They lie about return policy. you have to fight for a refund
My son saw these products on tiktok. As I have learned in the past, most of what is sold and promoted on tiktok is less than desirable, a scam and basically they just prey upon these young teens to make money. Based is no different, unfortunately. I knew this up front but wanted to prove it to my son. I ordered off their website because they list quite clearly they offer a 60day money back guarantee and say they will take your prodct back - open or unopened- for any reason at all. I paid $64 for the styling kit. Took forever to get the product thru amazon shipping services. Finally got it and gave to son. He was not impressed. I asked to send items back for a refund. I got the AI bot response right away saying "sorry didn't work out but that is why we have a 60-day money back guarantee whether products are opened or unopened". When a live person then responded I was told that "since product has been opened, they can only offer store credit". I then cited the 60 day money back and the AI bot email response and said that -since I have 2 notifications from their company saying i am entitled to a return/refund they needed to give me a refund or i would open a dispute case with my credit card company" Only then did i get the refund. So, just be aware - stuff is not all that great and if you want to return it for a refund, you will have to stand your ground a fight a bit to get it

My son LOVES the sea salt spray
My son LOVES the sea salt spray. He has super thick, wavy hair and the spray helps him control his bedhead in the morning and leaves his hair super soft with bouncy waves. He also loves the curl cream which he applies after showering for an easy air dry style. Just a mention in this review- Be very careful that you are ordering from the REAL Based Bodyworks website. I made the mistake of ordering from the imposter site and had a bad experience. My order took several weeks to arrive and when it did, some of my product was missing. I only realized it was a scam when I tried to contact the company and didn't receive a reply back. I claimed fraud on my credit card and after a lot of research, I found the REAL Based Bodyworks online and placed an order. Shipping was fast and the products arrived!

The worst customer service ever. Ordered an item a week ago. Shipping label said it was created, but it still has not shipped. They claim it can’t be cancelled because it’s been shipped. Which it has not. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. ITS A SCAM!

Lives up to the hype
I just bought the based shampoo and conditioner bundle and it was amazing I had already thought my hair looked pretty good but when I used the shampoo and conditioner from based I got way more texture without using any products I also js bought something else to try from based because the first products were so good

Fake free shipping offer – total scam!
In the cart, it clearly said "free shipping unlocked." However, when I proceeded to checkout, they added a $30 shipping fee out of nowhere. Do not trust their checkout prices. Total waste of time.

I placed an order and tracking has not moved for over 7 business days. I emailed to chase my order and was told that they have no history of my order after searching my order number and email? I have paid almost £70 and they are now saying they have no record of this so I’m really concerned? I ordered despite lots of negative reviews and now it looks like I’ve lost my money.

Scumbags - stay away from this company
We ordered hair clay and paid for expedited shipping through USPS. It was supposed to be delivered within 5 days. After 10 days when it hadn't showed I tried to cancel the order. Their entire customer support is AI bots - no human to speak with. They didn't actually ship through USPS but rather some company called UniUni whose tracking showed it in New Jersey for over 2 weeks. It finally arrived a month later after we purchased a better, cheaper product from another company. There aren't enough words to describe how much this company sucks.

Long shipping times
Ordered over a week ago with shipping method 3-5 days. Still only have recived order confirmation, no shipping confirmation or anything. Very long wait time before shipping. Talked with customer service once and they said it would ship ASAP. But still have gone a few days and heard nothing. I understand there has been a big sale but would recommend to send either a follow up email or inform customers of a delay, this makes for a very unpleasant experience when there is no update.
