Ahooga Bike Recenzje 

J’ai acheté un vélo pliant 24V il y a 3 ans maintenant et j’ai eu beaucoup de problèmes avec… Ordinateur de contrôle électrique remplacé 3 fois, moteur remplacé une fois, sous garantie. A présent que la garantie est expirée c’est la batterie qui a lâchée, 300€ dans les dents et le meilleure est que ça ne fonctionne plus… impossible d’utiliser l’assistance électrique. Je ne recommande vraiment pas cette marque. Cher et pas fiable. Passez votre chemin.

The bicycle was delivered as promised within the 1 week delay.
After severe issues with the bike during the first few days, the after sales services were very good and replaced the broken bike within days.
I have had zero issues since and the bike works as expected. The gear-changes are smooth, the brakes are powerful and the electric motor allows handling reasonable hills without loosing speed.

Ceci sera mon 3ème commentaires ici. Le 1er étant pas genial car je rencontrais beaucoup de problèmes avec mon vélo ahooga folding... mon 2ème étant plus un remerciement pour avoir réglé les problèmes rencontrés (j'ai même obtenu un cadeau). Je vous avoue avoir beaucoup apprécié cette découverte vélo, malgré d'autres problèmes que j'ai rencontré Mais il y a maintenant 3 semaines j'ai commandé le ahooga max... je l'attends... j'espère avoir que du positif cette fois. J'ai hâte de commencer cette nouvelle aventure et je reviendrais glisser un commentaire prochainement

very low quality, bike brokes quite often.

Mijn vrouw en ik zijn in het bezit van twee e-bike plooifietsen van Ahooga sinds een aantal jaren (2018). Buiten een paar kleinere mankementjes, waren wij overal best tevreden, tot recentelijk ....
Het flinterdunne draadje van het displaytje van mijn fiets knakte af. Ik vroeg aan mijn fietshandelaar een nieuwe display te bestellen bij Ahooga ... Helaas kreeg ik volgende onwaarschijnlijke mededeling terug van Ahooga: "Dit is een display van de oude generatie (KDE) waarvan we geen wisselstukken meer hebben. De volledige elektronica van de fiets zal vervangen moeten worden naar het huidige AKM-systeem Qua klantenprijs zitten we dan aan ongeveer €620,00 (BTW incl.) aan wisselstukken ..." 😖
Sorry, maar dit is echt beschamend voor een gerenommeerde fietsproducent die een aantal jaren geleden de Duitse design Award verkreeg (voor mij de trigger om Ahooga te kiezen). Noteer dat ik ook vrienden van mij heb geadviseerd om ook twee Ahooga's te kopen (zelfde type) ...
Het is voor mij onbegrijpelijk dat een producent geen enkele stock van displays (waarde ong. 70€) meer ter beschikking heeft voor zijn talrijk klantenbestand in Noord-Europa. Bovenop aan de klant meld zonder schaamrood op de wangen dat ie dan maar als enige remedie 620€ dient te besteden aan nieuwe electronica (een nieuwe display èn een nieuwe motor)
Ik ben echt zwaar teleurgesteld. De Ahooga klanten zijn gewaarschuwd: er is geen enkele garantie dat jullie fietsen lang zullen kunnen blijven functioneren! Marc Anné.

De plooifiets werkt goed maar ik heb een probleem als het regent met de spatborden. Nog iemand? Als het regent en ik ontplooi de spatborden, dan zijn zowel mijn rugzak, jas én jeansbroek nat… alsof er geen spatbord is. Heel vervelend. Zijn er nieuwere modellen spatborden die dit probleem kunnen oplossen? Het regent nogal vaak :-)

Les vendeurs sont de très bons conseils. Le vélo modulas est tout à fait adapté pour circuler en à Bruxelles où le terrain est souvent vallonné. Sa puissance permet de prendre les montées de manière souple et aisée. IL est léger et cela permet de l'utiliser sans la batterie aussi ce qui est un plus. D'avoir pu faire un essaie a été déterminant pour mon choix. Je remercie toute l'équipe pour son accueil, sa gentillesse et sa patience.

The bike is fine to drive. I use it to go to work and I have to go over a hill, something it doesn't seem designed to do but it does the job. My current main issue is (in my opinion) poor designing when it comes to the metal tube holding the seat, and the screw that keeps the seat attached.

The latter broke and it was a pain to repair, it's a 1/4" and it doesn't seem to be common here in Italy, which makes the repair for such a silly object way harder than it should be.

Meanwhile my main complaint about the former part (the tube) is that despite being not a heavy guy (I'm 68kg) I often struggle to correctly tighten the locking mechanism of the tube enough to hold my weight. I think that there could be better ways to design it

Que des bonnes expériences , le personnel est sympa, t’accueillent avec le sourire , sont à l’écoute et dispo pour toi et les éventuels soucis de ton vélo . Ils connaissent très bien aussi toutes sortes d’accessoires disponible sur le marché pour ton vélo et peuvent te donner bon conseil.

The following feedback is from the purchaser as well as friends & family who have all tried it and come with their verdict...

Here are a few great things about the Ahooga Folding 36V bike:
- Foldable pedals
- Balance of bike, with rear motor and centrally located battery
- 20'' wheels (e.g. vs. 16'' for Brompton)
- Overall design "looks good"

From there, the whole experience goes downhill and turns into a wreck.
- If you look again at the (total) weight capacity assumption and distance possible on one charge, you will understand why several users complain about battery capacity...
- The balance of the bike is great when cycling, but makes it really uncomfortable to lift and carry up stairs, as the balance is then much towards the back of the (folded) bike whereas you can only hold it on the front part of the frame...
- Front wheel fitting often makes it rub against disk breaks. Quick release has problems.
- Front wheel folding hook incredibly difficult to use, incl. the infamous syringe move
- Users have reported that their shoes can hit fold rolling wheels
- If using the (expensive) rear bamboo rack, it will likely be scratched if the bike is pushed on wheels
- Fold and unfold instructions in the package did not match bike model, neither did those for charging the battery that needs to be removed to be charged
- Poor equipment quality overall, e.g. rear derailleur not working to gear 1 and rattling in gear 2
- Design wise, the Knog lights require either a two way USB 2 cable or a laptop with ... a USB 2 port. And the bike computer buttons are blocked by the bell in the way, requiring to lift your hand from the handle bar to use it, both inconvenient and unsafe.
- Was advertised as suitable for UK market, but no UK plug was provided, not even upon request.
- Their shipping to the UK is a complete joke logistically speaking, cost wise, but also, please note that they will not remove the Belgian VAT (even if not applicable)...

In conclusion: Avoid.
