The ILM 7 Coaching and Mentoring course…
The ILM 7 Coaching and Mentoring course was superb.
The facilitators Gwyn and Annmarie did an excellent job and explained models and methodology’s clearly. Nothing was too much trouble and all questions were answered in easy to understand ways. The group exercises were interesting and each 3.5 hour session flew by.
I highly recommend this course.

The facilitators were active listeners…
The facilitators were active listeners who were able to have group discussions. Teams were split into smaller groups for more personalised discussions and reflections. There was no judgmental, "I know it all" attitude.

I decided to work with Maria (coach) as…
I decided to work with Maria (coach) as we immediately clicked at the chemistry session. We had a lot in common and found lots of synergy and connection.
I needed some support with self-esteem and self-confidence and to work out what I wanted and needed out of my career. I brought lots of different topics to our sessions and Maria was able to unpack and support me through with challenging questions and some mentoring.
By the end of our time together and with Maria's brilliant coaching skills I have ended up in my dream job and my self-esteem and self-confidence have gone up several notches and I find myself going forward at pace.
I can highly recommend Maria as a coach, confidant and a lovely human. I would happily use her as a coach again of I needed to.

Certififed Non-Executive Director (NED) Qualification
Despite having several years Board experience I signed up for this qualification in the knowledge that whilst I would probably not learn a great deal more it would certainly help me demonstrate to those who don't know me that I would be an asset to their Boards as a NED whilst helping to sharpen my toolbox of knowledge from the perspective of a NED rather than an operational director and I can safely say that through my attendance on, so far 3, really interesting modules, led by highly qualified tutors, this is exactly what has happened.
Coupled with the support offered by the Actuate team, to date, I can genuinely say I have been very impressed with the service received and I am really looking forward to continue working with their network in the future as they continue to support my NED career journey.

I recently attended a masterclass on…
I recently attended a masterclass on Transactional Analysis in coaching. The session, expertly facilitated by Maria, provided valuable insights into Eric Berne's framework of parent, adult, and child ego states. The interactive format allowed us to apply these concepts to real coaching scenarios, identifying communication patterns and psychological games that impact client relationships. What I found most beneficial was the practical exercise where we worked as "ego state detectives" to analyze interpersonal situations. The session transformed my understanding of client behaviours and will improved how I manage difficult conversations in my coaching practice.
