Avoid at All Costs – Absolutely Useless for UK Customers

If I could give zero stars, I would. This insurance company, based in Germany, clearly has no interest whatsoever in serving UK customers. Their customer service is practically non-existent. They operate on a five-day reply cycle — but not in a helpful way. They ask one question, wait five days to reply, then send another question, and the cycle continues endlessly. It's like pulling teeth to get a single issue resolved.

Their complaint procedure is a joke. You may as well be shouting into a void. It’s clear they are completely unprepared and uninterested in handling UK business. I came to them via Simply Business, and if Simply Business continues to partner with this company, they seriously risk losing all their UK clients.

No urgency. No professionalism. Zero customer service skills. It's honestly insulting to call this a service.

Save yourself the frustration. Look elsewhere.

Clear and helpful advice and prompt response

ARAG Legal Insurance (DAS LEI) will pass your claim to Arag Law ( DAS Law). So they will do their best to refuse your claim and to tell you that you do not have a reasonable prospect of winning the case. How can the Law company make an independent decision if it is a subsidiary of the Legal Expenses Insurance company. Do not waste you money on their legal insurance as they will not help you!

Took insurance out for rent arrears and they used every excuse under the sun not to pay.Go to a reputable company that has legally trained people as advisors.Spent most of the time complaining as they didn't respond in a timely fashion and then when thry do don't deal with things properly.Switching all insurance to reputable company

I’ve never known a company like this one .. shocking customer service. I submitted a claim over 2 weeks ago due to tenant not paying rent and I’ve no idea if this company plans to help me or not! In the meantime, I’m just sitting waiting whilst my tenant is in my house rent free. I’ve tried to call and although the people are friendly, they are useless. Saying my handler will be in touch if I’m covered - I paid for the insurance policy, why would I not be covered?? To add insult to injury when I rang this week, I asked what support they could offer while I wait for this fictitious handler and apparently she could offer me counselling!! Counselling for what, their appalling customer service. People aren’t calling you for fun, they are in desperate situations and to treat customers as though they are criminals is just plain wrong. I’ve posted on *X*, I’ve tried calling and still no help! Please what more can I do?

Much like other reviews , poor communication still waiting for the lawyer I was promised to call me. I am going to ask my insurer to remove them from the legal protection as what's the point.

Truly awful company. It's been nearly a month now to try and get them to respond to a simple email. My follow up emails also go unresponded to. There's no point calling them because they won't put you through to the claims handler. They were utterly useless when I last had to deal with them (they were called 'DAS LEI' then) and are still a waste of time and space.
