Wickes - Widnes Recenzje 

We bought a new kitchen from wickes last October 2024 and we spent a lot of money totalling nearly £18,000.

The design team at Widnes were excellent and they planned everything for us perfectly. The kitchen was paid for and the order was processed with the installation beginning in October.

The wickes installation team arrived and began the install which was supposed to last a week. During the install we questioned some of the installation costs like plugging a fridge into an electrical socket and the connecting of the cooker to the electric points.

We raised this with the installation team and this ended up with lots of emails to and from which unfortunately generated a bad atmosphere and inevitably a bad experience with wickes.

In November the waste disposal that was fitted by wickes came off the bracket that connected to the sink. The dishwasher drain pipe had been connected to the waste disposal unit and while we were out the water poured all over the kitchen causing damage to the units underneath the sink.

We raised this with wickes helpline but we asked if another fitter could come and fix the problems as we had lost faith in the original fitter due to the excessive installation costs we were subjected to by wickes.

To cut a long story short we have sent constant emails to the wickes helpline, sent emails to the installation team and even went back to the store and got the design team involved and to this day we still do not have the issue resolved.

We both work full time and barely have the time to chase this problem up and unfortunately we are now at a point where nearly 8 months later we have a waste disposal unit that doesn’t work and damage to our cupboards as well as lights not working in the oven that this situation cannot continue.

If we could remove the kitchen and go with another supplier we would do but unfortunately we are stuck with wickes and probably the worst customer service I have experienced.

Had a problem with s bathroom tap showed her some pictures of the problem she explained what it could be we still bought a tap and come home tried what hayley said and it worked so we did not need the tap

The initial meeting with Lyndsey Matthews was great she helped us to chose the kitchen units works surfaces etc. We met John when he came to access the job, he told what it entailed and gave us an estimate time it would take to do. John and his team were great, they fitted the kitchen with minimum mess and the finish was excellent. The overall experience from start to finish was great. The only negative was the fridge freezer the first one was damaged as was the replacement, the third one they sent was ok.

So to carry on with my last review.
I was waiting on 2 50/50 fridge freezer panels, damaged by my replacement fitter (from the action team)
They eventually came a couple of weeks ago. But nobody has come out to fit them.
I am sick to death of emailing customer relations and nobody replies or phoning and nobody answers.
How can you run a business this way?
Anyway. I have ended up fitting them myself. Not really what should be happening when you are paying out over £3500 for someone else to do it!!
Wickes are really good at taking the money off you and promising a good service but that's where it ends!
I will probably get some generated apology that doesn't actually mean anything but I will never buy anything from them again.
That's a shame because they have some nice bathrooms that I like.
They have lost a future customer for sure!!

So pleased with my new kitchen. We called into Wickes and had an appointment with Lyndsey Matthews, so helpful, professional and really listened to what we wanted and produced an amazing design that suited our needs. Delivery team were great and the installer John went above and beyond, what a credit to Wickes! Would definitely recommend

We got there on the end thanks to our fitter gary (gh joinery ) the designer missed off critical items and we had to source our own to get the job finished , thankyou gary he is a credit to wickes

So after my email and phone call and trustpilot review and replying and giving all the information about my issue. Still absolutely nothing has been done not even a reply to say they have received my information and will look into it
Customer service is absolutely non existent
I am left with an unfinished kitchen
The stress of the whole situation has taken it's toll now
All I want is for someone to get back to us and let us know what is going on
I have been let down
I need this issue resolved please

It was my first time visiting a Wickes store and I wasn't able to find the things I needed. Adam offered to help me as he walked past. He took me to what I needed and then helped me to my car. I will be coming back again.

Went in to wickes to buy 2.5l tin of dulux white non drip gloss, at £33 it was £8 more expensive then Home and Bargain over the road. That is a massive difference and they should hold their head in shame

Went into the store unsure of what I needed to put my laminate down. Spoke to Lindsey who couldn't have been more helpful. Will be going back to Wickes for my next bit of DIY

Went to our local store in Widnes Dave was really helpful planted a bathroom we were really happy with so placed the order then the problems started the recommended installer came to survey didn’t have a clue what we were having done had no design pictures with him just a tape measure not even any paper to write anything down. He then gave us a price for the additional works which would be required and tried to charge us twice for the same thing so went to the store to advise we didn’t want him to install and good enough they changed our installer who we couldn’t fault who were BMS . Advised we wanted delivery of items the week before the installation due to storage space this didn’t happen I was given delivery dates for when I was in work and when I phoned to change they said they couldn’t and if I did they couldn’t guarantee delivery in time for the installation even though it was over 2 weeks away. After several calls the date was changed to suit. We went away for the dates when the installation was to take place but some deliveries were still due but the installer was happy to take delivery. The wrong shower tray was delivered and the correct one couldn’t be delivered in line with the installation so we had to transfer money to the installer to source one,the wrong toilet seat was delivered so another one was provided which fell off on the day after the installation was completed installer come back to refit but the same happened a few days later. I then received a call from Kieran 7th May advising they wanted to sign the project off but I wasn’t happy to as we hadn’t had our refund for the shower tray but agreed so our installers would be paid. Then 2 weeks later came into the kitchen and as I walked on the floor water was coming through wooden floor the installer came straight back and the stop valve had been leaking which had eventually seeped under the floor. Went to store to see what way we needed to go as didn’t really want to go through our home insurance as this was linked to the installation which was through Wickes was advised they would look into how we proceed and would call us back was also was told the toilet seat was from a faulty batch and a new one was on order. 4 weeks passes and nothing called the store a week ago and was advised we would get a call back Tuesday after the bank holiday and still nothing absolutely shocking so damaged floor and faulty parts and no help from Wickes at all.

We visited Wickes over the Bank Holiday weekend to discuss a new bathroom.
David Francis talked us through everything, from products to installation.
He is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly and we would definitely recommend.

(I’m going to leave two reviews as I’m extremely happy with the design and installation, very unhappy with the delivery and waste collection).

I’ve just had a bathroom fitted. Ben (the designer) did a great job, I have a lovely looking, well-designed, reasonably priced bathroom. Pawel installed it and he was fantastic. Such attention to detail and a really high finish. I couldn’t be happier with his work.

But the delivery was awful. They delivered wrong items, items were missing, it was a mess

Even worse is the waste collection. My contractors booked the waste collection for Tuesday 20 and I worked from home especially. Nothing happened, Hippo (waste collectors) didn’t turn up. Wickes customer service told me Hippo would definitely collect on Wednesday. They didn’t. Wickes told me Hippo would collect on Thursday. It’s now 15:37, I’ve been home all day waiting and nothing… (I need to be home to provide access).

My bathroom installation can’t finish until the waste has been removed from my courtyard garden. Wickes keep promising it will be collected but then nothing… The system is a mess and the customer doesn’t matter.

From start to finish the process of designing, purchasing and installing a wickes kitchen has been without hesitation, excellent. Special thanks to Lyndsey Matthews who's dedication and commitment to getting things right has been stand out. She has made the process streamlined and when I have needed kitchen advice, a late addition to the design, and a few extra bits to help with getting the fit sorted this was all handled efficiently ensuring everything remained on track. The quality of the kitchen is excellent, the design is stunning, customer service is unparalleled. Thank you!!

Needed a walk in bath for my mum and after speaking to Dave Francis he was able to source the one I needed which made it less stressful for me

We've just had a new kitchen from Wickes fitted. We visited Wickes in January not looking to buy just for a looksee. We liked the design of the J pull handles. Had a talk with one of the staff - Ben Steelschambers who showed us the various kitchens available. Picked up the catalogues and went home. We compared with other suppliers and found Wickes to be our first choice with in our opinion the best quality.
After a while we decided to go ahead with a new kitchen. (Bearing in mind our old kitchen was 22 years old). Ben came to our home and designed a new kitchen for us. The finished design was what we wanted so he went back to the store to price the kitchen. A few days later we went into the store to see the design and get a price. Blimey, how much ££££££. We took advantage of interest free and bit the bullet and ordered our new kitchen. It wasn't cheap. But,the quality great. Now completed. The fitter - John Martleton was very good, just left on his own to do his thing. Gareth - the electrician and Neil the plasterer were also excellent. The build took a little longer than expected but well worth the wait. If you're having a kitchen replaced make sure everything is packed away. Now it's done we have to put everything back. Thanks everyone. Ben, John, Gareth and Neil. See you all again in 12 years.

I booked an in-store kitchen and bathroom design appointment via their website a week ahead of time, and received a very unprofessional call on the day of the appointment from David who couldn’t give me a straight answer on anything I asked and repeatedly told me he “might not make it back” in time for my appointment, but also didn’t tell me if he wanted to cancel or rearrange it. There was more to the conversation that I won’t repeat here, however I eventually said I wanted to cancel the appointment and he hung up on me without so much as a goodbye!

Sent a detailed complaint to Wickes and was sent a very copy-and-paste reply which was disappointing.

Would not use Wickes Widnes again.

Lyndsey Mathews was my design consultant, who was extremely supportive & helpful, she showed interest and help me choose certain items. I found the overall cost excellent value for money.

Pawel & his son fitted my bathroom to an exceptional standard, they both worked long hours and worked hard. Pawel keen eye for detail is so impressive.

I have very high standards & my bathroom now completed has exceeded my expectation.

We reached out to Wickes at the end of last year to help support our small community centre, and we were generously gifted paint, rollers, brushes, tape, sheets, and other bits to help renovate the space ready for the new year. Lindsey was so helpful and all the staff who assisted us when we came to collect the donation went above and beyond to help. We are so grateful for the support we received from Wickes and could not have afforded to complete the necessary renovations without their help so we owe a big thankyou!
