Extremely disappointing customer service

Extremely disappointing customer service experience.

I ordered two pairs of shoes from Adidas and instead received two pairs of tracksuit pants due to a packing error by Adidas.

After reporting the issue, providing photographs and following all instructions, I was required to return the incorrectly supplied items before any resolution could occur. While I understand the need to return the items, the process that followed was frustrating and unnecessarily drawn out.

Over a period of more than two weeks, I exchanged countless emails with customer service, often repeating information that had already been provided. I was asked multiple times for screenshots and details that had previously been sent, and at times communication stopped altogether, requiring me to follow up repeatedly for updates.

The most frustrating part was that while Adidas was processing the issue, the shoes I originally purchased sold out. I then selected alternative shoes, only for those to sell out as well while I waited for responses. By the end of the process, we were on the third replacement option for my child.

The shoes had originally been purchased for a family trip. Had the correct items been sent in the first place, we would have received them in time. Instead, we spent weeks trying to resolve an issue that was caused by Adidas' own fulfilment error.

Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What disappointed me was the lack of ownership, the slow communication, and the amount of effort required from me to resolve a problem I didn't create.

I have shopped with Adidas for many years, but this experience has left me very reluctant to purchase directly from Adidas again.

Don’t ever buy anything full price or at all.

Don’t ever buy anything full price. Several times now I have ordered special items and paid full price only for the items to be reduced a day or 2 later, which I wouldn’t mind if they actually express posted the items or did free delivery within a reasonable timeframe. You will be waiting at least 2 weeks to get your order. The customer service is absolutely the bare minimum as well. After my last interaction with them I will literally never buy adidas products again as the service and quality has gone downhill in the last couple of years and they do not care about their customers at all. They ignore any complaints so there’s no point giving feedback either.

Broken payment system

Broken payment system, ignored by customer service
As a loyal adiClub member, I am incredibly frustrated with my recent experience. I spent over an hour trying to make a purchase during a sale, but both the website and app repeatedly showed a “payment refused” error. I tried using multiple browsers, and the error persisted even when I reduced my cart total to less than the value of the Adidas gift card I was trying to use.
To make matters worse, it is nearly impossible to get proper support. I did initially receive a reply from a representative named Rona, but when I informed her that her suggested solution did not work, I was met with complete silence. It has now been three days, four follow-up emails, and messages via Messenger with absolutely no response. The live chat function on the website and app is also broken, constantly looping a message saying “Sorry, your chat needs to be refreshed” without ever actually loading.
Since it is entirely a failure of your online payment platform, I expect Adidas to honor the sale price for the items I was trying to buy and help me process this gift card. It is unacceptable to leave customers stranded like this while sales expire.

TERRIBLE Customer Service regarding a pair of women’s sneakers, which tore at the big toe area and generally broke down within a few months of wear (45 mins walking approx 5 times per week).
Adidas strung me along for over 3 months promising to look into the matter, then dropped me altogether. Stopped contacting me without resolving/replacing the sneakers.

ADIDAS IS DEAD

Adidas Australia made me move to Other brands. After 25 years being a brand fan and buying JUST adidas, they finally did it, pushed me over to open market. I think it's time smaller companies are having a chance.

Terrible product quality, I called as I needed help sorting out a faulty item in my delivery as well as multiple pairs of shoes being the wrong size. If you really want to shop adidas.. GO INSTORE, much less of a headache as their whole online system is a mess

Wasting my time

Wasting my time! Takes too long to get anything resolved! They asked for a product code to apply a monetary voucher but takes too long to get organised. Items I am interested in are possible going to be out of stock because of the lack of urgency to get anything done! This has happened to me before!

Probably the last time i will be using the app!!!

Horrible experience!!!

The adidas F50 laceless kids boots (Lamine Yamal) edition are very attractive to young footballers, but are made of flimsy material. After first trial run, the shiny bottom started to peel off the boot. When we took them back to Ultrafootball, we were told that there is a statement on the box that informs of this occurrence. Obviously we didn’t see this statement when we purchased the boots. For boots that cost $350AUD, you would think the quality is reasonable to get some wear out of them. Nope!

Vouchers don’t work

Absolutely shocking customer service. Only good thing was they reply fairly quickly, however there advice was anything but helpful. I have a $200 voucher and it keeps failing to work and they are telling me it’s my banks issue even thought it’s a voucher! Have tried countless of products and it’s still not working. Waste of a voucher.

Adidas…more like.. Give us your Cash we don’t give a Rat’s Ass

ZERO capacity of accurate inventory reflected at PoS, instead 12 business days without despatch to be told multiple times it’s in process, to then have entire order cancelled.

In-ability for part order of in-stock items to be despatched instead of entire order cancellation and refunded (after 12 business days of waiting)

NIL accurate internal, live communication channels between off-shore customer service team and Aus based warehouse operations.

Completely inaccurate delivery promises of Christmas delivery.

FALSE ADVERTISING, OVER PROMISING, MAJOR UNDER-DELIVERING. This is all I know Adidas for now. It’s a shame I actually liked their products, shame they don’t back it up. Or give a s**t about the customers at all.

Dodgy company

Dodgy company. Wont accept gift card payments on sale items because it would cause adidas to "lose money". As if I didn't pay full price for the gift card in the first place? Customer service advice was to "wait a few days and pay full price for the item".

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible and shame on Adidas Australia. This is the second time they cancelled my order without explaining why the order was cancelled. I sent them 2 emails asking for the reason of cancellation and clarification and no one even cared responding to my email. I have now unsubscribed from their club and updates list and Adidas Australia is dead to me. Adidas used to be my favourite brand

Shameful business

It takes a lot for me to write a review.

I just wanted to express how disappointing this sites customer service and communication has been regarding my order delivery.

A week ago was supposed to be the day of delivery yet I have not even got a track and trace link?

Theses were gifts and I purchased them due to the date of delivery recorded before I checked out.

They make it difficult to contact let alone expecting them to respond. If they can’t provide a track and trace link for delivery at least provide a link for feedback so people affected like me can write a formal complaint.

Fulfilment efficiency is absolute pus! Ordered two weeks ago and still not shipped. Request for follow up and status update completely ignored.

Their 3PL fulfilment is not up to scratch, nor is their customer service. They are trading on their brand and bleeding people dry

Adidas Australia is pretty decent…

Adidas Australia is pretty decent overall. They have a solid selection of gear and shoes, and some of their products are really good quality. But I found prices are a bit steep compared to other brands, and delivery times can be hit or miss. Customer service was okay — nothing to write home about. Good option if you want branded sportswear, but it’s not always worth paying premium.

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Adidas.

I placed an order on 3 November and was told on 5 November that my items were on the way. Then on 7 November, I received an email saying one of the T-shirts had been cancelled — which I accepted. But on 11 November, the same day I was expecting delivery, I got another email saying the shoes were cancelled too.

It took Adidas 8 days to realise items weren’t even in stock, and I only found out when I was expecting the package. These were meant to be a birthday gift for my son, and because of the poor communication, I had no time to find something else.

On top of that, I’ve only received a partial refund. I paid $118 in total ($50 voucher + $68 from my bank account), but I’ve only received $50.71 back. Now I’m left paying $67.29 for one discounted T-shirt. That’s completely unacceptable.

This whole process — delayed cancellations, incomplete refunds, and lack of transparency — has been a total letdown.
Very poor service, and sadly I’ll be thinking twice before buying from Adidas again.
