Not even worth one star. Terrible customer service. Will not recommend Travelstart at all and will never book a ticket through them myself again. This company is the worst online travel booking website. It will cost you more to rebook a suspended ticket than to book a complete new ticket elsewhere.

The online booking service is not user friendly. When something went wrong, and I wanted to speak to a agent, I found out that offices only work 8 to 5 and there is NO help after hours. The worst is that you get a notification to pay before midnight in order to keep the booking and price. There was no option to get back into the booking in order to make the change. And also no agent to assist with this either. After 2 hours of trying to correct this I miraculously found banking details, I have paid the amount which should be the correct amount after the automatic extras they added on were deducted. The next day when I tried to get it sorted. It was such a nightmare. I have spent more than 2hours on phonecalls for them to find the payment and then found out that they added another 598 service fee just because I phoned to get the problem sorted. When I queried I got no response and were promised feedback which never happened. I wass forced to pay the additional money before any confirmation was sent of the booking. Don t expect any service from travelstart. They just want your money in exchange for no service.

I had a dispute with Travelstart where my bank card was used without my permission or knowledge to make a booking with travelstart. I notified travelstart after seeing my statement and contacted my bank who suggested I notify travelstart. I reported the problem and seemed helpful. I asked them to cancel whatever the booking was for and refund me. They said they cannot refund me the full amount but would deduct fees. I agreed. Then they suddenly went quiet for a month and stopper replying to all my emails. I have emailed over 30 times. now suddenly a month later they say nothing about my case and instead claim that the booking was a NO-SHOW and they won't be refunding me. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BOOKING DATE WAS AFTER I ALREADY REQUESTED A CANCELLATION AND REFUND. THEIR NUMBERS DON'T WORK AND THEIR RISK DEPARTMENT JUST IGNORES MY EMAILS. THEY DON'T WANT TO GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY. AFTER YEARS OF ME RELYING ON THE COMPANY I FEEL SCAMMED AND CHEATED BY THEM I WANT MY MONEY BACK.

Ich habe einen Hin- und Rückflug über Travelstart gebucht. Leider wurde der Hinflug von der Fluggesellschaft ohne jegliche Info storniert. Ich habe hierzu auch keine Info von Travelstart erhalten. Auch eine Alternative hierzu wurde mir nicht angeboten. Durch eigene Recherche und Kontakt zur Fluggesellschaft habe ich erfahren, dass mein Hinflug storniert worden ist. Den Kontakt zu Travelstart habe ich selbst aufgenommen.
Nach zweimaligen Chat und einem Telefonat wurde mir mitgeteilt, das die Stornierung meiner gebuchten Reise beantragt worden ist. Eine E-Mail hierzu habe ich nicht erhalten.
Nach knapp 3 Wochen kam die Info per Mail, dass meine Stornierung in Bearbeitung ist.
Die Info dass ich mein Geld abzüglich 90 € Stornierungsgebühren + Wechselgebühren (da Rückzahlung eigentlich über USD erfolgt) habe ich dann doch binnen einer Woche nach der ersten Mail erhalten. Das Geld war in 30 Minuten via PayPal zurückgezahlt. Der Anbieter der Rückzahlung war Hyperwallet.
Die Wechselgebühren, sowie die Stornokosten finde ich in diesem Fall eine Frechheit. Allerdings bin ich doch sehr froh, dass ich den größten Teil meines Geldes doch recht schnell zurück erhalten habe.

Fazit: Ich werde keine Buchung mehr über Travelstart noch einem anderen Anbieter durchführen und die Flüge lieber direkt bei der Fluggesellschaft buchen.

Not even worth the 1 star to be frank . They used to be quite effiecient up and until 2019 and I used them often . But post covid they have turned into fraudsters and incompetent ones at that . It feels like they want to recoup their covid losses by ripping of their clients . In particular dont try and change a ticket , then it turns into a feeding frenzy for them . On a recent incident they made more commision from me by cancelling a ticket than they made when booking a ticket , clealry a fraudulent business practice . Long story short , dont use these scamsters

Travelstart hat bei TK (Türkisch Airline) zwei Flüge von HH-Istanbul gebucht. Weil die Sitze in der Regel zu klein sind, habe ich für 168€ mehr Platz hinzugebucht. 2 Wochen vor dem Flug erhielt ich von TK eine Mail, der zusätzliche Platz wurde storniert. Geld zurück habe ich keines erhalten, weder von TK noch von Travelstart. TK schrieb ich müsse das Geld über Travelstart anfordern und da hing ich dann in der englischen Leitung fest. Ein dumm dreister Inder hat mich dann mit vorgefertigten Antworten abgespeist. Werde wohl den Anwalt einschalten, aber erst mal kräftig im Internet auskotzen, vielleicht hilft es ja. ALSO, FINGER WEG VON TRAVELSTART!!!!

TRAVELSTART is the worst company ever i have been following up from past 5 months with regards to my refund status MY BOOKING REFERNCE NUMBER IS AE10073752 it's been more than 5 months i still did not receive my refund and even a proper answer why it's taking so long. You guys have cheated clearly here and i have all the evidence with me and i have planned to file a complaint in CONSUMER FORUM. I will only wait for your reply till 24 hours. PLEASE NEVER BOOK FROM THIS WEBSITE THEY ARE CHEATING BY PROVIDEING FAKE INFORMING THAT 20 KB BAGGAGE IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE BUT IT IS NOT INCLUDED AND THEY WILL NEVER REFUND YOU THE MONEY BACK AND NEVER REPLY TO YOU

Do not EVER use Travelstart to book flights. I missed by flight because they voided my booking without informing me and now they do not want to refund me. This company is a SCAM. If you want peace of mind DO NOT use Travelstart. If I could I would rate Travelstart zero.

I booked my flight ticket through this agency.
The company does not refund me the cost of my ticket.
I have also booked additional services for any case when my flight will be cancelled, und not helped by this service.

I also spent more than 30 minutes on the phone and the call agents were not very friendly and helpful.
Not recommended at all to book a ticket.

I had a trip in June 2022 and had to issue a refund claim. I am still waiting on the refund and when contacting customer services no one can help me on the status of the claim and tells me to just wait for it to be processed, up until today(Feb2023) it has still not been processed. Waiting over 8 months for a simple refund claim is just pure insanity. The service is absolutely horrible and slow. And I would not recommend.

Travelstart was able to refund me my money in less than 24hours after my complaint. I had been double booked on the same flight but after an I email sent to what I believe is their finance department, I was kept on the loop in regards to my matter. My money was sent back into my account in less than 24hours. Semone from Travelstart, THANK YOU!

Terrible experience! Customer service is non existent. They need to send their entire team on customer service training, show departments how to talk to each other and have a robust complaints process. I had to beg them to read my complaint and to actually read the history of my email.

I cancelled my flight three months ago... I am still waiting for the refund.

Travel start are the biggest disappointment. Their systems don’t work and so the customer suffers the consequences. I pay for tickets with my credit card, their admin fee goes through but the portion for the Arline doesn’t, but they insist I put in the wrong details. Then I pay again with an immediate EFT and still no tickets and they still cannot see the payment, despite me sending them a POP. Their response was I need to wait and should they not be able to issue the tickets I paid for, they will use the monies towards other tickets and I will have to cover the cost of the ticket increase. Honestly they should close shop if they cannot offer a proper service. First time and last time I will ever use them.

This company is unprofessional, they don’t fulfill their obligations and do not give full disclosure, they should be prevented from conducting business in the travel industry, disgusting how they treat their clients

Booked a round trip from Capetown to Jor burg, payment when through money got deducted , then got a request from Travelstart to share my ID and a copy of my card. If that doesn’t sound shady enough, I don’t know what is. I called Customer service, they showed no empathy at all. Please avoid this people.
