Super, personal service with a phone call to inform us when delivery was due, and a lovely personalised and signed "thank you for your order" card with the order.
The lampshade is beautiful and just what we wanted.

A company that actually knows what customer service means! Following their advice I bought a Spotlight-brand outdoor light from them. It arrived quickly and the quality is excellent. Highly recommended.

Placed order on Wednesday evening, voicemail on Thursday morning saying order received with special instructions noted, order delivered at Friday lunchtime. Outstanding.

Really impressed with the customer service. Before I received the ceiling light I was phoned by the company to tell me when I could expect delivery. The guy also confirmed the bulbs I would require & agreed to include it with my previous order.

I'm surprised to see any bad reviews here. I just received my second order on time. I got a phone shortly after placing the online order to let me know that they had seen my "needed by Monday" note. Excellent lamps and excellent personal service.

Bought a very nice quality shade which unfortunately was damaged in transit. Without any quibble, ULS offered to replace straight away and sure enough, another promptly arrived in perfect condition! Superb customer care and communication and it's great to know that you can stil get that personal service experience even when transacting on line. Definitely recommend.

Ordered kitchen pendant lights and wall lights. Very happy with price, delivery and packaging.
There is a lot of made in UK lighting on the site, which is great as I'm trying to cut down on the "made in China" goods.
One of the lights was a bespoke item made in the UK and they even phoned me when I placed the order, to say that the Christmas shut-down would cause a small delay to manufacture of this item and offered to let me swap out.

Ordered 2 lamps in September 2020. When the craftsmen started to make them they discovered an issue with a component. The replacements had a long lead time due to prevailing supply chain challenges. Universal gave me a credit for my payment as soon as I asked. The lovely Debrah kept me regularly informed of expected delivery times. Parts received and I placed a new order in January 2021. I expect delivery early February. Very happy with the service and the customer friendly culture. Well done!

Ordered on 09.12.21, rang on 13th Dec advised by George delivery would be by friday 17th Dec waited in all day no luck, still waiting. Spoke with a lady this morning, not very helpful & blamed covid amongst other things as excuse. Happy to take my money but not deliver on time, why use DPD as your courier who are the worse rated courier in the market!!!! My contract is with this firm not the courier they choose to use to deliver so not my job to chase couriers who are not customer friendly! Won't be using this firm again, real shame as i like to support local business but it seems you can't beat good old Amazon who deliver next day or money back.

I had a very good experience with this company. After identifying a lamp that I wanted, I found they offered it at a competitive price. Since I am in Denmark, I needed to email them to see whether they could ship from the UK, and the response and service I got was fantastic. I could choose to pay for the import taxes in the purchase price, so I didn't need to worry about getting a bill for it later or having the goods held up in customs. They advised and made it clear that the lamp would come with a UK plug and that the lamp did not include a shade (base only).
The shipment arrived promptly and without any fuss, and I am very happy with the high quality of the lamp I purchased.

I found Universal Lighting Services by pure chance on Google and so glad I did! Absolutely delighted with the taupe lampshades I purchased and even more impressed with the customer service from Debbie which went above any beyond my expectations.

I was looking for lampshades to go with some existing table lamp bases and Universal had exactly the right size & colour I was looking for. The new shades are so much nicer than the original ones and better quality too.

It's clear when reading Universal's previous reviews that this company knows how to do business and treat customers so I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Excellent customer service
I had a courtesy phone call to confirm my order and delivery times.
The lights arrived on time but unfortunately one of them was damaged. I phoned and spoke to George who apologised and arranged straight away for a replacement light to be sent out.
The replacement light arrived on time but this one was also damaged , so it was another phone call to George who was very polite and helpful again and this time arranged to send out the light with a different courier. The third light arrived within 3 days and this time no damage.
We know have two fantastic lights waiting to be fitted into our kitchen refurb.
