Unfortunately I made the grave mistake of booking through Hotels.com with the free cancellation. I booked 2 rooms with one booking confirmation (one booking number, one payment total etc). I called... Zobacz więcej

Not the worst experience in a hotel, but it’s up there. Literally a bare room with a low bed in an alcove shower toilet and washbasin. No storage space, no to, no hanging space and no coat hangers... Zobacz więcej
Amazing 🤩 7 of us went to London for one night to see magic Mike live, we stayed at the zedwell hotel, not the pods! Stunning, clean, spacious enough for 7 women and their luggage, bathroom clean... Zobacz więcej

Dishonest be warned .
Stayed in June after booking through booking.com . Hotel was a bit strange as rooms all underground with no windows and no tv or storage for clothes . Decent bed and shower. Big issue is as well as paying through booking.com I’ve also been charged direct . They admitted error promised refund but after many calls and emails still not refunded after a month and still saying it’s “on a list to be refunded” . Now passed to visa to investigate as fraudulent transaction . I’m one of many apparently so can only assume it’s a scam . Very dishonest company .
A nightmare
If you decide to stay at the Zedwell hotel you will enjoy an out of the ordinary experience: what it is like to stay in a Bunker. Already when you enter you will see that there is no window. Then you will make your way to your room through a ventless labyrinth similar to the horror trail you liked so much at Luna Park. Finally, you will find your room among countless others (the hotel is huge) and you will enter your (extremely) little private Bunker. There are no windows or outside vents in the room either. You will immediately realize that in case of fire or earthquake or other accident you will end up like a rat. If you thought you didn't suffer from claustrophobia, think again.
Here is the list of surprises:
No windows
No chairs
No table
No wardrobe
No bedside table
No television
No towels (one only for two)
No hairdryer
No glass
The bed is a mattress placed on the floor: a nice test when you try to get up!
Pay £10 if you want to leave your suitcase because the room isn't ready yet or because you have to leave the room.
If you think that, since there are no windows, at least there will be no noise, you are wrong. The noise comes from the corridor, which is terribly dirty.
You may wonder how much it can cost to stay in a Bunker. And here is the final surprise: as much as a hotel room with windows, chairs, table, wardrobe, bedside table, television, towels, hair dryer, glasses, a real bed, free luggage storage, guaranteed cleaning. To you the choice!
In Italy such a nightmare would never have obtained the practicability.
Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in
Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, if you like the cube you will be fine, no air, no light, no window, worst experience of my life.

Awful customer service
Awful customer service, having missed my train home I booked via Booking.com when I arrived I was informed I had booked for the wrong night in error. Friday not Thursday. I was told by reception they could give me names of other hotels that accept walk it's. No discussion on moving my booking or any other help. I cancelled the booking on the Booking.com app and now I find I have been fully charged for a room I didn't use and was booked for approximately an hour! £159 down the drain! Yes I made an error but all I've been quoted is terms and conditions! Very disappointing and not a way I would ever trat a customer of mine.
Nice and "nordic" in its interior
Nice and "nordic" in its interior. Perfect location....But every time we needed a so called service it costed us money. 10 pund for each bag if they had to store it before our check in...even for only one hour. 4 bags = 40 pund. Or early check in = 30 pund. Needed a hairdryer = 5 pund every hour. And this was NOT a deposit.
Our family room floor was really cold even though the heating was on constantly.
And the extra beds (couches) was so squeaking that we all woke up every time there was a movement. And they are only suitable for a small child. The mattress was lousy.
And the vending machine with water etc. was out of order.
All in all the (zed)well being didn't quite occurred :-(
Amazing location, very clean room
Stayed for 2 nights as the hotel. Room was very clean and cosy, very minimal which we didn’t mind as we were only really using it to sleep. Staff were friendly and the checking in process was very easy. Downstairs cafe was also very good and the location is amazing. Only thing I would say is the shower was not very powerful and there weren’t many places to hang clothes.
When minimalism becomes stupidity
So I stayed three nights at Zedwell Piccadilly... Thursday to Sunday.
Positives: The location and that the room was quiet and reasonably cool in the middle of a heat wave.
Negatives: Oh boy, where do I start... When I arrived, I had just one hand towel in my room. I asked for a bath towel, and got - another hand towel. When I wondered if they didn't have any bigger towel, the response was "do you need another [hand] towel?". Sigh. The next day, after my room was cleaned, I suddenly had two bath towels. The next day (Friday) my room wasn't cleaned at all, even though they claim that the rooms are cleaned every day. This led to me running out of toilet paper when I needed to go to the bathroom. Unacceptable.
The room was very minimalistic, in a bad way - nothing at all there, actually, except mattresses on the floor(!). Not only is this bad ergonomics, both for the staff and the guests, but it also gives you nowhere to sit down comfortably (unless you want to sit on the toilet...). No wardrobe, not even a hanger. Not even a "Do not disturb" sign. The drain in the shower worked poorly, or maybe the floor itself (the tilt) was poorly designed, resulting in the bathroom being flooded as soon as I started to shower. (Of course there was no water scraper.) There wasn't even a toilet brush. When I arrived there was hair both on the floor and in the basin.
Others have commented on the fire safety (or lack thereof) - I wondered about it, too. The place is truly a labyrinth, with poor markings for the fire exits. And not a single marker near the floor, which, in case of a fire, is really helpful if there is a lot of smoke. Others have commented on the fire exits, but I never tried them, so I don't know if they worked. Just happy to get out of there. Won't return, won't recommend.
This was my worst hotel stay ever.
My room was filthy, cigarette burn holes in the bedding, the smoke alarm is covered by a plastic bag, candy on the bathroom floor, hairs all over the bathroom, dirt and filth splashed up the walls in the bathroom, missing a headboard, completely clogged sink. It was disgusting.
After one day my room key quit working. 2nd day got locked out of our bathroom. It took 4 trips to the office and 3.5 hours for them to come unlock it. Can’t forget.. There were prostitutes soliciting in the lobby at check in . Also got overcharged by $30 and they refused to give me a receipt. I would love to have a refund. This was my worst hotel stay ever.
I stayed three nights at Zedwell…
I stayed three nights at Zedwell Picadilly.
The location is great, but the hotel is a fire hazard.
We were woken around 02.45 in the night by the firealarm. We read the instructions, that Said we should leave the room via the stairs if the alarm sounds. So we go to the stairs and use our key card, but the Doors do not open. By this time people are leaving their rooms to find out what is going on. There is no information. No speakers. No windows. And no available fire escape/stairs. So we move to the elevators, where people are gathering. Out from the elevator comes people that have been to the lobby, and have been told that it is a false alarm. Så we go back to bed. For one minute. Because then the alarm goes off again. So once again we leave the room, and this time another guest bursts open the door to the fire escape. While we are moving Down the stairs, the alarm sounds yet again. The fire escape is not equipped with adequate sign, so we did not know where to go, and ended up in the Security room, but the guard was not there. He came and told us it was a false alarm, and to go back to our rooms. So we troede again to find the exit, and finally suceeded. We went around the hotel to the lobby where hundreds of people were now standing, like us, not understanding what was going on. Still nothing on the speakers, Omans bo explanation as to why the alarm goes off in the middel of the night. But we went back to bed, tures and anxious, because this hotel does not feel safe in a situation like this.
On top of that, there is no chair, no table, no fridge, no shelfes, no closet. Absolutely nothing except a mattress and a duvet with sheets that are WAY to big, like a double for a single duvet. I would not go back.
Dodgey room lights, noisy, excellent location, needs upgrades to finish asap.
I have given the hotel Zedwell Picadilly 3 stars because the Location was the best, it's so central, near the west end and picadilly circus tube station. I stayed there 4 four nights because I was seeing the Harry Potter and the cursed child play at the Palace theatre plus lots of other trips out which I arranged myself, the hotel was ok but they were still building it! They were installing new lifts, the roof top bar wasn't ready and the lights were flickering. I don't know what happened to the gym as well, I'm sure that was mentioned in the marketing. The bed was comfy, apart from that I slept well but I could sleep near a nuclear bomb going off. It was a little noisy at night even with sound proofing but the sound was gone by morning.
Do not support this hotel
Do not support this hotel, they steal and you will not get your resevation!!
They are friendly at first but then the contact disappears, and your prepaid resevation disappears!!
Great location
Great location, easy check in process. The tube station is literally outside the hotel. Perfect place for your London trip, prices were good. We didn't try any food and chose to eat out. Hard Rock cafe is worth avist for dinner 😀
Excellent value for money
Excellent value for money for a great location. Would just say an extra pillow would be good and sort the bathroom light flickering sometimes.
It was good but could improve
It was good. However the lights kept flickering and sometimes didn't work. Also we asked for an extra pillow because they only provided us with 1 each and they said no...
It's inside picadilly so everything is super close and just a few minutes walk away. Also it's really quiet :)
I am disappointed with this hotel
I am disappointed with this hotel, I made a reservation in 2019 before the pandemic, after rescheduling my stay twice due to travel restrictions imposed by the English government, and without success in my intention to travel, when I tried to get a refund with the hotel. , simply demonstrating a lack of empathy and justice with the customer, refuse to reimburse a service not provided, even with all the flexibility of the tariff rules that the entire world has adopted due to the exceptional nature that the pandemic imposes, and that the UK government indicates in its site with the cma rules to-investigate-concerns-about-cancellation-policies-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-pandemic/the-coronavirus-covid-19-pandemic-consumer-contracts-cancellation-and-refunds
In time, this trip was my daughter's 15th birthday present, money saved in years for a joy that is turning into a nightmare, very disappointed!
