Parts of my order weren't available, but they actively communicated alternatives and answered questions. In addition, they shipped a second package after the first got lost due to Royal Mail issues!
My experience was initially a little concerning.
I bought some replacement smooth rods and bearings for my 3D printer, and I chose Zaribo, one of the only UK consumer companies that stock Misumi parts.
The price was a little high; I blamed that on no longer being part of the single market.
Shortly after ordering, I received an email stating they didn't have some of the smooth rods I needed in stock. They suggested that I instead accept carbon fibre rods and dry bearings, with the added benefit that my printer would become silent.
This suggestion initially threw me off. It felt like I was being sold something I didn't need. Of course, it didn't help that information online on carbon fibre rods for 3D printing is sparse at best—lots of anecdotes, not much research or data.
I responded, stating that I'd rather wait if they restocked the traditional steel parts within the next month. I also asked a few more questions about the carbon rods, particularly their expected lifetime.
They again responded quickly, explaining that they had no plans to restock the steel rods as Misumi had raised their prices too much. They offered their own experience using the carbon rods, saying they had yet to replace any.
I accepted this, and they promptly shipped the adjusted order and refunded me the price difference.
I received a tracking number, but the Royal Mail website stated that there would be updates only once delivery was attempted.
Two weeks later, and no updates or movement. I contacted them again, and they responded, sharing that Royal Mail recently suffered database issues, and the tracking message was something they'd never seen. I was reassured that I'd be covered if it didn't show up.
Three days later, I emailed asking for an update, and they said they'd contact Royal Mail and refund or re-ship once they heard back; not long after, I got another shipping notification with a tracking number!
One working day later, I received the package. Everything arrived as described and was protected adequately.
They were easy to talk to, and even though I encountered problems, I trusted them to pull through. I'd noticed before purchasing that Zaribo don't have many reviews, so this was my "not perfect, but handled perfectly" experience.
