Recently had 2 doors fitted. The service right from the beginning with Kyle York from the Dundee branch to the actual fitting of the doors has been brilliant, the workmen who fitted the doors were quick and tidy and made sure that i was happy with workings of the doors before they left.

We got new windows and door fitted downstairs and from start to finish the experience with Weatherseal has been excellent. From our initial meeting to discuss our home improvements, follow up phone calls to arrange a suitable date for the installation to the actual day of the windows being fitted, was flawless. The workmen were friendly, professional and took great care around our home. After the windows and door was fitted the installer took us both around each window to e sure we were 100% happy with the work and explain the mechanics in a language we understood. The rooms that were worked in were left clean and tidy as well as the outside of our house.
We will definitely use Weatherseal again to complete the installation of our windows upstairs.

Service was fantastic however afterwards they continued to pester with phone calls about fitting my remaining windows despite us telling them we couldn’t afford it at the minute

Salesman stayed for four hours and was pushy. Surveyor and fitting team were very prompt and efficient. Very tidy job.A couple of minor faults of scratched glass and handle to be rectified. Awaiting follow up trade to make good damaged to ingoes.I was notified by my bank that the deposit, which I paid by card, was taken twice.Fitter,Kevin Hudson, left a very professional and tidy job.

Firstly I’d like to say like many reviewers that the pressure to buy from the sales people that come to your home is shocking, you feel very pressured on the night ( about three hours ) when the fitters came out they were very professional and efficient and fitted the whole house in two and half days.
I got Eight windows and a very expensive front door last October, I’m really disappointed with some of the double glazing window units. I paid over 12000 pound and i feel that they are no better than my wooden double glazed that had been in the house previously for 9 years. There is also more noise and drafts now than ever before, in particular to my large front bay window( which I have complained about twice already) they did send out someone in December 2018 who said it was the seal needing to be filled outside the window !! Mmmm !! For twelve thousand I think it’s more than some sealer. Ive emailed directly with my contract number and guess what? No response! Very poor show from a company that claims to sell A++ and efficient windows.
I’d think very carefully before parting with your hard earned cash and look around. I feel very let down by weather seal.

They only care about your money.

I contacted Weatherseal via an advert I had seen on subsidised windows to help improve energy consumption. I had recently moved house and my new 7 week old baby’s nursery window was a bit draughty and needing replaced. So I thought I will contact these guys to get a quote and replace a couple of windows before the winter.

A young man came to the house and we talked through options and he put together a quotation and discussed discounts with his manager. They use the standard sales techniques of time limited offers (you need to do this by x date) and try to establish a bond with you via disingenuous over complimenting and are a little pushy. I have dealt with sales people my whole career so it wasn’t an issue to control the discussion.

I agreed to do the front 2 windows for 5k and they would hold the quote for the rest of the house (which was 16k) for 3 years.

They came to do the windows at the start of December, on the 7th. The guys were in and done in a day which was fine. The only issues were the mitre joins in the bay window in the nursery were poorly cut and hadn’t been sealed and they had burst the plaster on the walls and said they would come back to fix it.

A couple of days later I get a call saying that I had £500 discount vouchers and would need to activate them to do some more work soon or I would loose them. I told the caller that I had already told the sales rep that I wouldn’t be purchasing any more windows until next year and reminded them of the corrections required from this installation.

Since then I have had 6 calls trying to get me to activate these vouchers and buy more windows now and zero calls regarding my unresolved installation issues.

The most recent call this week I told the caller directly, do not call me again regarding any more business, I will not be purchasing anything more from your company and the next call i get better be about fixing the items I have already purchased.

Steer clear of these dodgy salespeople, couldn’t care less about your satisfaction or dealing with your issues. They are only chasing more sales.

They aren’t that cheap either go to a more professional company such as Everest.

The standard of the installation was excellent.
The guys installing the Bifold doors were very good and I would give them 5 stars.
I would give the quality of the product 4 stars. Good but with some reservations.
The service we received post sale was very poor. I transpired that we had been given totally unrealistic timescales and poor verbal information. Getting factual information and written details was very difficult. When we challenged the company on this they referred us to the small print which told a whole different story to the verbal one given by the sales team. Communications post sale was poor.
I would not use Weatherseal again which is a shame since I liked the final product.
UPDATE:
I notice that it states above that I did not respond to the request for more information from Weatherseal. This is not true; I did respond but have not heard anymore from Weatherseal!

Got new doors put in. Fitter kept us updated on the fitting ect. Worker was pleasant

In March 2017 I had the misfortune to accept a quote from Weatherseal Home Improvements for the provision of 2 bay windows and a front door. I doubt there would be enough characters in this review to go into every detail that went wrong but suffice to say in the recent bad weather it has come to light that the door leaks - badly. Also the draught from it is atrocious. There is also a draught from the lounge window.
But guess what? These people stopped trading on August 2017 some 3 months after I paid for the work. They said they would send someone to look at these issues for a fee. I would be better off going down to the local primary school and asking some P2's to fix it for me.
Please, please do not ask any of the companies under this group to quote for work. I can't begin to tell you how bad they are.

Someone from this organisation made contact asking for a contract number. I provided this as requested then a message on my answer machine asked me to call Customer (Dis)service. Why? So that they could tell me again that they would send someone to look at all the faults on payment of a call out fee and other associated costs.

I thought I had made it perfectly clear that there is no way on God's earth I would be paying any more money to this bunch of cowboys.

Good money after bad springs to mind.

AVOID AT YOUR PERIL

I have not received a 'private message' about any aspect of my contract. A contract, I would add, that is not worth the paper it was written on.

I am well aware that you have abrogated all responsibility for shoddy work carried out by Job Worth Doing on behalf of Weatherseal Home Improvements.

We feel we had been pushed into signing a contract. The service was unprofessional and was asked for the balance to be paid for before the windows had been fully installed. We can hear more outside noise now than when we had single glazed windows. We have contacted the company but they will not listen.
I have emailed 2 complaints into the company and have not heard anything back from them.
Do not deal with them. We are feeling very let down.

We had an extremely excellent service by both Mark Johnstone and the manager Mark Nicholson from Weatherseal. The same evening our windows were fitted we noticed an increase in temperature straight away. We would highly recommend anyone thinking of buying windows or doors to contact weatherseal in the first instance as they are the best company we have dealt with.

Mr a Mrs Zajac are delighted with there windows and door. The installation team done a great job, and cleaned up after themselves. We were very happy with Start to finish With Graeme Brown, the rep who explained everything to us to the people who fitted our Windows and door.
I would recommend Weatherseal Dundee to anyone.

Can't fault the project managers, builder , joiners and electricians who have installed my conservatory. It looks great and just as required / expected.

My parents got their windows fitted today by Donald and Craig. My father is blind and mother doesn't keep well. Once they had finished putting the windows in the re-fitted the curtain rail and blinds. They left the house very tidy. There was no mess left behind. Very polite...

Agreed price within budget for windows and doors with friendly salesman. Surveyor deviated from plans causing price to rise but this was dealt with swiftly by the company to my satisfaction. Fitters Craig and Stuart very courteous and nothing was too much trouble for them. Highly recommend .

Terrible company. 5 months to replace a small porch. 4 panels were delivered damaged. 2 appointments they never turned up. Twice came again with the wrong panels and in the last 4 months I have asked to speak to a manager 6 times and still never had as much as a call. Even told me that I had stopped the cheque I gave them despite me telling them I hadn’t. Had to go intto the bank to get proof I had paid them. Turns out it was their fault after all ! Avoid this company at all costs. Only interested in your money. No customer service st all
