I’ve been buying Yankee Candles for years. I’ve noticed the last while that they’re just not the same anymore. Absolutely no scent from them whatsoever. They used to be the best but it’s time to find a better brand

I have researched Yankee candles. So here's my thoughts and what I recommend to have a great experience of your jar.
Once opening your Yankee candle jar, cut the wick a little, and burn for at least 2-4 hours. You'll likely experience the top of the jar, having some black soot, just take a kitchen roll and wipe the soot away, as I believe that the soot holds back the scent. So those with a negative experience, try this and hopefully it'll be a positive one next time. It works for me lol...

Cancelled half of my items so I ended up paying 5£ shipping for a 2£ item. No responses to my many emails to customer service. Please don’t buy!

Being a candle lover, probably one of the worst burning candles I've experienced. Received one as a gift. Thankfully it didn't cost me money. Jar was black in a short time. I binned half way through.

I am incredibly disappointed with a Yankee candle I have recently purchased. Despite multiple burns and keeping the wick trim I have had numerous problems. When I light the candle the flame immediately becomes very strong and makes a sound similar to a firework. It is also a very sooty candle and even for a short burn time. I have soot in my nostrils which really scares me. I have purchased numerous candles before and had no problems so I am extremely disappointed in this, I believe the candle had been manufactured improperly. The candle is Yankee Candle Home Inspirations Campfire Stories 340g. The barcode is 5 038581 168449. There are two additional numbers listed which are 252924752 and 2656536E.

Overpriced rubbish, we noticed lines up the walls coming from the radiator on the opposite side of the room from the large Yankee candle that was burning for a few hrs. I wasn't happy with using them in the first place after reading about the fumes potentially being carcinogenic but my girlfriend didn't take this seriously and carried on using it.

As a result my newly refurbished bedroom filled with smoke and soot from this candle, leaving it all over the window frame and walls with a smell of smoke.

I don't want to know how this can be "minimised" by trimming the wick and cleaning the soot from the jar or using a spout. I will never have another candle like this burn in my house again and I strongly recommend anyone else to do the same.

1star is too good, and the reviews say it all.
Avoid they are not interested in the delivery not showing up over £70 out of pocket.

Such a shame especially over the Christmas period! I bought 3 large double wick candles from the Cheshire Oaks factory outlet…All 3 have burned unevenly and have often burnt out completely…We have had to pour the hot wax out to get the candle wick burning again. What has happened Yankee Candle? It seems your lovely candles from the past have lost their quality and fragrance. At these prices I expect better…Another customer lost unfortunately.

Received a £30 cinnamon stick candle. Made the glass go black and burnt bad and dirty with hardly any smell. Yankee Candle response was that the wick was too long. What a joke ..

1 star is too generous for a £30 candle which won't even stay lit from new.
How hard can it be!
Couldn't recommend and will certainly not be buying another Yankee candle.

Bought a few jars recently which non of these i can not smell no fragrance, i remember these years ago were better and the fragrance was alot stronger, they have clearly been at work tweaking the ingredients, why can't they just keep the product the same but put the price up, i can assure you i will not be buying from this company again, i recommend anyone who wants to buy one to think again. Dont bother.

Cheap crap waste of money. First time I bought one very expensive and my god they are bad really bad so much wasted wax round the side of the jar it just burned The centre and left about 2cm thick wax round the side of the jar and you can't smell it it's so week I wouldn't waste your money Yankee candle are over charging you for complete crap far better candle far cheaper candles that actually smell of something on the market do not waste your money on this over price cheep Yankee candle crap I would give it 0 star if I could

Der Adventskalender 2025 ist so schlecht angepaßt, daß man die Kerzen nur halb hinter dem Türchen sieht. D.h. man muß den Kalender mehr zerstören um an eine Kerze heranzukommen. Bei einem Preis von über 50 € hätte ich mehr Passform erwartet, Yankeecandle war mein letzter Versuch.

Yankee Candle was simply the best smelling candle on the market and the reason why I paid the premium price. Just got my favourite one for my birthday and I may as well be burning a plain tea light as no smell whatsoever. Bought their advent calendar and it too has absolutely no smell. I hear the death toll for Yankee Candle as they have changed their formula and it’s now absolutely rubbish. Won’t be buying these again. So sad as they use to be the best on the market!

First time buying a yankee candle, really disappointed. Flame constantly flickering, also the amount of black smoke coming from it , has got to be unhealthy .

My husband bought me a Yankee advent calendar I’ve only opened two so far I’ve had to break it open to find the candles don’t recommend anyone buy these advent calendar’s

I buy the Apple Christmas Wreath Yankee Candle every year for Christmas, and this year it doesn’t smell at all! This feels very short-sighted and clearly like a move to chase margin over quality. I’m really disappointed, and I’ll be looking for an alternative Christmas candle next year.

Three defuser’s I have had as presents only one was good.I opened the third one three days ago and no smell whatsoever.the second one was the same.I will not be using Yankee product again.I have had good candles in the past but they don’t burn all the wax.overall not worth the money.

Been a Yankee candle fan for many years but after placing an order and not receiving a confirmation email I panicked and looked on trustpilot and saw many negative reviews.So I emailed CS and I had a reply within an hour and turns out I had entered the wrong email address. Sara in CS forwarded my confirmation email immediately. Then 3 days after placing my order my 4x personalised candles arrived. I couldn’t believe it. Perfect condition and amazing smells. Absolutely thrilled and will remain a huge Yankee candle fan. ❤️

Not the cheapest of candles to buy
But you at least expect them to burn away most of the wax not leave half of it in the jar with no wick left
Really let down by this company ive used for a few years and the candles are getting worse.... Time to look at other companies.
