I’ve stayed in a couple of properties through Unique Homestays and I’ve found them to be an excellent, professional company to deal with. I’ve just had a stay at ‘The Outpost’ in Rowen near Conway. The property is beautiful, in a wonderful position and designed with the best fittings and finish. The host was lovely and helpful, I would highly recommend it. A very relaxing break for me and the dogs.

We stayed in Cornwall at a property called Thalia. The property is exceptional. Great location, has amazing views across the hills and lovely to watch the sun dip over hills, even in the winter. The house is beautifully designed and furnished. Everything is high quality, generously proportioned and well appointed. I didn’t know I needed two dishwashers in my life - now I do! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Thalia and Unique Stays, who are always effortlessly efficient and a pleasure to book through.

Four Hundred Summers stands within beautifully manicured gardens. However, while it is advertised on Unique Homestay’s website as an ‘utterly quintessential luxury Cotswold cottage with all the feelings of flapjack-scented homecomings, this was not our experience.
We booked a 7-night stay over Christmas 2025 to celebrate my 60th birthday and our wedding anniversary alongside Christmas itself but we quickly identified a whole host of issues relating to the cleanliness of the property and subsequently left early on Christmas Eve. We were so relieved to get home.
The kitchen was particularly dirty with thick dust and grease on all of the skirting boards, food debris on the floor and sticky fingerprints visible on most of the cupboard doors and handles. The kitchen knives were also dirty and had to be washed prior to use as was the pan that we picked up to cook dinner in on our first night. The brochure for the house was covered in sticky fingerprints and didn’t lend itself to being thumbed through for ideas on where to eat out. Overall this property was unhygienic and not what we were expecting.
We contacted UHS by e-mail within 2.5 hours of arriving and rang them the following morning. We sent many photographs of what we found and felt their response was professional and supportive. They liaised with the owner and attempts were made to rectify the problems by sending in the cleaning team whilst we went out for our anniversary meal. Unfortunately they decided to attend 2 hours before the agreed time which I felt placed us in a very uncomfortable position, heightening the stress we were already under.
On our return later that evening, some of the issues we had raised had been addressed but when I subsequently found food debris along with human hair underneath the main sofa cushions, I knew we couldn’t spend Christmas here let alone cook our Christmas meal. We therefore made the decision to travel home the very next morning along with the turkey and all of the trimmings we had bought locally.
While we were able to get a full refund, we cannot in good conscience recommend this property.

We stumbled upon Unique Homestay by accident, and it turned out to be amazing. From the very beginning, communication was prompt and helpful, with Hannah and the entire team going above and beyond to assist us. The selection of high-quality, unique, and interesting properties is impressive. Hannah's knowledge of the properties and the local areas really stood out. We chose to stay at the Little Inka in Cornwall, and it exceeded all our expectations—better than the images we saw. The information provided was comprehensive and accurate. Wendy and Tom, our hosts, were welcoming and thoughtful, anticipating our needs with everything from a delightful welcome pack to a basket of locally sourced items. They also shared fantastic recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and activities, all conveniently located within a 10 to 20-minute drive or within walking distance. Our experience was so positive that we will definitely use Unique Homestay again. Highly recommend.

We stayed at a property in Cornwall (Whitsand Bay) called The Edge & it was simply delightful! Everything was to the standard that we have come to take for granted with Unique. The property itself was beautifully maintained, in a perfect location for a couples retreat, and with the most amazing views & a hot tub paradise! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend either Unique or this property….

We had a wonderful stay at Avalon Manor over Christmas. It’s a beautiful house and we were so pleasantly surprised to arrive to find it beautifully decorated for the holidays. The photos do not do it justice (and they’re pretty great photos!).

The support team at Unique Homestays were very helpful as we were deciding which of their properties would suit us best and were responsive to any queries before and during our stay.

A 5-star experience from beginning to end!

I've booked three houses now with Unique Homestays and they have all been wonderful. The quality of the houses that the company curates is superior. I just spent a week on Loch Tay in Scotland at the Silva House and it was absolutely incredible! Stunning! I can't wait for my next stay at a Unique Homestays property.

My wife and I wanted to get away someone for just the two of us this Christmas and we found Sea Glass on the Unique Homestay website and it looked…. Perfect to us. Quiet, private and with a little touch of luxury. The communication with Simone was clear, concise and straightforward.. we enjoyed a wonderful 4 nights at a simply stunning venue.. and the welcome gift hamper upon arrival, with flowers and a simple Christmas card were a classy touch. I can wholeheartedly recommend this experience. Thank you for hosting us. We’ll be back to book with you again.

A last minute booking just before Christmas was handled quickly and professionally. Even on Christmas Eve Simone from Uniquehomstays was very proactive and responsive. The cottage was lovely too, just as described so no let down when we got there.

We have booked beautiful places through Unique Homestays over the years and the properties have always exceeded our expectations. We know that UHS means care, quality and an end to end process that is seamless and stress free. We stayed at Senara for the second time (having been in June) over Christmas and it was absolutely wonderful. The owners are very generous in sharing this beautiful home with guests, from the art on the walls to the brilliantly equipped kitchen and everything in between. There is a real sense of sharing a home rather than renting a holiday house, in all the small touches and provision of everything you could want or need. We were surprised and delighted that the house was decorated for Christmas in gorgeous style. The position near Gwithian beach is spectacular, with inky star studded skies after beautiful sunsets an added bonus. Absolutely marvellous, thank you.

This is I think my 3rd stay via Unique Homestays. The site is easy to use, the booking form is smooth, and overall an excellent booking site. The properties on their site are always stunning and to an excellent standard, and as always, the customer support if ever needed is fabulous.

The Shearling is a wonderful, magical, peaceful place to stay. It is filled with warmth and superb quality style, in beautiful surroundings. We all loved staying there so much we didn’t want to leave.

We stayed at Limehouse for 3 nights and it was one of the most spectacular trips we’ve ever taken. The booking process was very easy and, given the property was off the main road, there were very clear instructions given to allow us to arrive without any stress.
The actually property was stunning!! The house was renovated and designed to a very high standard and the view was incredible. The outside bath overlooking the lake was beautiful.
It was also great that we were able to bring our dog.

I will begin by mentioning how beautiful the UNIQUE HOMESTAY'S website is, and how easily we were able to navigate it.
Add to that, the excellent communication experiences we have had with everyone, from the personal representatives, to the owners, to the house cleaning staff. Their responses were always friendly, helpful and efficient.
But, the true heart stealer was the property itself. It exceeded our expectations and truly could be named, “a dream come true!”
My sister and I wanted to not only visit the COTSWOLDS but to feel like we were living there. We chose the village of BIBURY for its renowned beauty and its numerous nature walks . Finding THE FLOWER PRESS online, as our accommodation, just made the decision to come there, all the more agreeable. Yet despite our eager anticipation, we were not prepared for how much we would fall in love with THE FLOWER PRESS.
Walking into the garden from the drive, was like walking thru to another time. It was late September, flowers still blooming, the fragrance of ripe apples, moss, herbs, busy birds chirping and chattering, beckoned us forward.In view, a table with two chairs situated as if just waiting for us to sit and enjoy tea and a book. It was hard to not spend these first few minutes wandering about this lovely, private, special environment, but the front of the house, with it’s ivy covering and recessed front door was too much to resist.
After inserting the sturdy key into the lock, and pushing the handcrafted door forward, one enters the space as if coming thru a secret passage, and there before you, with gorgeous, wide plank flooring, high ceilings, sparkling chandeliers, carefully curated furnishings and decor, and the most delightful smells, (jasmine? lily? citrus?)coming from the reed diffusers. Every room we moved to had its own special feeling and character, each as wonderful as the last. Upstairs, down two stairs, around corners, special nooks and architectural moments. The details of each so very well thought out, and useful, if not just simply beautiful.
Each day we would walk the paths, streets and fields for hours, enjoying the beautiful countryside, only to become giddy in the anticipation of returning to THE FLOWER PRESS, to relax in the garden, or to lounge by a crackling fire, or to sit in the darling kitchen, enjoying our coffee, under the sky lit garden windows, not to mention, to possibly have a wonderful hot shower or a transforming soaking bath, in the fabulously outfitted bathrooms, that are quite fit for a queen. Such a treat!
The decision has been made, that we plan to return, again, and again, despite the long flight from the States, to experience the delights of THE FLOWER PRESS. (Next time, possibly bringing an additional sister, or daughter, along for the fun ;)

We stayed at a cottage on Carswell Farm and it was the best cottage we've ever used. Amazing hamper on arrival, excellent facilities with hot tub in the garden looking over the sea. Would recommend to anyone to use Unique Homestays, based on our experience.

We had a wonderful stay celebrating my 60th birthday. The house was fabulous with everything you needed for a great weekend break. Highlights include the games and cinema room and the hot tub. The decoration of the house was just lovely and the welcome pack was also a very nice surprise. Unique Homestays made the whole process easy from start to finish. Would definitely booked with them again.

We stayed at Watermark, a wonderful converted boathouse overlooking the water at Stoke Gabriel in Devon. The setting was superb, with unbeatable views over the creek and beyond. The quality of the decor was excellent as were the fixtures and fittings. Clearly a lot of love and care had been put in to the conversion by the owner. Stoke Gabriel itself is a lovely little village with a local Post Office and stores as well as a couple of pubs. The River Shack cafe is a few steps away from the property and is a good bet for breakfasts and lunches.

We went to Parr Green Hall (Scarlet Hall) for our daughter’s wedding in March. We returned this month to celebrate family birthdays. We loved every minute. The house is perfect and has everything needed for a fabulous stay and we loved the heated indoor pool and BBQ/firepit area as well as the beautiful grounds. The hosts Gail and Chris are so lovely and helpful. Hannah at Unique Homestays was really helpful and efficient and made booking easy. Can’t wait to return.

Just returned from a week in The Wool Shed and had the most incredible stay.
It was the first time we had used Unique Homestays and I can say the customer service and every interaction with them, was second to none.
The Wool Shed lived up to the description online in every aspect. We were also blessed with the weather and so explored the surrounding area, but equally it was a pleasure to get back to our cosy home for the week. We’ve definitely had the holiday blues since being back so planning where to go next! Thank you UHS and looking forward to booking our next break with you very soon
