Alligator of Sweden 🇸🇪 – The Original Patented Vegetable Chopper Since 2001
Alligator of Sweden is a premium Swedish kitchenware brand specializing in original patented vegetable choppers, mandoline slicers, and professional kitchen prep tools. Founded in Sweden over 20 years ago, Alligator has grown to serve more than 5 million customers in homes and professional kitchens worldwide.
We build around one core idea: make food preparation faster, safer, and more consistent. Every Alligator product is engineered — not just designed — to deliver repeatable, precise results under real kitchen conditions, day after day, year after year.
Our blades are crafted from premium 301-grade South Korean stainless steel, cold-rolled for superior edge retention and long-term rigidity. Unlike mass-produced kitchen gadgets, Alligator products are based on original patented engineering — ensuring precise, uniform cuts every time, with no knife skills required.
What Makes Alligator Different

- Interchangeable blade grids – switch between 3x3 mm, 6x6 mm, and 12x12 mm cuts
- One-press chopping system – consistent cubes, sticks, and slices in seconds
- Safe by design – hands stay above the blade zone at all times
- Dishwasher safe – dedicated cleaning grid removes residue in seconds

Alligator Chopper
The tool is very well made and easy to operate. The blades will not, however, last for ever, but they are replaceable. I probably get ten years of constant use from one set. Do not get over-ambitious with what you use it for; it's a vegetable chopper and very good at doing what it's designed for.

Odpowiedź od Alligator of Sweden
Thank you for your detailed and helpful review! We're glad to hear that you find the tool well made and easy to operate. You're absolutely right — the blades won’t last forever, but it’s great to know you get many years of use from a set, and we’re happy they’re easily replaceable.
And thank you for highlighting its intended purpose — it truly performs best as a dedicated vegetable chopper.
We appreciate you sharing your experience and are here anytime you need replacements or support!

A crappy surprise 1 month later
Had I known I would be receiving a $20 fedex invoice a month after receiving my order, I would not have ordered. This really should be stated somewhere clearly on the product page or at checkout. This extra bill makes the product absolutely not worth it

Odpowiedź od Alligator of Sweden
We’re very sorry for the frustration this caused. Unfortunately, the import duties and tariffs charged on international orders are imposed by the U.S. government, not by Alligator of Sweden or FedEx. These fees are collected by the government when goods enter the country, and we unfortunately have no control over them.
On our homepage, we include the following information:
“United States and Canadian authorities may impose import duties and taxes on orders arriving from abroad. Our shipping term is Incoterm® DAP (Delivered at Place), which does not include customs clearance, local taxes, or import duties.”

No customer service available
No customer service available. You have to pay import fees if you buy from United States.

Odpowiedź od Alligator of Sweden
The tariffs imposed by the U.S. government are local import taxes that are completely outside of our control. These charges are set and collected directly by the U.S. authorities, not by us. The amount is paid directly to the U.S. government when the goods enter the country, and we unfortunately have no influence over these costs.
We have checked our records but unfortunately couldn’t find any previous emails or phone calls from you. Please note that our customer support team replies to all incoming emails, so if you’ve contacted us before, it’s possible that your message didn’t reach us. Could you please resend your email or let us know how you tried to contact us? We’ll make sure to assist you as soon as possible.
