

We turned up two hours early to the Richmond showroom (thinking the store opened at 9am on a Sunday) and just as we were realising it opened at 11am David Gregory v kindly let us in to wander around and have a look and asked us if we needed help. He then spent 2 hours helping us before the store opened! So amazing and he helped us work out what we have been mulling over for ages so effortlessly and with great ideas. He is v knowledgeable, helpful and patient! We returned in the afternoon to finalise the plans for one bathroom and will definitely progress to ask his help for the further 2 bathrooms we need to sort out. Thank you David!

We worked with Chris at the Richmond showroom on two bathrooms and a cloakroom and have been really impressed from start to finish.

Chris was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and, most importantly, really listened to what we wanted to achieve. He came up with some excellent suggestions and combinations that worked within our budget, and helped us refine the designs without ever pushing us towards things we didn't need.

The whole process has been seamless. Delivery was on time and communication has been excellent throughout, including keeping us updated on the few items that weren't immediately available and getting them to us quickly. Everything has also worked really well with our fitter.

We're absolutely delighted with how everything is looking and couldn't be happier with the service we've received. A huge thank you to Chris, we'd highly recommend Bathrooms by Design Richmond.

David was absolutely brilliant at designing three bathrooms for me for my cottage in Cornwall. He had some brilliant ideas and played around with a number of options to find the best designs. He made it a really fun experience and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I’m very happy with the results.

We visited the Richmond branch today and met David Gregory who restored our faith in bathroom design. After already visiting two design companies, we were a bit sceptical and not expecting much as we had left them feeling completely underwhelmed and not understood. However, during our initial meeting with David we were pleasantly surprised and glad we visited! David was enthusiastic, understanding of what we wanted and answered all our queries with a refreshing calmness and knowledge. It’s clear David has a lot of experience and can deal with all kinds of projects and people and we left feeling more at ease than we have done for a while dealing with bathrooms! We look forward to our next visit and hopefully moving forward with our bathroom renovations!

Having given David Gregory sketches and measurements for our required two bath room upgrades he talked us through our options and designed on screen ideas for us . All in an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and professional manner .
