Bought a pair of Brooks Ghost 12 trainers yesterday. Brooks are running a 90 day trial whereby if the trainers do not suit you can return them. Was advised by Brooks to approach Alton Sports to see if they were willing to honour this trial. Brooks thought that they would. However they WILL NOT. No discussion. Also note that this trainer is £108.00 on their website. I was charged £120.00 even though I picked them up and saved them having to post. Wont be shopping here again anytime soon.

Ordered 2XU running tights (£43.32) on 11th December as a gift for someone for Christmas through Fruugo. Item never arrived, so I called them in the new year. They admitted it had never been sent, dispatched the item and I managed to negotiate 10% off. Item then arrived in the wrong size. Contacted them "again" and this is the response I received from Fruugo:
"This item came from their external warehouse and despite the fact that they still have the size you have ordered available, you will most likely to receive the wrong size again as, apparently, the bags have not been correctly labelled. To avoid another inconvenience as this one, the retailer has kindly asked if you could send the item back to them and once they have it a full refund will be issued to your account."

Why should I pay for incorrectly supplied item???

I then spoke to Alton and explained how utterly ridiculous this was, and they sent me a free return postage and said that once they had received the item they would send out the product in the correct size.

2 days later I receive a full refund with no explanation. I then emailed and they explained that they no longer had the item in the correct size and offered me no compensation or higher cost item as a replacement.

Summary:
1 - Product wouldn't have arrived if I had not chased it
2 - Product was delivered late
3 - Product arrived in wrong size
4 - Fruugo requested me to pay for return postage of incorrectly supplied item
5 - Refund supplied with no compensation.

This is my honest review.

Insufficient staff to deal with customers. We left, had coffee and returned but still waited 20 minutes (20 minutes initially too).

No wonder high street shops are struggling, poor service and I paid £10 more than Inov8's rrp. Of course I won't buy anything from Alton Sports again and return to Sports Shoes.com, where incidentally the same shoe that I bought is less than half the price I paid. Do I feel ripped off? Absolutely so and very cross.

Bestilte et par sko man ikke længere kan få i Danmark på Alton sports i england. Jeg bestilte d. 1 april og har lige fået dem ind af døren (3 april kl. 11.00). Dejligt nemt og meget hurtigt. Jeg er super glad.

For nylig ønskede jeg at købe nogle løbesko på Amazon. Fandt herefter den ønskede model, men var lidt i tvivl om størrelsesforskellen mht. Eu og uk. Kontaktede derefter sælgeren, som hjalp mig igennem det. Jeg bestilte om fredagen, og havde allerede skoene om mandagen, det er ikke engang alle danske virksomheder der kan prale af dette. I sidste uge havde jeg besluttet mig for at købe et ekstra par, og skrev derefter en mail til ejeren Toby, som er en utrolig sympatisk mand, og ville høre om han havde nogle flere af samme model. Desuden ville min kæreste også gerne have to par. Derefter sendte han hurtigt nogle billeder af vores muligheder. Vi besluttede og, og skrev derefter hvilke vi ønskede os. Desværre var prisen på de nye sko en del højere end det første par jeg købte, men Toby sagde at vi naturligvis skulle have dem til den laveste pris. Her skal det siges at der blev lavet en del afslag i prisen. Forsendelsen kostede dog en del, hvilket jeg ikke helt kunne forstå, derfor valgte Toby at vedlægge løbestrømper og t-shirts med i pakken som et plaster på såret. Kan varmt anbefale dette sted, men gør som jeg, og kontakt ham via mail inden, så han kan hjælpe.
