It took 3 calls AND 2 emails
It took 3 calls, 2 emails that started 08/29/2024 and a month to get someone to come check for a warranty issue on my A/C that was installed 02/29/2024. Now 4 cancellations, 1 no show and its been another month and my car is still not fixed. I believe things are not good at Wrench/YourMechanic. Customer service response has been HORRIBLE, technicians don't seem well trained and I completely certain that the company is or should go out of business. People have given you thousands of dollars and they get treated like trash. Just disappointing....

I am having an issue and send in an email and have called and no one is addressing my issue.
What an absolute joke
What an absolute joke. Our first mechanic after confirming our appointment on Friday, did not show up at all. After spending an hour and a half attempting to get ahold of someone at customer service, was told that they may be able to reschedule. The second mechanic showed up late on Saturday, spent 5 minutes looking at the car and decided to cancel the appointment as he couldn’t fix what was needed (we told him the issue, and how to access the hood latch from the exterior of the vehicle.) A complaint was lodged and we were told that we were not eligible for a refund as the diagnostic was performed (even though it wasn’t, and the cover for the latch release was removed and never put back by the technician.) Save your money, sanity, and time by finding a reputable local mechanic that will actually solve the issue with the money they’ve been given.
Absolute Trash
I made an appointment to get my alternator replaced and it was between 8:30 to 10:30. The mechanic "Rick" never arrived, never sent a message and never contacted me. I reached out to customer service and spoke with "John" he informed me that he would call "Rick" and get back to me within ten minutes. Ten minutes passed and no callback. I called the customer service line again, informed the new agent what happened, and the new agent asked me to reschedule. I saw the reviews on here already and figured out what was going to happen. I told him that I wanted to cancel and not be charged the 150$ fee since there was no service and nobody showed up or even reached out to me. He said that he could do that, so I asked him to provide me that information via email in writing in case I end up needing it. He didn't send me one directly, but I did see that the service cancellation notice that I was sent after he cancelled clearly stated that I "haven't been charged a cancellation fee since I cancelled the service early enough." I think the only difference between me and the other people that experienced this same issue is that I had time to call customer service multiple times. If you wait more than a few minutes they will charge you. I also called them at 10:20 (ten minutes before the appointment window ended) and that was documented. When it comes to dealing with sketchy companies its best to get everything in writing for your own protection. I will be checking very religiously to make sure my money goes right back to my account, and if it doesn't I will do my best to make it their problem.
only mechanics' time is precious apparently
I was scheduled for an appointment at 8a today, it is now 4:22p and I have yet to receive any communication from anyone as to why no mechanic arrived. I called the customer service number multiple times, each time I waited on hold for 20 minutes and then was disconnected. I have put a hold on my card, as if I wanted to reschedule or cancel said no-call/no-show appointment, I would be charged $150!
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! IT'S A SCAM! I had an appointment for yesterday, and no one showed up called, or emailed. I called 2 hours after the window closed, and then they said to reschedule today! Guess what Day 2, no one showed up! Then when I called now they wanted to charge me the $150 to Cancel! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICDE! IT'S A SCAM!
They ghosted me!!!
I was referred to them by my warranty provider. I have a 7 day window for my repairs to be reviewed/covered. I set an appointment hours after delivery and have been getting the run around. I took off work TWO DAYS to be available for my appointments no one showed up nor called to cancel. They simply did not come. They took my credit card information because There is a $150 cancellation fee if I don’t make my appointment. I’ve now been trying to speak with someone for 2 hours(day 3) to no success. I hold and after 20mins the call disconnects. I’m going to have to return the vehicle because I can’t get it reviewed. This is insanely frustrating.
installer showed up with wrong parts…
installer showed up with wrong parts blamed for the erro and then charged me $1002 on order quoted @ $838 then left after reinstalling the damaged part
What a Joke
What a Joke
Scheduled my appointment 9/25 - rescheduled 4 times - charged additional fees twice for parts/workload - Was told the cancellation would be fine and immeaditly hung up stating there wouldn't need to be refund yet I paid money already. Sent and email with no response, called them and no response. Horrible business.
Horrible Service
They scheduled my appointment twice and canceled both times. The first time it was a no-call/no-show. I called and waited 45 minutes on hold with no response. They then called me later apologizing for the cancellation and offered to reschedule. We rescheduled for the next day. This time, they sent me a cancellation confirmation email saying that I'm the one who canceled the appointment. I didn't cancel anything! Again I called to complain. This time they didn't pick up the phone. It's safe to say that the best course of action is to go to a mechanic shop...or find a competent mobile mechanic service.

Scammed and Disrespected
I used this Wrench DBA YourMechanic to get my car repaired on 9/14/2024 they misdiagnosed my vehicle. My concern was that my car was loud and making a knocking noise whenever I accelerated. The mechanic looked at the car and said it was a pulley on the engine and the belt needed to be changed. I paid $150 for this diagnostic and had complete faith that the mechanic was knowledgeable. The mechanic sent me a quote through the YourMechanic app, which cost $475. I agreed to the price, and the appoint was for Monday, 9/16/2024. That Monday comes, and he has the parts and completes the repair. He then told me that the sound was still happening, and that it’s my A/C compressor, and that he had misdiagnosed it.
I was really frustrated by this as he told me they would have to send me another quote and could do a warranty repair. He seemed antsy at this point because he knew he had messed up. I called the company, and they send another mechanic out for a warranty repair that cost me another $150. I was told I would receive this money back if the mechanic confirmed the problem, and indeed, the other mechanic said it was my A/C compressor, and the parts he changed were not needed. I never received my $150 back. I spoke to different reps and was told the repair would be $1300, and since the parts that weren’t needed were installed, they couldn’t give me a free repair. But they can take $100 off. I steadily kept telling the rep that this was wrong and that I shouldn’t have paid for parts to be installed that I didn’t need, and they hung the phone up in my face multiple times. They refused to give me credit for the repair that was not required or refund me. They are not trying to fix the problem or admit guilt of their mechanic. I feel taken advantage of, disrespected, and outright scammed.
False Refund Promise
YourMechanic.com failed to transfer and read my note instructing them that my key was in the visor over the drivers side. The mechanic not receiving this instruction tried contacting me while I was at work and couldn't answer the call. They canceled the appointment and charged me a $150 cancellation fee.
I spoke to a representative that found that note and clearly said a refund would be issued. He claimed it would take 7-10 business days for the refund to show up. That was on August the 27th 2024. I called back again on September the 24th asking why I hadn't received that refund. That representative said it was still under review and had been escalated.
I asked to speak with a supervisor and was placed on hold for several minutes. He then came back and said no supervisor was available. I will hand this case over to my attorney's and make sure this experience goes viral to alert others of their criminal and unethical business tactics.
Didn't complete the work, but still got charged
Absolute nightmare of a service. My mechanic was multiple hours late. I paid for a diagnosis, but they didn't fully diagnose the issue. What am I paying for if they aren't going to diagnose the issue?
The mechanic did note some issues and said they would be sending me a report and quote shortly. I could book the service and he would come back in a few days to do it.
I never received a quote, as Wrench stated that they did not offer the service needed to fix the vehicle. I asked to talk to the mechanic, as he was perfectly willing to do it, but they wouldn't give me his information. After I complained, they blocked my access to the diagnostic report too.
This all took months to go through, as Wrench customer service simply does not respond. They wasted so much of my time and refused to refund the money, despite not providing me with the service I paid for.
Installed Bad Alternator in Honda Odyssey
I recently had my Honda Odyssey serviced by Eliud Hernandez on June 15, 2024. Eliud replaced the alternator and cleaned the car brakes. While the brake service was satisfactory, I have encountered a critical issue with the new alternator (Bad Alternator). It is not charging the car battery properly, despite installing a brand new battery.
This malfunction caused my vehicle to stall unexpectedly in the middle of the road shortly after the alternator was replaced. This is highly concerning, especially since I have important travel plans scheduled for same week that require my vehicle to be fully operational.
I have attempted to contact Eliud and the support team multiple times, but have not received their response. This lack of support from Eluid is disappointing and has left me in a difficult situation. I would NOT recommend Eluid Hernandez for any car service.
They scheduled me 4 times and never…
They scheduled me 4 times and never showed up. They kept my money and never returned it after the initial visit when they broke my car. It was running when they came, but not after they left. They lie and steal.
On time and quickly repaired thank you
I had my CV Axle replaced Aug 10
I had my CV Axle replaced Aug 10, 2024. In the process the tech broke one of the studs on the wheel. He had to bend it by pounding it with a hammer, then cutting it until he could break it off. I am not comfortable driving with a stud and lug nut missing!! The tech told me he would inform the company and they would contact me to repair it. No one has ever contacted me. They NEVER answer the customer service line EVER! They have a recorded message saying leave your name, email, phone number and detailed information for faster response! They never call back. The hi@yourmechanic email also NEVER RESPONDS.
The only way I have even talked to anyone is to call as if I was requesting a new project. Those reps are very nice and try to help, saying they have escalated the case and requested the proper dept call me back. After 3 escalations, NO ONE has called back. I tried again this morning and the rep tried to call the dept responsible and he said unfortunately, there is no one available at this time, meaning...no one is answering the calls, and says all he can do is escalate the call again!!
YourMechanic is more like YourMistake!!
Run!
I had a terrible experience with YourMechanic.com / Wrench. In April 2024, I scheduled a battery replacement service, and not only did the technician fail to properly reattach the fender cover that protects the battery, but it also went missing after the service. I immediately reached out to their customer service by phone and email, but despite multiple attempts, I received no response.
On May 6, 2024, I sent an email following up on the fender issue, but that email went unanswered. Today, an agent falsely claimed that I had received a voicemail from the company on May 6 regarding the fender repair, which is not true. This misleading statement only adds to my frustration and dissatisfaction with their service.
Two days ago, I contacted them again because the brand-new battery they installed has already failed. My car had to be towed to a repair shop, where I had to purchase a new battery and pay for labor again. YourMechanic.com / Wrench advertises a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty on parts and labor, but they have refused to honor it because my car is now at a shop. During this initial call, I was told their warranty department would call me back within two days with a resolution, but instead, they refused to inspect it at the shop where it is currently located. They suggested that I pay an additional $150 to have the car towed back home so their mechanic could inspect it, which would bring my total towing fees to $300. If they find nothing wrong with the car, I would have to pay another $150 for the inspection. This is completely unacceptable.
I finally heard back from their warranty department escalation, and they offered no new resolution other than what was previously suggested. They even refused to cover the towing cost if it turns out the battery they installed was defective. When I asked if they would at least cover the tow if the battery was indeed faulty, they refused. I explained that the cost for them to fix it is higher than just getting a new battery, but the representative stated there was nothing more they could do. I informed them that I would be contacting consumer protection agencies and my bank to file a dispute.
I requested all records of my communication with YourMechanic.com / Wrench, but the agent ended the call abruptly, and I still haven't received those records. This company has been nothing but frustrating to deal with, and I cannot recommend their services to anyone. I will be proceeding with getting my car fixed by another company because I cannot afford to be without it any longer. I expect a full refund for breach of contract as well as the cost of parts and labor for another company to perform the fender repair.
YourMechanic.com / Wrench has been unresponsive, uncooperative, and has shown a complete disregard for customer service and warranty obligations. Avoid this company at all costs.
Mechanic Misdiagnosis & Negligent Customer Support
💰 We often think business "success" is cash flow. However, that is short term. I think what really defines success is how a business handles things that go wrong.
When a business shines in customer service, they reap the rewards of free word of mouth promotion.
I know from experience in marketing that 50%+ of peer to peer recommendations can result in customer action.
When they fail, that opportunity dissolves and even works against future earnings potential.
Wrench, Inc. YourMechanic (Acquired) you have failed. For years, I have regularly told my friends to hire you. I have never had a bad experience, until now.
Last week, my car broke down.
On Wednesday the ABS light came on and the engine was making some grinding noises. Eeep! I had to get it towed home.
When I got home at 2am I booked a diagnostic.
Your own customer service staff agree that the intent of a diagnostic is to diagnose what is wrong with the vehicle. The outcome is a report on the health of the car. It is a continued business driver for Wrench because it recommends further services.
Wrench team, I want to give you my money! Please tell me how to spend it so I can get back on the road.
The mechanic did not do their job. They only recommended that I needed coolant, which we put in the vehicle and then he said that it is no longer making the grinding noises. When I turned the vehicle on the next day and tried to take it to Jiffy Lube as a double check... it was still making grinding noises. I walked to an automotive store and bought more coolant. Still making noises.
I know from a previous diagnostic that this mechanic should have recommended break pad replacement. Your customer service team sees this in their records. This mechanic should have also recommended the brake light replacement service. I did this on my own after going to the automotive store.
Since there are further issues that the mechanic did not identify, I Googled and educated myself for how to get the vehicle into engineering test mode. This identified that the vehicle is in need of an oil change and the emission system light is on.
These are things that should have been in the diagnostic report.
Last Saturday I contacted your customer service team to inform them of the misdiagnosis. They agreed that the items outlined should have been in the report and the mechanic should have recommended further services.
I requested that your team redo the diagnostic. I will pay for a second opinion! If there are further issues discovered, the previous $160 cost becomes credit on my account.
This should not be a big deal for your team to execute. And it is a small dollar request that lets you keep the cash and get MORE cash for additional services that the mechanic should recommend.
Why is this taking almost a week now to solve with me calling every day and your service team continuing to tell me you'll get back to me in 24hrs?
I had to say something about it. Love your company but this is just inexcusable!
