Weatherseal Home Improvements 

So I needed some new doors and a window so Weatherseal got the job. First of all the salesman tried to get me to sign up to a credit agreement for 9 years making the total cost more than double. That got changed. So then two nice fitters came out from Job Worth Doing and fitted said doors and window. Excellent job and really nice guys. Paid the balance then got asked to give them a review on Trustpilot and I would get a £10 Amazon voucher. Review written and read by Weatherseal (Got an email confirmation). Still waiting on my voucher !! So a couple of weeks after the new doors and windows gets a call from Weatherseal asking if they can take some photos of said doors and window with me holding up a placard and I would get £250. Yeah you've guessed it, still waiting on that as well. My advice - stay well clear as although the product is good the after sales is crap.

The 2 fitters who worked for A Job Worth Doing. Were very professional in the job they did. Very pleasant and chatty and got on with the job in hand so well done Thomas and Alex.

The fitting and product was very good, but customer service and after sales is mediocre. New window was scratched and was getting a replacement. 2 weeks and finally in. Quick and easy swapover.
Overall quality and workmanship is excellent

Quality windows and doors. Excellent advice and sales and professional approach from day one. Weatherseal sub out the fitting and their sales back up and fitting service is professional, quick and a joy to watch.
Ok so you pay a little bit more than the cheap stuff but it’s worth it for quality pvc section and gear.
First class bunch from first meeting to the end. Hope the fitters enjoyed the cookies?
Go for it we did and I’m sure the performance will be great this winter. Also flexible payment plans are very helpful as we refurbish the whole house.

A whole series of poor communication and lack of information

Would not touch weather seal windows with a barge pole. Once they get your money your forgotten about. We have a scratched pane of glass, supposedly faulty ones arrived, ones not the same size and we're still waiting for the new pane 5months down the line. Fed up with empty promises and lies. Shocking way to run a business.

From signing up to installation, Weatherseal were nothing but professional. Very good communication and fitters arrived when scheduled. Job was completed in double-quick time and all mess was cleaned up and taken away. Well Done!

The guys were were great and professional

The team were mannerly and professional with the window installation and left an excellent job behind.
We are extremely pleased with the windows, and they just look great.
My previous profession was Clerk of Works with Perth/Kinross council and I checked all the work as it progressed...no complaints.
I have to say we looked after them as well...they really enjoyed the bacon rolls.

excellent service from the salesman to the install team, two things stopped it being 5 star 1/the ridiculous opening price. 2/number of calls following install for follow up business bordered on stalking.

Had a "free quote" organised a week ago, sales/design rep, Mark, arrived late. From there, we spent half an hour or so going round windows and discussing thoughts for each window (4 total). At the end I said I was happy to get a price for 4 windows but I'd like to go through what we had discussed with my girlfriend and dad to make sure they were happy with designs and price (experience from dad and girlfriend will be living with me so wanted to include her) at this point the guy says I can't discuss finances with you unless all the decision makers are here. I explained I am the homeowner, I am the one paying for it etc and he still wouldn't give me a price, never even measured the windows. He leaves, I'm confused, his manager (Alistair) then phones to ask what the problem and when I explain i thought this was a free no obligation quote he says "yes but we're a home imporovement company just not some guy who can give you a price for 4 windows". I just wanted a price for 4 windows, as i was getting quotes from a few different companies.

From there I received phone call from factory manager who wanted to look into it. He took an interest and was apologetic. I was then phoned back on Friday with promises of factory prices and apologies for everything that had happened, he arranged to come round himself at 6pm and at 6:45pm there was no sign of him and no contact made to say he wasn't coming. Had no contact from anyone since.

Shocking customer service. Avoid.

Windows look great. The installation guys came in and went straight to work. Amazed at how quickly they had the old windows out and the new ones in. Couple of snagging issues with the upstairs dormer windows but the installers were back within a couple of days to fix the problem. The look of our home has been totally transformed.

The quality of the windows and fitting were great, however there were a couple of scuff marks to doors that had to be fixed after installation

What would stop me using weather seal again is the constant sales calls, the first one was little over an hour after the installation and has been constant since then, offering us deals and trying to arrange a time for someone to come out a measure windows that we have not had done yet, even after telling those on the phone that we are not interested in more windows for at least another 4 years they have continued to call and are a real pain. For this reason we will not be purchasing more windows from this company
