I purchased a Fermob Montmartre table. The table itself is absolutely beautiful and I’m delighted with the quality, which is the only reason this review isn’t about the product.
My experience with customer service was extremely disappointing. The delivery driver would not allow me time to carry out even a basic inspection before leaving. As someone with severe osteoporosis and multiple spinal fractures, I was unable to unpack and inspect the table on my own, which made the situation even more difficult.
When I contacted customer services, instead of simply dealing with my complaint, they searched for information about me online using my email address, referred to my business in their response, and then encouraged me to open a trade account. I found this completely inappropriate and irrelevant to the issue I had raised. I had contacted them as a customer seeking help, not to discuss opening an account.
I raised my concerns about how my complaint had been handled but did not receive the acknowledgement or apology I expected. It’s a great shame because Fermob make outstanding furniture, but the standard of customer service fell well below what I would expect when spending several hundred pounds on a premium product.
