I had this machine for 3 weeks and it began to get very hot and make a noise. It’s taken the Range 3 more weeks to answer my many messages and now they don’t have a telephone service for customers. I’ve been told the same as many others to use 2 litres of white vinegar to descale it. I’ve informed that if it catches fire I’ll sue them. Still waiting. I’m going to complain to head office as I’m a pensioner and can’t afford to throw £179 down the drain after only 3 weeks working. 😡😡😡

My 76 year old mother purchased this machine to help my stepfather who has dementia to be more independent. Purchased late January 23 and by the end of June 24 the machine is tripping one of the main RCD fuses at fuse board constantly.12 months guarantee on something as expensive as this is terrible. In the current climate I think it’s disgraceful for something to last 17 months when people are paying good money for items. Obviously a fault with all machines according to reviews.

I got one of hot and cold Aqua Optima machine as a present from member of my family on December 2023, just used it for a month error code E09 appeared and not boiling the water anymore, faulty.
After contacting customer service by email and to manager as well they said we cannot do anything without purchase invoice. How can I have the receipt when it is a gift.
It is a very poor quality despite that fact its very expensive machine around £200.
So if you don't want to put your money in the bin stay away from this machine.
I am not happy with the machine and customer service.
I SUGGEST THAT DON'T USE IT, IT'S NOT SAFE FIRST MY ELECTRICITY FUSE WAS GOING OFF EVERY TIME WHEN I WAS USING IT AND THEN ERROR CODE E09.

I Am 75 Years Old House Bound With Cancer.
I Had This Hot & Cold Water Unit Bought For Me So I Had Both At Easy Reach. Worked Well For Couple Of Months But Then Stopped Cooling Water. Contacted Customer Service. Well They Call There Selves Customer Service (Comedy Act More Like) They Would Not Help As I Was Not Given Invoice For It.
I Do Not Know Why I Bought Another One Myself.
Very Bad Mistake. After 2 Weeks It Started To Blow Fuses, Would Only Give You The Water It Wanted To Not What You Asked For. Now The Hot Water Is Only Just Warm.I Can Only Say Check Out Ebay To See How Many Are Up For Sale & The Amount That Are For Parts Only

My experience with them was a huge disappointment. Not only was the product of poor quality, but the customer support was shockingly bad. It felt like they were intentionally giving irrelevant and unhelpful responses, making it impossible to resolve any issues. Their lack of concern for customer satisfaction has ensured that I will never use their products again.

This was purchased for me the latter part of last year and it has stopped working already, due to the buyer sadly dying i have not got receipt or know where it come from for guarantee so like so many other people it is now helping to fill up the land fill sites. What a shames as i thought it was a great product when working.

Thought this machine would be fantastic having two disabled people in the house. The first machine got stuck in a descaling loop and was unusable luckily the company replaced. Less than a year later the fan has gone into overdrive and sounds like a F1 car going to blow up in the kitchen. Contacted company to find no repair service available and because the guarantee only covers the original purchased machine I’m left with a useless kitchen decoration.

It’s a real shame as this is a lovely bit of kit. But the lifespan and absolutely stupid descaling process let it down massively. Along with the fact it’s none serviceable. We had ours since Sept 22 so that’s 18 months and it’s just broke looks to be the heating element. But it’s just daft for such a big machine it shpuld be take cover off swap part. But no you cannot get the parts it literally a throw away item. Which in a world of waste is frankly disgusting.

Ours came up with the dreaded never ending descaling process that took for ever to complete. It seemed to get an airlock through the process of this and I think that has caused the element to blow. South a shame it’s not reparable.

Realistically aqua optima need to put an override function to allow descaling cancellation. Plus they genuinely need to work on customer service. I mean this is a £150 /£200 appliance you should be able to get it repaired for £50 or so

Total disappointment! Seems great idea. The problem is the descaling!!!! Complicated and my experience! I went by manufacturer recommended 3 litre of vinegar! Tried many times for over 40 mins on one day! Stayed stuck in descaling. Tried again following day! Ended up back with a kettle. Emailed tec support. Given to different recommended amounts of vinegar! 2 litres then 1. Not very helpful. Way too much trouble. Definitely wouldn't recommend this!!!

Very dissapointed that this expensive small appliance has to be binned after just 18 months. Quite pleased with the machine when it was working but started leaking.
Got in touch with manufacturer and they asked me to do some simple checks. When these checks didn't resolve the issue they informed me nothing could be done.
£170 appliance couldn't be repaired which is just not good enough.There are quite a few reviews stating appliance tripping electricity which obviously means water leaking is an issue with this unit
Works out this dispenser has cost me £10 a month for making a few cups of tea which just does not represent economic sense

Love this drink chiller/heater. Just after the guarantee ran out the heating element wore out unfortunately. Strangely the cooling element was still working fine, it makes amazing chilled water.
I sent a polite email to customer support, they responded super quickly and with very little fuss sent a brand new machine with free delivery.
I've had far more expensive items which don't even offer a repair if you're 1 day over the guarantee,so top marks for outstanding customer service.

As many other owners have experienced, it's constantly requiring descaling. Descale with white vinegar as per instructions and a couple of days later, same again. I live in a soft water area so I would think that this is a fault and not an actual requirement. Thanks Optima for a £150 paper weight.

Purchased an Aqua Optima hot and chilled machine and it worked faultlessly for nearly one year then started tripping the RCD. Looking a previous reviews relating to this product it appears to be a common fault. I contacted the company who refused to replace as we had purchased the machine as brand new boxed but second hand from seller that found the machine too big for them. Wish i had read these reviews prior to purchase as i would not have purchased. I am now left with an expensive boat anchor. Thanks Aqua Optima.

Have had 2 machines since April 2023. The first kept tripping out the RCD Switchboard at home after 4 months. Customer Service is excellent, was sent a replacement machine immediately and told to recycle the old one ! After 3 months the replacement showed the descaling light, followed the descaling process only for the light to illuminate again after 2 days. This continued for a month when I had enough of the constant descaling (the machine is unusable until you follow the descaling procedure !) After contacting customer services again I was offered a replacement. I have lost all faith in this machine so obtained a refund from the retailer. Such a shame that a machine which promises ease of use and potential energy saving is of such poor quality. Thankfully the customer service team have been brilliant, although I must admit that I do feel sorry for them having to defend this inadequate product ! But as this review is solely for the product I would give no stars if possible. Customer services 5 stars and a pat on the back.

At first this machine was perfect but now after just over 15 months it constantly needs descaling after every week or so and finally I have E09 error lock + 80°C temp flashing and the boiler is now a huge obsolete device on my kitchen worktop.... I did try contacting the company and left a message but have not had a response seems a bit of an unfixable problem for a rather expensive device

Bought the Aqua Optima Lumi, i have to say i’m very impressed, filtered chilled and dispensed all in one! I got it in the sale from Robert Dyas and it’s one of the best purchases i’ve made, never fails to supply fresh water for the household. Only con i have is it’s a very lightweight machine, there’s a fan at the back which has hot air come out it and needs plenty of ventilation, but if the machine is sitting away from the wall it’s easy to move it when you press the button, i’ve put mine diagonally and it works perfect and stops it from sliding around! Overall amazing company and cheap to run it.

Having bought my first unit late last October this failed tripping out all my electrics after 5 months, contacted the company who were very quick to respond and offered to send out a replacement, this arrived in march this year (23) only for it to again trip out my electrics lasting just 4months.
I caint be bothered to contact the company again as although the machine is very versatile there is obviously a serious fault design within the electric circuitry, I dred to think if my house did not have the safety features within the electrics of the possible consequences.
My advice to prospective buyers is to steer well clear of this make/model

I Love the Aqua Optima, very versatile. I am on my second machine as the first one failed kept tripping out my electricity. So bought I new one thinking I was just unlucky it was only 9 months old. Now the new one is barely 4 months old and again, it is tripping out my electricity. So great machine, but it would seem extremely poorly built. I’m sorry, I’m not buying a 3rd.

AQUA OPTIMA AURORA. Initially I thought it was great, even with the huge cost outlay.
It was good whilst my wife was unable to lift a kettle. She only had to make a cup of tea or coffee.
Now I am fed up with DESCALING every two weeks. I filter my water before putting it in the machine to be filtered again but still end up having to descale every couple of weeks.
I have upgraded my review from one Star, due to the customer service being excellent. I contacted them yesterday, they replied today with the offer of a completely new machine.
Their response has been far better than I ever expected.

Purchased an Aurora AUR001 hot & cold water dispenser back in May 2022. October 2022 something went wrong with it and it was causing our electricity to trip. Contacted customer services via the website. The following morning I had a reply asking for proof of purchase etc. 2 days later, a replacement has been delivered. Excellent customer service, will definitely buy from again in future!
