Canceled my son’s car insurance because I live in a caravan. No explanation given other than we don’t insure people if they live in caravans

If I could give one star, I would. We were hit by an insured driver who admitted liability. It took months to sort out and eventually, it was settled but my grievance is that they passed us off to Hadleigh claims management and both conpanies are refusing to get our excess back and have palmed us off to the legal services who are incompetant. I would avoid like the plague as I am still waiting for my excess to be returned as well as the costs incured by the accident. Customer service is indifferent at best

Had an unfortunate breakdown in a vehicle and the recovery was messed up. I complained to Adrian Flux insurance (who sold me the policy) but they were so slopy shouldered about it (which was odd given I took the policy out with them) and pushed the burden onto Trinity Lane (Hadleigh). Fair play to Hadleigh, they investigated, realised the error, and offered me compensation for my out of pocket expenses plus compensation and this was gratefully accepted. Everyone makes mistakes but the measure of a good service is accepting a mistake has been made and making amends. Big shame on Adrian Flux's attitude but full marks to Hadleigh

One month later and I still haven't been offered a reasonable amount for my stolen vehicle... 🙄

Not only that, Adrian Flux won't be refunding me a penny for the remaining months insurance that I had from June to November. 🤨

I paid upfront for the year nearly £2000, there are 6 months still remaining, you can do the math for what they've absorbed. 🤯

My cars market value is £9500 which was declared at the agreement, if they had a problem with that, they should have taken it up with me at the beginning. 😒

Instead, I'm now being lumbered with a best offer of £7700 less a £750 excess which I don't remember agreeing to. 😲

Their first offer was less than £7000, less the excess. My car didn't depreciate in value £2500 in six months. 😤

Adrian Flux and Trinity Lane Insurance Company Limited should be ashamed of themselves. 😡

My husband had a crash in February 2024 nearly lost his life and was in ICU, they have not kept us informed of what has happened! Personal injury cover is non existent, selling scam cover that doesn’t cover you and doesn’t get back to you when you send in paper work! They are con artists.
What’s this space as I’m reporting to the ombudsman, FCA and the Association of British insurance. Stay away!!!

Shame i cannot give 0 stars, unbelievable bad service, they lose paperwork, they don't contact you back, they do not care.

Had a no fault claim and told the car was a write off and gave a low offer £6000. I refused and waited another week for the ‘in house’ engineer to assess (why not do this initially) . I have chased them for their engineer to now value at £9500 and that they will repair it. It is now 3 weeks and still at the same point as after the collision and awaiting a call from the body shop. No courtesy car, no apology. Avoid this company at all costs.

I've recently been in contact with this disgracefully run company in respect of the voluntary cancellation of my motorbike policy. I insured my Thruxton on a third party basis and was charged £85.00 for the privilege, so I've just enquired about a layed-up policy which they just tried to bend me over for 191 quid. What????!!! So this extortionate amount was to keep my bike in an alarmed garage and wouldn't be ridden until June 2024! These people need a lesson in not trying to reach into working class people's pockets and taking what they think they have a right to! Buncha non- events!! Steer clear of this woeful company at all costs!! Disgruntled cockney!

Trinity Lane hide various exemptions, that no reasonable person would expect to be applied, in the back of their policy document and flagrantly disregard guidance from the insurance ombudsman about informing customers of these exemptions.
Staff have an incredibly patronising attitude.
Trinity Lane Insurance are the most thoroughly dishonest company I have ever dealt with.
I am going to change insurers for the rest of the year as I have no confidence that Trinity Lane would not find some other technicality to weasel out of a claim on if I have an accident in future.

ICO have found Hadleigh Claims breached regulations when refusing to disclose my personal data to me, which they hold under Subject Access.

Penalised for becoming a student?
I have previously had good experience with Adrian Flux who I insure my vehicle through. This changed in the past couple of days however. I have recently started a masters degree in social care and called to let them know that I had changed my occupation and address. I was told that I can no longer drive other people's vehicles due to these changes. When pressed for a reason for this, I was told that this was due to the underwriters making these changes which doesn't explain the reasons why I am now deemed uninsurable to drive other people's vehicles. I have a totally clean driving history and have been a careful driver for 34 years. Having spoken to Adrian Flux they have assured me that the company responsible for this is Trinity Lane as they are the Insuring company. Honestly, this is completely unfathomable to me.

Car was taken into the repair garage with very minor bodywork damage. When it came out it ran like a tank. The engine management light came on. The insurance company refused to send the car to the main dealers to investigate the problem. They said if I was not satisfied then I could take it to the Lexus dealership and pay for it myself. The attitudes of the engineers was appalling. They constantly overtalked me, and at times resulted to shouting at me. The case has gone to the Ombudsman. I will be telling everyone I know how poor Trinity insurance is when dealing with the public.

Sold useless excess protect policy by AFlux, underwriting by Trinity Lane. When I come to claim I’m told evidence must be provided within 31 days of payment and then only for non-fault accidents. Useless people who don’t care about misselling

They allowed a criminal to make 3 fraudulent claims on my car insurance totaling £32,000. When this was pointed out to them they were snotty and dismissive and are now reluctantly looking into it.
Avoid them like the plague.

Had a small fender bender in a carpark. Third party told their insurers as I did mine. Nothing more said until I came to renew a couple months later and was refused insurance while an open case was showing.
No contact from third party insurers since August 2022, its now May 2023. Trinity have said it will in all likelihood settle the third party claim, not the attitude i would expect but still waiting for the other insurers to respond with their accident statement form before proceeding...
This company is a waste of time

Be aware, no doubt Sterling Insurance are no different to other companies offering learner driver policies. I insured my daughters car through Sterling insurance, the insurer was Trinity Lane. Paid the policy in full upfront for 12 months cover. She passed her test within 6 months, when I called to cancel it, I was told that Trinity lane would issue approximately half of the premium back. However Sterling said Trinity Lane would then take back a cancellation fee, commission fee, and of the remaining refund Sterling would take their cancellation fee so effectively the refund we would get back would be less than 10% of the premium paid. Not bad for 6 months driving!!

Another dodgy company - part of the 'Sterling' Fraud Cabal. Crooks through and through ; just take "Trinity Lane" as an alias for "Sterling Insurance", "Sterling-Insurance-Services", or "Herts Insurance". they sell policies from other pal companies and so are effectively marking their own copybooks to rip people off and escape liability. Reported to FCA & Ombudsman.

spoke to sterling insurance as my wife received 3 points, they tried to put the insurance up £ 116,00
or to remove her from the policy was £ 110.00
does not make sense, only used I months insurance
but had to pay for a hole year won't be using them again

Giving one star as it’s the lowest shocking my husband had personal accident insurance through a well known motorcycle insurance company which is underwritten by this company not only was it mis-sold to him but sadly he had an accident, tried claiming apparently screws and plates due to acetabular fracture and pelvic injury is not a permanent injury !! These are in him for life !!! asked GP for records his information is with the consultant at the hospital will be taking this further generic letter date of incident blank … it’s a life changing injury … loopholes, read the policy again we have every right to complain and claim for his injury
