My mechanic no showed twice

My mechanic no showed twice, so I just kept working on the repair myself. I had to call support multiple times to reschedule the mechanic and renegotiate the price. When they recalculated the price once I got the parts myself, it was MORE expensive than the price they quoted with the parts. Then, when we finally settled on a price and the mechanic showed up, I had already completed most of the repair myself, provided all of the parts (which I had to go get at Autozone because the mechanic told me the readily available part wasn’t available until the next day) and all he ended up doing was bleeding the brakes, which took him about 30 minutes and I paid $370 for it. I was charged for work on the brake line that he barely helped with and didn’t even put my tire back on. It was a complete waste of money and a giant hassle for me.

Wrench itself is great

Wrench itself is great. But be careful when dealing with the mechanics directly. Some of them are shady. One named Justin mwirigi in Seattle, he took the payment for parts and labor but never provide or perform the service. Im in the process of getting my money back.

Never again

Never again, don't know how you vet your people but not worth the money. Showed up i a car with minimal tools, Wearing sweatpants and slippers. Took off my wheel and stripped a wheel lug, had to pay a "real " mechanic $100 to replace. So the $150 "diagnostic" and the $100 to repair my wheel just an all round bad experience $250 wasted.

DO NOT USE AFTERPAY FOR MECHANIC USE

The mechanic arrived with the wrong part for my car. i made the payment using "afterpay", I was never reimbursed, I still paying for the battery that was never received I will never used this company again.

Not satisfied so far.

Knowing I needed a water pump, I scheduled diagnostic to be safe. diagnostic went great on Wednesday. Immediately scheduled appt for water pump, battery, oil change for Friday am 7:30-9:30am. i received an email at 7:15am on the day of the appt. saying my quote was ready and had increased by about $300 due to possible misquote on part, reviewing new quote only difference is labor. Called them at 7:41am gave credit card for difference, appt supposedly on hold, called me back at 8:02am to tell me Sunday at 12pm is first they have available... i will update my review Sunday if they come or what happens from there. Experience so, far I will never use again

They are HORRIBLE

They are HORRIBLE - I set an appointment on 4/30 and they have me a time of 11-1 on 5/1 - I took the day off work and they didn’t show but took my $150. They claim the reservation didn’t come through but when I called and gave them my phone number they had all my details!!! Now they are saying I have to wait until 5/2 so that’s another day of taking off work!!! Your system not working is yall problem but I’m losing financially because I have to take two days off work.

The mechanic was good. The fixed cost of labor was a joke.

The mechanic was good. But I ended up paying $433 for a new battery. My local (high end) shop would have charged me less. Wrench charges 1 hour labor minimum at $160/hour plus a $150 fixed diagnostic fee. I understand there are fixed costs in having someone drive to my house but it feels like they are double dipping and adding on top. I'm not certain what the mechanic actually got paid but this feels like the Uber version of mechanics. Another "disruptive" tech company that may have started out good but doesn't value out now. I won't be using again.

UPDATE: Received a voice mail stating that Wrench doesn't charge labor by the time it actually takes to complete a job but rather the "average" for a quoted job. So apparently there is someone out there within there network who would take an hour to replace a battery? My 10 year old with no experience might take 20 minutes for figure out which wrench to use. Further evidence this company is a joke.

I wish there was a -5 stars icon to…

I wish there was a -5 stars icon to push. We hired a Wrench mechanic to come to the house and diagnose a problem - I'd broken down near the freeway last Saturday and had the car towed home. I thought it was a local company but now I see that their address is in the Columbia Center in downtown Seattle - great place for a car repair facility lol. They quoted us one price, then charged another - they added other stuff that they may or may not have done but did not fix the actual problem, so they were to come back this afternoon and quoted another $800 +/- to try to figure it out. we thought better of it. $150 to cancel the appointment and to top it off, they charged another $933 to my card without even telling us exactly what for before they even showed up. I immediately called my bank and had all the charges from yesterday and today put on hold. We are willing to pay for what they did (even though the car isn't fixed) but no more than that, and, they could not say that this new thing would be the actual fix. F their "cancellation fee". I sort of feel sorry for their mechanics, this is all corporate BS and they expect that most people will take their borderline fraudulent tactics. Well, not us.

Quoted $800 to fix a problem

Quoted $800 to fix a problem - didn't get fixed. Quoted another $800 to 'try' another fix. Decided to get raped for another $150 to cancel the appointment and start over. Better off giving your money to Hezbollah.

Wrong part! Overcharged. Cancelled appointments

Needed o2 sensor replaced. First Wrench mechanic showed up with the wrong part. Had to reschedule for the next day. 2nd appointment. He put the part in but problems persisted. Scheduled a 3rd appointment for a diagnostic. Mechanic #2 told me the o2 sensor put in was faulty but not to worry, it’s under warranty and he’d replace it for free so I set up a 4th appointment. Unfortunately, that mechanic decided to cancel our appointment over an hour after he was supposed to show up! Had to make a 5TH APPOINTMENT with my now 3rd mechanic. That mechanic practically tore my car apart but said he couldn’t replace the part. After he left, I received a call saying I would have to buy a 2nd o2 sensor since apparently the original mechanic put in the upper stream instead of lower stream. Oh, and I’ll have to make a sixth appointment and pay again for a brand new part. I had a part replaced, but it turns out didn’t even need to be replaced, but still have yet to get the correct part. I’ll check back if the 6TH APPOINTMENT goes any differently, but at this point, I cannot say enough negative things about this so-called service and would never recommend it to anybody! They’re cheating me out of $250 and I hope they enjoy it because it’s the most expensive money they’ll ever make! Six appointments and having to pay doubleheader to cover for their mistakes is beyond ridiculous!

The mechanic had the wrong part

The mechanic had the wrong part. I cancelled the appointment so we could order a different part and I was still charged the $ 150 cancelation fee. My attempts to resolve this were unsuccessful as there is no one to call and no one responds to emails.

I will never use this service again.

Small claims court

Don't worry . If you don't refund my $150 .I will get more in small claims court . I won't let you scammers take money for free . You never sent driver ,no answer and scamming me for my hard work money ! Giving people emotional distress!!

I had paid for a consultation to come…

I had paid for a consultation to come out and do a diagnostics and they never showed up the first day so I called back next day and they rescheduled it I had six different appointments set up and none of them called and came out at all. And they sent me they only have one person in my area and he's canceled every single time and I told him last time that I was worried that if they didn't come out I was going to lose my car because it was parked on a business parking lot and I needed them to fix it so I can move it and what happened is they canceled again and I lost my card because it got towed and I am beyond furious with them and I will never use them again

Multiple appointment cancellations

Multiple appointment cancellations. Did not attach starter ground wire correctly causing intermittent starts. Charged for a start relay and diagnosis during re-diagnosis that was not bad. Asked for refund from the warranty department for the re-diagnosis and got no response. Took car to a reputable national shop chain and told them to keep it for a week or until they could figure out the issue. $125 later, ground wire inserted properly and have not had one problem since. Never trust what they say. Nation wide scam artists that don't stand behind their guarantee. Google reviews is my next stop.

The mechanic Hector R did not show up…

The mechanic Hector R did not show up for the appointment. The excuse Wrench gave me was that the mechanic had an emergency, and the only option I had was to wait for another week with a rescheduled appointment. I WILL NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY, and will warn other customers about the way this company takes responsibility. I have a recorded call of the conversation with the customer support representative Mr. A.J and Mr. Mark ( and they sounded the same on the phone)

I scheduled an appointment for the 23rd…

I scheduled an appointment for the 23rd of March at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. I called to check in and see where my mechanic was they told me that they rescheduled my time to 11:30 to 1:40 p.m. then I called again at 2:00 p.m. to ask where was the mechanic then they told me that they had rescheduled. And no time was I alerted before time that they would change my times or they would reschedule me poor communication from this company this is not the way to do business and now I'm without my vehicle even longer it's better to take your car into a shop to actually have it worked on because this company does not respect you or your time.
