The cost is equivalent to one week's rent, plus a £59.99 set-up fee, and is intended to provide an alternative to paying a traditional cash deposit upfront.

I am glad that I only used you this once and that I will never have to again . I would say that many Landlords could be elderly as we are . We had to employe an IT person because your system of gathering information was so complicated . You applied pressure every time you requested more info giving only a few days each time . we were not allowed to claim the full amount.!!!!

We're sorry to hear that you had difficulty with submitting a claim. Our team, based in Milton Keynes, is always happy to help with claims submissions.
The information we need to manage a claim is the same as it is with a cash deposit and we use a similar system. The process is designed to be easy to follow. One of our complaints team will be in touch to understand what could have worked better for you.
In terms of the claimed amount. You are limited to a maximum of six weeks of cover. This is more than a cash deposit. There are no limits within that. However, if - on review - the evidence does not support the full claim being paid we will only be able to recommend the insurer pays a fair settlement.

I will never use zero deposit again not a nice company or people. Disgusting what they do to people 1st was bad but I done as they asked to take money again from us is horrific

When a claim is made against the guarantee, both sides need to provide evidence.
If the insurer needs to pay out on your landlord's claim, then the tenant agrees to pay back any money they pay.
