I think zOverstocks are a greedy, sly company.

The company buy as Music Magpie and sell on a number of platforms, such as Amazon, Play.com and their own retail store That's Entertainment. They offer to pay pennies for a new release DVD you have just paid £10 for in ASDA. Then sell these DVDs at a higher price online. They then undercut opponents by a penny each time, so they are always the cheapest, as long as they are still making profit.

My first experience with zOverstocks was on Play.com, where I seen a DVD I was considering purchasing in HMV earlier that day for £11.99 priced at just £2.78. This was a no brainer! I purchased the item and within a couple of hours they refunded me and informed me that the item was no longer available. A few hours later it was listed again at £9.98.

I listed a DVD that they had listed for £6 for £3 as it was in Average condition. When they undercut me to £2.99 I bought there's. Again I received the same message stating I had been refunded because the item was no longer available, and again a few hours later the same item was listed at a higher price.

It seems that if someone undercuts them so they have to sell their product at an unsatisfactory amount to them, they refund. These two experiences with zOverstocks put me off for life and I haven't ordered anything from them since. They are a vile, vile company who I would not recommend to anyone at all.

they conveniently forgot to send me a rare-ish cd then refunded me and relisted the same cd for 3 times the cost the same day. awful unscrupulous company. they used to be good but something changed recently.

Over the last years I've bought over 100 CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs from Zoverstocks. Even with the shipping it's far cheaper than going to a second hand store or renting them.
When I browse through the list of "Used & New" at Amazon.co.uk I always look for Zoverstocks as the first choice.
Great place to buy cheap stuff.

I have only ever had one problem with this company, and they resolved it instantly. I ordered a product that never arrived, and within two hours of me contacting them, they had refunded me. I then purchased the exact same product from the same company, because mistakes happen.

In my opinion, all these negative reviews are those of people who have had one bad purchase, out of hundreds of positives, and just want an excuse to get angry. Mistakes happen - GET OVER THEM!!!

I ordered The Walking Dead season 2 a couple of days ago, arrived before the estimated delivery date. Great delivery just a shame that I received Season 3... Which I already have. Quite a poor mistake to make

I have purchased quite a few CDs from Zoverstocks over the past year or two - and i used to associate their name with cheap goods and reliable delivery.
Since the start of 2014 my experience of them has been pretty poor to say the least. I have had 3 seperate orders which have not turned up at all, and 1 was delivered with a completely battered jewel case and the wrong CD inside.

Ill admit that generally Zoverstocks will sort out the refund after a bit of nagging, or after getting Amazon involved - however after 2-3 weeks its the CD i want - not the money i started the proceedings with.

Wont be using them in the foreseeable

I have dealt a lot with zoverstocks. I love the company and its service. I have never had any problem and will continue to deal with them for the foreseeable future.

I am not a serial reviewer and signed up with Trustpilot specifically to give a good review to zoverstocks.

I know thats a drastic title but I made an order in the middle of February and it still hasn't arrived. At first their excuse was my card details were incorrect, i knew they weren't and so asked them to double check, 1 week later I finally got a reply apologising and saying the details were correct, the order will go ahead. More time went by and no order I emailed questioning this and they replied a few days later saying they will check on the order. More time went by and I emailed them to cancel my order as the time taken was too long. Within minutes my order was dispatched. It has now been around 2 weeks since the dispatched order and several emails back and forth with more late replys and I have no item and no refund. Terrible company, terrible customer service!

Ordered from Amazon as these guys had a CD that I've been looking for for a long time (unsure why it's so rare in England). Was originally due on the 9th March, on the 10th it got pushed back to the 19th and today (20th) it finally came through.
Excited that it had arrived I opened the package ready to play some great music... but instead of my HED Planet Earth 'Broke' CD, I found Go West 'Aces and Kings' best of Album... I'm sure it's a great CD, but it isn't what I ordered!

I bought an item from them unbeknownst to me that they are the infamous Music Magpie. The company that offers you pennies for second hand goods and sells them for a whopping profit. Zoverstocks use algorithms that eliminate the competition, for example. I list an item on Amazon for sale at the lowest price of say £1.99. Within minutes Zoverstocks will have undercut you by listing theirs at £1.98. This will continue until your item can drop to as little as 1p. Which is unfair to the little guy on the street trying to make a few quid, without going through Music Magpie who will offer you buttons.

I ordered 40 CDs and they all arrived in pretty good nick, can't really see where this can have been going wrong for other folks my transaction was as smooth as a baby's bum-bum.

I order something and the same time i send it 8 emails because i have wrong shipping address.and i ask to send to another address....AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE and me we try too many times but no RESPONSE...anyway the item dispatced next day with the wrong address......................................................................

I got fed up with Zoverstocks some time ago because they cancelled so many orders supposedly due to quality control issues. This was unlikely to be true. Recently I gave in and ordered again, after one successful order the second was cancelled. They buy as Music Magpie and sell on a number of platforms. The reality is likely to be that they can't/don't control their stock records. I won't be ordering from them again because I have had too many disappointments and nothing appears to have changed having given them another chance. They tend to deliver on run of the mill stuff but anything out of the ordinary is completely hit and miss.

Ordered 2 CDs on 8th of Feb, by the estimated delivery date, they never came. Got an e-mail after I asked what happened that my order was cancelled when I done no such thing. Another E-mail 2 days later saying it was a system problem, another 2 days I got told I was getting replacements because the couriers lost my CDs. They then said I will be getting replacements, I have not received them since.
Straight to the point
Customer Service - Shocking, it should not take 3 days to a week to reply.
Prices - prices are good, if you actually get the item.
Organisation - They need to keep more track of their stuff, it's quite appalling.

I have been ordering music from Zoverstocks via Amazon for a long time now and have doubled my CD collection because of them. A vast amount of the CD's that I bought cost me between 1p and 10p and have always arrived within the stated dates. I do find that they never turn up very quickly but what's the rush ? There have been times when some CD's have skipped or not been in the condition that is stated and every time I send them a message about this they respond with a generic response and issue a refund. I really do not understand why people are bashing them so often as they have always responded in 24 hours and always issue a refund and do not ask for me to return the faulty items. This has also been the case when something has failed to arrive. I really cannot recommend them enough if you want to boost your music collection for pennies. I have also bought films and games from them and the same applies to these as well. They are reliable, have good customer service and sell things so cheap it is almost like a dream come true. Don't take my word for it though, order a CD for a penny and see for yourself.

Our childen are waiting for the package. 8 days overdue. They are not responding to any e-mails!!!! I hope they goes bankrupt.

I ordered CDs from this company which was fine and received them within a few days.
However they decided to inform me that the same order was gonna be sent out again.
I immediately informed them this this was a duplicate order which I hadn't placed and was their error.
Despite numerous e mails back and forth to cancel this order they said there wasn't anything they could too and the CDs had been dispatched as it was too late to cancel, however they were informed as soon as I re curved the e mail about the duplicate order.
I have asked for a returns envelope and asked to be refunded. I'm still waiting and in the mean while I have 2 of each cd that I ordered.
Why??!!!! Why would anyone want the same cd twice.
This companys customers service is deplorable when there is a problem and isn't a good endorsement for play.com who use this company.

I've used Zoverstocks on occasion on both Amazon and Play. They are usually reasonably priced and delivery is quick.

Having used them quite a few times now I actually look for them on any DVD/Blu-ray I order as they have been very trustworthy.

I've used Zoverstocks on numerous occasions and always via Amazon..

All items have been sent within the time limit stated..

On the one occasion I was sent a faulty disc, this was put right immediately and a full refund issued.

I've always found they respond to emails within 48 hours, this I feel could be quicker.

I personally have complete faith in this company, and will continue to use them as my first port of call for any DVD's or CD's that I may need in the future.

Don't use this company. I just placed an order for a CD on Amazon's 'New and Used' list. Three days later Zoverstocks cancelled the order, which cost just over £6, without explanation. Assuming they had made a mistake and didn't actually have the CD in stock I rechecked seeking other vendors only to find Zoverstocks had relisted the item at over £10.

Utter ripoff
