20i-Web Hosting have been hosting my site for 2.5 years, and I cannot speak highly enough of them. The speed of my site is fantastic, and I have never had an issue. The customer support team are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I also find them to be polite and professional. I manage my site myself, and if I run into complex issues that I am unable to solve myself, I find them to go above and beyond to help me. So why this review? I've been in the hosting game best part of 20 years and seen many a change, not all for the better I'm afraid, either. I've used various datacentres and hosting companies over the years and recently one of the hosts I was with decided to sell up. Things took a nosedive rather sharply with QOS and support. So, looking into other solutions I came across 20i. Nothing has been too much for them!

So, what's it like importing sites and data? Their import scripts are amazing, effortlessly transferring client accounts from FTP WordPress, DirectAdmin, cPanel (Not tested) Outlook and Gmail. All very efficient, easy to use services. Their mailboxes are very good sizes and although addons like custom name servers, SSL certs for domains not using their nameservers and other small charges don't break the bank, they are in fact very good value for money. Rest assured their site migration tools are pretty solid and remember support are on hand should things go sideways. Top tip - When you've imported a site, use their file permissions checker to make sure it's all secure and will run properly.

What about Support? Well, this is the jewl in the crown for me. It's just excellent! Online chat available most of the time, with a fast ticketing system and very experienced techs on the other end. They've assisted importing things like single character domains that their shopping cart doesn't like, general tech support with specs so I can integrate other services and even if I've been overtired, missed a small setting, they were quick to point out errors and assist in correcting.

Bang for your buck? In short, I don't think you'll find a better value for money service out there. It's like anything, you get what you pay for, and I'm not minding in the slightest paying a little extra for the value of service i'm getting from these guys. I have some really great clients, and they are loving the fact that now they don't have to contact me as much if things go wrong, as things don't seem to go wrong much here at all with 20i. If you care for your clients, give them a little love by offering them services from these.

Are there any extras these offer free? The added bonus - Free HostShop for those wanting to sell their products without setting up WHMCS. These guys do support WHMCS and I'll be updating my setup soon, but Hostshop, their client management facilities and overall segregation of different management tasks is very well thought out and simply implemented. Easy to customise with a bit of HTML and CSS scripting and your own brand can shine through with their platform as a solid backbone for it all.

And what's WordPress Performance like? Their WordPress Management is second to none also. With the ability to create WordPress dedicated packages, they dedicate resources to WP installs giving them the best possible start in life, with addons that can boost performance of the site. Their staging facility is also really cool, leaving it up to you to be as creative as you like without ruining the production install until you're 100% happy with what you've created. Their CDN and Load Balancers also really help with the content delivery.

Sorry for longwinded review, but I really want to reinforce what positive experiences I've had with these, along with countless others, as documented here as well. You can do a LOT worse than trying these, and with their welcome offers I found it was great value while I downsized other operations and brough them across here. Before trying other big names, try these and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

This review doesn't cover everything they offer, but I think it'll be hard for you to find something they don't offer rather than what they do.

I honestly can’t fault 20i. Every time I’ve needed help, they’ve been so quick to respond and always go above and beyond to sort things out. They’re helpful, friendly, and really know their stuff. It’s rare to get this level of support these days — genuinely fantastic team and service.

After using this company for a few years I've had a couple of reasons to get in touch recently. My whole business is online and therefore paramount that it works perfectly. I made some domain adjustments ( wrongly) I got in touch at the weekend and the tech support had me sorted within minutes - I then changed my package after payment was complete and was refunded the discrepancy - also on a weekend.... this is excellent customer service and I will definitely be sticking here for years to come!!

Huge price increase and not offering automated backups makes them uncompetitive.

They also throttle automated backup solutions and migration tools so you are just forced to pay for their additional service and migrating away is really really slow and labourious.

The need to use 20i nameservers to get HTTPS is also really annoying.

Way too much lock in - good luck anyone who tries to move to another provider.

UPDATE 22/07/2025 - after leaving this review 20i does appear to have solved at least two of the issues I had - you can now use LetsEncrypt for SSL without using 20i nameservers and MigrateGuru is no longer blocked.

I do still think basic backups should be included in the price, but outside of that they have addressed my concerns.
