The equipment tends to be okay but be warned, they do not like honoring the warranties. Today I needed a simple ankle strap replacing from a gym that cost £700 and they have refused to honor the warranty even though the product is registered and they have been provided with photographs of the serial number. My advice is you can use them to buy cheap stuff but don't risk buying anything expensive because they are an absolute nightmare when it comes to replacing parts, even if the product is under warranty. I know other people who have had similar problems but on a much bigger scale. Best to shop elsewhere

Recently ordered the 20kg Chrome Dumbells and sadly upon delivery the box was badly damaged and had no collars to stop the weights from falling off. Contacted York fitness via email and Matej replied very quickly from customer service and sent the missing collars out and within 2 days I got them.So far very pleased with the weights.

They just won’t reply to inquiries. No reply to several emails or attempts to use online form, I’ve tried multiple times, have gave up on York, absolute idiots, Phone number is just an answer message telling you to email etc. But they reply to reviews on here to make it look like they do respond. Awful customer service. Non existent, waste of time and effort.

Ordered 20kg dumbells, promptly delivered but to wrong address! However, contacted York who were straight on it and sorted a replacement v quickly with no fuss - impressive service. Kit has now safely arrived and first impressions are very good and excellent value for money too.

I ordered a set of York dumbbells and had serious issues with the delivery. Out of 3 parcels, only 2 arrived. Within 48 hours, I followed the instructions on York’s own website and reported the shortage no reply. I messaged again still no reply.

The order was booked under one tracking number but split into multiple parcels. The courier system marked it as “delivered” once 2 parcels arrived, which meant the missing box was ignored. This was clearly a mistake in how York processed the shipment, and instead of helping to resolve it, they’ve ignored my messages completely.

How hard is it to send out 3 boxes correctly and respond to a customer query? Poor service and no communication.

I placed an order for a weight bench and curl attachment on the 11th of August.
Both items were dispatched and I was notified they were out for delivery on the 14th.
Only the curl attachment arrived.
I contacted York fitness who assured me the outstanding parcel would be delivered the next day.
This did not happen.
I contacted York Fitness again on the 18th and they offered a replacement sent via DHL express.
I thought this would resolve the problem.
Unfortunately they sent the replacement via DHL E-commerce who once again have failed to deliver.
I have now contacted York Fitness again and are awaiting their reply.

Update
Two weeks now and despite repeated assurances from York Fitness still no delivery.

I bought from York because I know it's a popular and reputable brand, unfortunately the delivery company DHL has delivered my work out bench part delivered twice and after a week I'm still waiting on the barbell with no contact from DHL. Luckily, York's customer service has been great and kept me updated and is now sending out a replacement barbell.

I had previously ordered from York fitness and the products were amazing. This time York fitness went above and beyond! My previous order was for cast iron kettlebells. I underwent shoulder surgery and that meant I couldn’t use my heavy ones any more. I ordered some lighter ones and emailed customer service if they would swap one for a cast iron one which was on clearance. Matej went above and beyond and was able to do this for me! Wouldn’t shop anywhere else for sports equipment.

I needed a replacement bolt for quite an old model multi gym that we've had for years. I sent an email with the part number asking if they might still stock them, and by the next morning I had received a shiny new bolt free of charge. What amazing customer service and product support!

Great products. Had a small issue and Matej sorted it very quickly. The dumbbells are great.

Amazing an efficient service!

Ordered some kettlebells, and unfortunately 1 was damaged in transit. I sent some photos to the sales team and within minutes they emailed back confirming they were sending a replacement in express delivery. Whilst the damage is frustrating, the service to rectify the issue was second to none. Thank you Matej.

I cannot fault this company, fantastic summer sale prices and the customer services is 10 stars! Great products if you are looking for high quality home equipment. Highly recommend and I would definitely purchase from them again.

Reported an issue with the build quality of my dumbbells set via the online form on their website, received 1 reply from Matej that did not address my issue at all and stated because I did not order from them directly they would be unable to help me? Despite the documents enclosed with my set directing me to reach out to them DIRECTLY. I followed up clarifying my issue and was ignored completely, I guess you really did know you cheap out on the spin locks (plastic Vs Iron) and decided ignoring me would be better. Well I guess I won't be buying my extra iron plates from you guys since you don't even know the procedures you outline in your included documentation 👎

Update: After leaving this review, I was contacted by York Fitness' PR team who flagged the issue internally. Following that, I finally received a response and was sent a set of metal spinlocks, which properly addressed the issue I'd originally raised, along with some additional bar clamps as a goodwill gesture.

While I do appreciate the resolution and the items received, it's worth noting this only happened after my Trustpilot review drew attention to the problem. Prior to that, my initial support ticket was brushed off, and my follow-up message went completely ignored for 9 days. It shouldn't take public pressure to get a basic customer service issue acknowledged, especially when the enclosed documentation directed me to contact them in the first place.

I've updated my rating to reflect that they did eventually make things right, but the experience left me questioning how many customers are simply left hanging without ever getting a response.

Matej was brilliant when I emailed a query about my exercise bike. Replied almost immediately and solved the problem. Thank you.
