Wickes - Peterborough Recenzje 

NEVER USE Wickes ever especially if your having a new kitchen or bathroom.
I ordered & paid in full (on my dream kitchen) on 5th February 2024 & my kitchen was completed in 9 months with 3 subcontractors.
The 1st subcontractor was dismissed by Wickes 5 days prior to installation (bearing in mind I had sold all my white goods) as apparently he had made a complete mess on 3 other kitchens.
l was given my 2nd subcontractor who came 6 weeks later, & after 13 days & him going missing for days on end (for personal reasons)he walked out leaving me with 5 live wall sockets hanging off the wall, Wickes knew about this as the field installation manager came to inspect and stated that it was the worst kitchen he had ever seen and he advised it needed a complete re-fit.
Also unbeknown to me our new fuse board that we had to have wasn't certified because I hadn't been given a certificate so my home insurance was void (& how could it be certified as complete when l had 5 sockets hanging off the wall anyway).
After another 7 weeks & a whole new kitchen being re-delivered the 3rd subcontractor came and refitted the kitchen but because my fuse board wasn't fitted properly I had to pay an extra £372 to another electrician to get the certificate.
I now have my dream kitchen and like I said before, it's taken nine months but Wickes have only compensated me £935 even though my kitchen cost me £17k & the worst thing is I'm disabled as I have Cerebral Palsy and Wickes did nothing between the 2nd and the 3rd subcontractor to try & make my home safe regarding Health & Safety Act 2005, as my husband had to make me a hot flask of water when he went to work so at least l could make a drink.
I feel absolutely deflated by the last 9 months & it's taken its toll on my mental & physical health.

Great service from Sally (Peterborough store) whilst trying to colour match some curtains. Really friendly and helpful despite it being near to closing time. Hope the screen survived Sally??

From start to finish my bathroom project was handled professionally and efficiently by Catherine. She liased with Lee the fitter who was also exceptional. There were no hiccups or problems, just a smooth process. I am delighted with the results and will be returning for a new kitchen in the new year.

Everyone on the shop at Peterborough was helpful. Colin saw I was confused, and he directly asked me what I'm looking for. He helped me find every item on the list and even helped me carry them I'm my car.
The shop was welcoming, clean and the people working there were professional and helpful.

Excellent service from our initial visit to the showroom in Peterborough to the finished product. Our contact Catherine at the Peterborough branch was friendly, helpful, gave us some good ideas and suggestions as well as being patient. Communication from Wickes was great. Email and video advice on how to prepare for the delivery was really helpful. The delivery drivers were professional, efficient and respectful. And finally the company that fitted the kitchen J T Kitchens were first class. Excellent teamwork and a fantastic finish. We are incredibly pleased with our kitchen.

Had a visit to the Peterborough store,
Spoke to male who i realized his name was steve,very knowledgeable and came and asked if i needed any help,positive attitude towards the company and helpful with great advice,Steve is a great asset to the store and answered all of my questions,I left feeling very valued and would recommend with wickes with staff like steve.

At last! We’ve waited many years to have our kitchen updated. We originally wanted to change the doors of our kitchen but changed our minds and decided to have the old kitchen ripped out and a new one installed. Excellent service from start to finish. Jason Blunt from the Peterborough branch carried out a home visit etc, then went away and designed a fantastic new kitchen. We then visited the branch to look at the design with him and he talked us through everything, setting up doors, worktops, handles etc for us to look at and changing them slightly if we asked. Jason Blunt was in regular contact all the way. Order went smoothly and arrived bang on time. Jason Blunt recommended an installer and passed our paperwork and order to Jason Tanner (J T Kitchens Ltd) as an approved Wickes fitter. Jason Tanner was also brilliant. He also kept us up to date every step of the way giving us times of arrival, letting us know when different workmen were due to arrive etc. Jason Tanner and the people that he works with have brilliant attention detail and their quality of workmanship was top notch. Nothing was too much trouble for him or them - he sorted out new flooring for us abd he went as far as to help us when my I / my husband / my dad had fallen, offering to take us to hospital, helping us to get in the car and then babysitting our dog 🐶. Jason Tanner made a job that was worrying us run smoothly. I / my husband / my dad am disabled and he supported us to get through the week taking into account the disability. He helped us get though by keeping us informed and regularly reminded us to get in touch with him if we had my questions. We would definitely recommend Jason Blunt and Jason Tanner (& Pete) to others. Thanks to both and to the extra workmen that helped too. Dave, Ann, Emma and Zac.

Just completed having a Sophia white kitchen fitted, cannot express how happy we are it looks like a showroom kitchen, from start to finish was seamless, huge delivery not 1 bit of damage and nothing missing, thanks to Andy for a perfect fitting service, a very special thank you to Catherine, design consultant from Peterborough branch, from start to finish such a lovely lady, gave us ideas we never dreamed of, her design and professionalism has made this kitchen stunning, hidden an ugly boiler behind seamless cupboard doors, thank you Wickes for our lovely kitchen, thank you Catherine for making my dreams come true.

Brilliant company.
We went to peterborough for some laminate flooring and other bits.
Sally and colin were very helpful, they pointed aisles out where to find items.

Had a problem with my purchase, went to an assistant for help, her name is Sally, this lady couldn’t have been more helpful, and next time, I shall go straight to her, thank you Sally

Wickes Aftercare is surely rubbish!
When we reported a leak after a bathroom was fitted, they were no help or use. They started making excuses and blaming us for things like needing to change the silicon after 12 months. This is absolute rubbish, as all plumbers have said , the silicon lasts 10-20 years. They wouldn'tt even send a plumber round to do an inspection.

I have been into the store 3 times this week and each time I have had great service. I haven't had to wait to be served when I haven't been at the front of the queue, because staff came over and made themselves available. Received great service again today from Stephen who was able to answer questions regarding some paint I needed. He recommended I had some mixed to get the colour I wanted. He was very patient whilst I decided and it was nice not to feel pressured to decide and to buy there and then.

Frankie in Peterborough Wickes helped me with my struggle to find a paint! She was very kind and helpful! My order was sorted easy! She is definitely credit to company! Great service

Stephen and Collin were amazing with sorting out an issue I had. They went above and beyond in order to rectify the problem. They were very helpful, polite and professional. A true asset to their company with excellent customer service skills.

The kitchen is superb and the best designer Catherine Wheatley! She was patient and very knowledgeable.
Wickes kitchens have amazing choices and I wanted the country look, olive colour which isn’t available everywhere but I now have a pantry, a large island as well as a double ceramic white sink with a waste disposal!
Bins are integrated! Wickes did not let me down at all when a couple of legs and other parts were missing, they were swiftly delivered. The whole design team helped out too! I just love my new modern bit cottagy look, cosy. Thank you wickes! We bought the paints and flooring from Wickes too.

Bathroom fitter Mark, can’t fault him.
Showroom planner at Peterborough, Jason can’t fault him. He designed a lovely bathroom for us.
Customer “experience” centre, utter shambles.
Arranged one fitter to come out to survey, he didn’t turn up. Contacted him, made another arrangement and didn’t turn up again.
Gave us a new fitter Mark, outstanding tradesman.
Delivered the entire Bathroom weeks before it was being fitted, without notice it just turned up very early in the morning meaning we had an entire bathroom in our living room for weeks. With the exception of the shower….that’s another story. The shower didn’t turn up at all, the day before the bathroom was finished, we had to source our own shower and pay extra for it to be delivered urgently. Weeks after the bathroom had been finished, we still weren’t refunded for the shower which still hadn’t turned up. The customer “experience” centre hadn’t even noticed that it was out of stock and not available. Too many floor tiles were ordered (they didn’t take into account the huge shower tray) and trying to get them to take them back was a fight in itself.
Now then, we are STILL waiting for the customer shambles centre to call us back to discuss this. Promises of being called back aren’t fulfilled. Alistair was our allocated rep supposed to be looking after us, almost impossible to get hold of and failed to take any responsibility or grip the issues we had.
In short, bathroom good. Fitter good. Organisation, customer care and experience an utter shambles.
