Avoid this company. Our vacation was completely ruined. We didn't get our deposit back.
The company charged my entire deposit (€1,250) on the day of the rental instead of simply blocking it as a guarantee. I also purchased comprehensive insurance, but later discovered it wasn't actually "full coverage" due to hidden exclusions in the contract that I wasn't properly aware of.
Later, after starting the parked car, a very strong odor suddenly appeared. The car was taken away, and I was then accused of damaging the clutch. I'm an experienced driver of manual transmission cars, so these accusations came as a complete shock.
Communication with the company was extremely difficult. We were treated rudely, our questions were ignored, they yelled at us, hung up on us, and didn't respond. The company is very small and only operates in Faro, which created even more problems for us.
Because of this situation, we had to completely change our travel plans, rebook hotels, and drive from Lisbon back to Faro to get another car.
Now they're refusing to refund our money and seem to want to repair the car at our expense.
The company's handling of this situation appears unfair and opaque. I'm now forced to continue litigating with my bank, consumer protection agencies, and the courts.

Empfehlenswerte Autovermietung direkt am Flughafen Faro zu einem guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Fahrzeug entsprechend der Klasse und in guten bis sehr guten Zustand.Unkomplizierte Abwicklung bei Abholung und Rückgabe. Rückabwicklung der Kaution ist zügig erfolgt. Nettes und geduldiges Personal trotz der vielen Kundschaft. Gerne wieder.

Top! Empfehlung in Faro
Wir haben im März/April 2026 einen Kleinwagen in Faro am Flughafen gemietet und hatten keinerlei Probleme. Sowohl Abholung, als auch Abgabe liefen schnell, professionell und problemlos. Freundliche Mitarbeiter, kein Aufschwatzen von Versicherungen, Kaution wurde nach Rückgabe automatisch auf die Kreditkarte zurück gebucht. Auto (Citroen C30) hatte keine technischen Mängel und war in einem guten Zustand. Wir würden jederzeit wieder bei YES Car Hire buchen.

We had a very smooth experience. Right from instructions on where to go to collect car.
We had a very new car, seat Ibiza. Was very clean, no damage or marks!
Very quick process in completing paperwork, payment etc.
Simple instructions on how to get out of car park, and what you needed to do on return.
We will be hiring again from this company.
