I loved the app. It had everything in it that you needed to know.The food was very good. Our waiter, Rahmat, was terrific and also our cabin steward, Joh, did a wonderful job. The cruise was very organized.

Overall experience was very enjoyable. Staff and crew were helpful and courteous. A special shoutout to Cyd,our cabin steward, in 406!
The excursions were informative,but sometimes a bit jammed for time. And you contracted well informed local guides.
Entertainment was also a big plus.
What fell short was the dinner, usually over or under seasoned. Breakfast and lunch in the Grille was very well presented and varied

We were on Victory 1 from Toronto to Chicago, the end of August. We are seasoned travelers used to coping with unexpected environments and often do have to adapt. No need for that on this cruise.
The entire trip was wonderful, it exceeded our expectations. We especially enjoyed the house band with Sean, Nicole, Jeremy and Neal. Jack kept us well fed in the dining room. Room attendant (Fathima?spelling), worked quietly while we were out of the room. Bar tenders Ray and Theresa always smiling and helpful. The Lakelorain kept us educated on the Lakes. The ship was beautiful, well kept and maintained. Food and drink was plentiful and very good. We had a cabin on the 100 level and were pleased with it.
There was one concern, that was the carpet on the stairs, the stripe pattern made it difficult to determine the last step. It required careful attention to avoid missing a step and a fall.
Overall it will be at the top of our list of most memorable and enjoyable trips.

The ship was always clean and well taken care of. Excellent staffing in all positions. The cuisine was wonderful and I enjoyed every meal, done so beautifully.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Victory Cruise. The service was excellent both in our cabin and elsewhere. We especially appreciated the service we received in the dining room. We were usually served by Maximillian. (Max) He treated us extremely well. The food was wonderful as well. We appreciated the smaller portions. We were impressed by the young woman who is the Bursar. She was always so friendly and helpful. For the most part, we enjoyed the included excursions. Some were better than others, which is understanding. Our stop in Chicago was delightful. If a tour came up that appealed to us, we would definitely do another tour with Victory II.

September 5th-15th, sailing the Great Lakes, myself along with 3 dear friends to celebrate our retirements. None of us had ever sailed on a small ship, but all of us had been on the big ship cruises before, and were not certain what to expect with the absence of the larger ship amenities, pool, casino, big theatre productions, etc.
Lets start by saying, we were pleasantly surprised! The cabins were small, but very comfortable, nice beds, deluxe bedding, bathrooms had everything we needed and were completely functional.
The compass room & lounge were very comfortable to spend time in, we also made our way up to the top deck to take in views, and relax on the lounge chairs.
The coastal dining room is where we ate most of our meals, and the food was next level, absolutely did not disappoint!
Creative menu options, beautiful presentations, bold flavors, absolutely delicious!
I think it’s worth notting, all four of us worked our entire careers in the food & beverage industry in a variety of platforms, both service level employees to running operations/management, plus I’m married to an executive chef, so we are well versed in recognizing the good, the bad and the “ugly/something bad has happened😱” our dining experiences were outstanding! We also ate in the grill a few times, it was also good and a great alternative, but we really enjoyed the full service dining experience.
Now on to what really made the cruise special, it was the staff!
From Sabrina, our excursion coordinator who kept us updated and informed daily on what was coming up next, details with time & transportations, seeing us off each day and welcoming us back, she was awesome.
James, our tour bus driver was a friendly face who welcomed us at each port as he raced from one state to the next to make it there in time.
Our “exclusive” waiter Edward, who greeted us for each meal and by day two, he had memorized the little preferences we liked for our meals, plus our names. Katut (spelling?) our “wine sommelier” I don’t thing that was his actual title, but he showed up other lovely wine options each night and also could recall each of our preferred cocktails. Preston, whom I’m assuming was the restaurant manager or banquet captain? He again, stopped by each day, greeted us by name and always asking if there was anything additional we needed.
The ability to make each guest feel like we were the only guest to focus on was a unique guest experience and threw the service over the top!
Now there are a few who’s names I don’t remember, but I remember the service. The bartender who did the martini presentation, he was fun, friendly, very personable, and made a great martini!
The young woman who works the spa, she was exceptional, truly one of the best massages I’ve ever had!
Jo, our housekeeper, I brought medication with me that needed to be refrigerated. (I mistaking read that mini fridge were in rooms, but it is just the suites) anyways, when I realized I didn’t have a fridge, I placed my medication in the ice bucket and when I returned to the room, she had brought in a tiny portable fridge and placed my meds in it. (I never told her about the meds, or asked her to provide options) I just came back to room and found it taken care of. Plus she kept our room very nicely taken care of, like a ninja, we leave the room for what seems like a brief time, return and everything is refreshed!
The young woman who worked the pursers desk, we had an issue with cruise credits being activated on our account, she took action to get it taken care of and would give me a smile as I passed by giving me updates. It did get taken care and we used the credits in the spa.
The house band was fun, friendly, very talented and played a really nice variety of genres.
I loved that the captain took the time to introduce and recognized the key staff players at the beginning of the cruise, assuring us they were gonna make our time on this cruise memorable & enjoyable. But mostly, I loved that he brought the entire staff out at the conclusion of the cruise to recognize and show appreciation to all the staff who worked hard to make sure we all had a lovely time.
Creating and executing employee recognition & appreciations programs was joy of my career, I truly know how valuable it is, so I especially enjoyed seeing this!
I guess if I were to sum it up, the cruise felt “homey”. The personal touches of everyone remembering your name and/or cabin number. You even got friendly with the other passengers. These were things I don’t think you get on the big cruise ships, where you are a nameless face in a crowd.
We all walked away as small ship converts, Happy we took the chance to try something new.

The Staff was always cheerful and helpful. Mark was our waiter for many evenings. He went out of his way to fulfill our wishes. I am including my husband in this. Everyone was attentive and tried to make this cruise very special for us.

The staff were attentive. The food and service was great. With a few exceptions all the locations and tours were interesting and well planned. We will definitely recommend Victory Cruises to our friends.

Everything was really great. The ship is lovely, Staff was amazing. So friendly and attentive. Special shout out to Sarah and Derrick on drink service, Teresa at the bar, Murni and Tyrone on wait staff, Irene our cabin steward and Justin the bus driver.

Food was really wonderful. I'm a vegetarian and the vegetarian options were varied and delicious. Included outings were fun.

Entertainment was very good. The house band did a great job of varying things up each night.

Will, the Lakelorian, helped give us an education that made everything we saw more interesting. He's an amazing speaker.

Everything exceeded our expectations.

Everything great except the food tour on the next to the last day. That four was worthless

Victory Cruise Lines were so through with their scheduling bringing informative and engaging new places to visit and explore.

Entertainment was excellent, always geared toward the area and related best to the age of audience.

Dining throughout the ship was plentiful and well presented. Very attentive staff in all areas.

Since our cruise was an extra special occasion, our family vacation of twelve, our cruise on the Victory 1 was perfect, enabling us to experience quality time together in comfort and enjoy new places with your delightful crew. Thank you.

Cruise exceeded my expectations. Beautiful accommodations. Well maintained. Awesome crew ready to meet and exceed my needs. Food menu, preparation, service well thought out and executed

The food was good and the service was good.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We had a problem with our cabin being so noisy we couldn’t sleep and the pursers office moved us straightaway and gifted us fruit, wine and an apology.
The food was excellent ,the servers very professional .
The Lakelorien speaker was especially good, very knowledgeable and entertaining.
We thoroughly enjoyed the band and its versatility. The singer had a great voice.
The outings were a mixed bag. Sadly we could not see any of Lake Superior due to foggy weather. The trip to Mackinac Island was a high point, although the buffet was not good value and poorly organized and directed.
The outing in Milwaukee was a huge disappointment ,mainly due to the guide.
We met some lovely people on the ship and generally enjoyed our time, especially as our needs were taken care of so promptly and courteously.

The staff was great, the food was good, the weather was excellent but some of the excursions were a disappointment. We had a great cabin steward, Sid and Sarah, our cocktail attendant were especially great. They made our cruise a wonderful experience.

The staff including restaurant, cleaners, etc were excellent. Very attentive and courteous. Rooms were very nice. Howver the baths are small, expected. Shower stall very small. We are smaller people and wasn't a problem but thought of several large individuals on board that im sure had issues. Lighting in bathroom should upgraded or brighter over the mirror. Beds comfortable and temperature control very good. Stops were interesting and accommodated for distance to and from locations. Smooth sailing on entire trip
Food was excellent!! Definitely have referred friends to Victory. Will check on other tours on the east coast.

We enjoyed our Great Lakes cruise very much. The itinerary was very good and the complimentary tours were just what we were looking for. Comprehensive and easy on our 80+ year old knees and backs. We like the Lakelorian feature. Learned from that a lot. Our tour guides were very nice and knowledgeable. We loved the food and the service. The staff were simply wonderful. Will highly recommend to family and friends.

The only thing we did not like was our fourth floor location. While it was the most expensive floor, it was uncomfortable for us. It was great when the weather was good. When it rained or was cold, you needed an umbrella or jacket to get any where. We feared slipping and falling on the wet floor. No fourth floor for us. Next time we travel with you, we want a cabin on the third floor.
