FRAUD. Our flight got cancelled. We received a faulty email from Travelstart not stating that we have been alternated to the next flight. That‘s why we booked an alternative flight separately. When we contacted Travelstart they said there was an alternative flight (even though they did not mention it in the email - how would we have known??) so the flight cannot be refunded except if we contact the airline directly. Of course, the airline told us to take the matter with Travelstart. So it‘s a classic ping pong situation between airline and Travelstart which really got me on my nerve. When we tried to explain that it was their fault that we didn‘t know we were directed to another flight, the chat agent just casually stopped replying to us. NEVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. AVOID USING THIS AIRLINE AT ALL COST.

My husband had for some reason got his first name twice on the ticket. I have been talking and chatting to Travelstart many times. They couldn’t help in changing. Recommended me to buy new ticket for 1500 dollars. In the end no problem when we got to the airport, would have been poor if I had listened to Travelstart. Very junior staff on their chat. Never again. Much better to book directly with airline.

The term flexible ticket cannot be used if the rules associated are so rigid. They offered me two other flights with the same problem that I had outlined. And the cancellation only refunds 50% in 6 months?!

Fraud! Doesn’t make sense to save 10-50 . Better go to the website of the airline so that you don’t lose fully your money

travelstarts website said payment did not go through. tried it again, same thing. meanwhile my bank informs me that the money came of twice! called travelstart 3x, Emailed 4x.send them bank statements. nothing from them. no manager available. no emails they get from me.
total fraud!
have to do a charge back now but sit without my funds for a month. never again.

The server changes flight itinerary without you having any control over it and whenever you call the centre you fall in a waiting que for 20 minutes without any success!! Please reframe from using this service!

Firstly they need to look at why it is such a mission to call in- they tell you how many minutes before you get helped eg 9 minutes before you can speak to a consultant, you wait for more than an hour and your call does not get answered it just switches off. No matter how many times you book a ticket, it's gets cancelled. There's a problem with their payment link that continuously says pending until it's just cancelled/ expired. There services honestly cause way too much frustration and hassle. I would NEVER recommend travel start to anyone. I would not want anyone to experience this frustrating and stressful service platform.

Booked a ticket in March 2020 which was subsequently cancelled. We went through all the processes at first to try and sell the ticket on to someone else when travel became possible again. That wasn't possible because every time someone wanted to purchase the ticket and do the name swap it was impossible to get hold of someone at Travelstart and the buyer would lose interest. Then we tried to get a refund for the tickets and they went round in circles until the time to get the refund from the airline expired and we no longer can be refunded. All the time they were going round in circles felt like a concerted effort to muck us about so that we would eventually not be eligible for a refund. Guys, book your tickets directly from the airline. Travelstart is redundant.

I bought a return ticket via Travelstart. The return flight was with CEM Air. Firstly, I will never ever fly CEM Air again. Beware their aircraft. They use small propeller aircraft and the one they put us was late because of technical issues. While taking off the pilot suddenly slowed down and turned around due to the same technical issue. They offloaded all passengers and we were taken back to the airport. They were unable to give us any indication as to what the status was and how long we would be delayed. People were infuriated. They missed connecting flights, meetings, etc and this airline was non-chalant. They offered refunds to us. This was 5 days ago. I keep being pushed from pillar to post by Travelstart and CEM Air. They have not communicated to us regarding refunds. When I called Travelstart customer service, the lady who assisted was full of attitude and argumentative. Basically saying that they contacted the airline and that I just have to wait until they hear back from them which could be never. My advice to you is do not use Travelstart or CEM Air.

Flugbuchung war unkompliziert, Preis war gut. Der follow-up Service allerdings eine Frechheit.
Ich habe ein flexibeles Ticket gebucht, jetzt wollte ich den Rückflug ändern und hatte vier Alternativtage zur Verfügung, an allen vier Tagen konnte man angeblich keine Sitzplätze finden. Auf der Travelstart.de Seite allerdings, hätte ich mit der selben Airline neue Flüge zu den gewünschten Daten buchen können.
Als ich wiederholt geschrieben habe, dass auf ihrer eigenen Seite noch Flüge/Sitzplätze vorhanden sind, bekomme ich auch noch eine patzige Antwort.

Horrible experience. Over the last two years calls, emails and still no refund

I booked my flight ticket yesterday and something came up i asked them to cancel my booking so.i can sort out my issue well i tried calling the centre there was no response for hours then i contacted them through an email they responded and my issue was resolved the service was inconvenient but I'm glad i got it sorted in time

Repsonding to mail I received from travelstart on review from more than a year ago. If I could provide them with the booking number on a flight I booked 2,5 year ago!!!??? I'm still waiting for my refund, Indian call center can't help you to get in contact with Travelstart. Dear Travelstart, you have all my details, my phone number, everything to call me back and clarify. Why does it have to be such a struggle to get my 3.500€ back for almost 3 years now.

Have been waiting for 2 years for refund now they have closed their help e mail down.To phone there is a 40 min wait and phone cuts off.
Their is something happening in refunds that I believe is underhanded . I think the cash is being stolen.
Now Standard Bank are recommending them they must be crazy

Bad customer service! They are forcing me to apply for a refund at the airline even as this is their job. If something is jumping out of the plans you wont get your rights!

Even if Travel Starts fare is R20 000 cheaper than the airline directly, I would STILL NOT USE THEM EVER AGAIN. Their service is pathetic, nobody at this company has any idea what is going on.

Horrible experience booking through this company!
Very surprised this isn't a scam company, it sure seems like it. They managed to screw up my booking and sent me an email my payment didn't go through with no suggestion on how to fix this, and I am still not sure if I am making a double booking for the same flight...
The form for contact as soon as you press send a message also does not confirm that the message went through. What a nightmare!

Diese Firma hat meinen Urlaub ruiniert. Meine Frau und ich wollten nach Phnom Penh reisen. Ich habe ein Ticket bei Travelstart.de gekauft, niemals diesen Fehler machen. Das Callcenter hat schreckliches Personal, ich habe eine Stunde mit Anrufen verschwendet und sie lügen einfach. Nach einem Problem am Schalter sind wir nicht in den Flieger gekommen, ich habe sie gefragt, was zu tun ist, sie sagten, Sie können einen anderen Termin für 340 Euro umbuchen, und eine Stunde später sagten sie, auf keinen Fall, späte Buchung, sparen Sie sich, wie Sie wollen . Sehr unangenehme Firma, ich denke, sie sollten geschlossen werden.
