I am taking the Diploma course and I absolutely LOVE it. Tutors are all so helpful and respond to you very quickly if you have a problem. I really enjoy the practical side of my classes and technical through my assignments. I would highly recommend this course. After I've finished this one, i would happily look into taking more at BAPH.

I totally recommend the British Academy of Photography. Studying there has been a blessing. Everyone is so kind and happy to help. The assignments are great, specially when they make you go out to use the camera, love it!

If you want to study photography, that is the place!

I am currently half way through the Diploma Course. I can honestly say it has opened up my world. Undertaking the assignments have allowed me to enter into environments I could never have imagined myself.The Tutors make the in class lessons great fun but very informative. BAPH then offers great support once you are working online from home. I have wanted to be a photographer since I was a little girl. I'm now a 55 year old grandmother and this course has proved to me it's never too late to follow your dreams & anything is possible. I would highly recommend. A*

The constructive feedback from your tutor (who is also a working professional) - really does push you to achieve more and/or try new things. I decided to take the home study course as I was working full time and found it very useful as I could study around work. I then had a baby mid- way through and was able to also fit the course around motherhood duties.

The assignments really do teach you something and are very well thought out.

Initially I only shot inanimate objects useful for home interior artwork. Now a graduate from the course, I also have new skills to be able to document daily life, events and also shoot portraits professionally.

I look forward to starting my business with knowledge of photography I did not have before starting the course. I am truly thankful for the Academy and my tutor Hugo Felix.

As a complete novice in the world of photography I have found this course to be excellent. I have enjoyed every aspect of the course. I have been challenged greatly but fully supported by an excellent Tutor ( Hugo Felix) and more generally by the professionalism of the Student Support Team. I started with the Home study Postgraduate Diploma Course which I thoroughly enjoyed. I have since transferred to the BA Hons Degree Course. I have felt supported, encouraged and valued as a student. I have learnt so much in a relatively short period of time.

This course is an exciting opportunity for anyone who has an interest in photography. Though I'm just getting started myself, I've already learnt a great deal from the first assignment, and I can see from it's structure that it's meant to help us gain confidence in our work and encourages us to explore our own unique style, which I appreciate not feeling confined to just ticking boxes. The student service advisors have also been extremely helpful and very quick to reply which is always reassuring. Also, there seems to be an active community in the facebook group which I haven't yet explored properly, but it's nice to have that sense of community where you feel safe to ask questions about photography, free from judgment.

I'm excited to carry on with my course and wish everyone else who is taking part in it or considering to the best of luck!

The course are well structured and covers wide range of genres.

The curriculum follows a clear guideline and focuses on building up well-founded knowledge. A progress is already apparent after a short time based on the image results. The assignments after each module are helping to further deepen the knowledge gained and the feedback by turtor is comprehensive and helpful. The exchange with the course supervisor is efficient, very friendly and always goal-oriented. All in all a very good experience.

For anyone interested in photography, accreditation from a body such as British Academy of Photography is immensely helpful. I would like to thank the academy, my tutor Hugo Felix and the admin team for the support offered with the entire process. The resources supplied and the forum was great. During the assignments, any queries were responded to, quickly. This was important for me as I was managing this course amidst a full time job. So al in all, kudos to BAPH. I look forward to the graduation ceremony soon.

took longer than expected to complete the course after getting covid and problems from long covid but determined to finish course must thank the BAPH as they have been really good with me and i thank them

I have learned so much during my Diploma course. It is not a technical "how to use my camera" course, but rather it teaches one to think like an artist and like a professional photographer, which involves methodology, creative ideas development and organisational skills.
The tutors and staff have always been very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend the course for anyone who is thinking of transitioning from amateur to professional photography.

Studying with the British Academy of Photography has been a fantastic experience.
I have enjoyed working through my assignments and have learnt so much.
Having the option to study at my own pace, whilst being able to contact my tutor / student services for support made it possible to obtain this qualification whilst working a full time job.
The guidance and feedback from the tutor has been brilliant.

Since I signed up for the BA Photography course I have learnt so much about photography in general. The theory increased my knowledge of photographic history and techniques, and the practical assignments, the resources and tutor feedback greatly helped me refine my skills and practice. After completing the excellent Post Graduate course in Photography course provided by BAPH, I was offered a work placement in the area that interested me the most with a great company committed to provide a multi-faceted experience in that area. The student advisor was very helpful and effective in identifying the right company for my work experience. I very much look forward to the work placement and I am grateful to be working with photography professionals over a period of two months.

For me, The classroom-based experience was the way to go. Without the guidance of the tutor, a lot of the background of photography I would possibly have missed an example being Henri Cartier Bresson.
Also, the knowledge and experience gained by the tutor would not have been passed on had this been a distance learning course. A thoroughly enjoyable course.

Excellent course with very approachable and knowledgeable tutors, able to organise tutorials to discuss progress. Does require some hard work, but very enjoyable content and can be driven by your own interests.

I'm so happy and proud to be studying with BAPH, learning so many things and experiencing at the same time, the assignments are both challenging and fun, which can be rarely found together. All these have great contribution to being a professional photographer. All the staff and the teachers are really friendly, helpful and supportive. They do their best to support the students in their journey with the academy and this is priceless! All the services and materials which come with the course are precious.
