Such a shame. What has happen to Trago Mills Newton Abbott? What a sad dirty dump it is now. I used to love visiting and getting what I needed. But now... no stock,things aren't priced, dirty toilets and shop, miserable inadequate staff,the amusements are dated. The chips in the restaurant had obviously been there a long time as they were hard and stale.
Only reason to visit is the fabric department,which has a good selection of fabrics,but is painfully slow.
So disappointed. Definitely won't be going again. The whole place needs closing or refurbishing.

Visited while we were in the area the staff were very helpful at the Falmouth branch. Trago is a must visit for anyone who is in the area on holiday to just a local. They have so much stuff lots of departments and always fantastic bargains. You always come away with more than you went in for but at the same time you save so much money.

i visited trago mills on the 11th may only to have a roll of vinyl slide off an angled shelf due to the shelf being over filled, it hit me on the neck / shoulder and knocked me over , the health and safety guy isnt being too pro active as he's told me they have started to investigate the accident but couldnt promise if i returned in the next 6 months the necessary actions would have been put in place, in trago mills they incourage pensioners into their stores as they have discounts on for them, i dread to think what the outcome may of been if an elderly customer had been struck instead of me.

Staff are rude and unhelpful. Most products are seconds. The delivery service is diabolical.

So today, 9 March, and after shopping in the main TM store, I went to get a bathroom light and other fittings in The Building Centre. Firstly, the light I picked up had no pricing anywhere. I went to the till and the cashier had just finished serving a customer but instead of then serving me, he started to go through paperwork at the till completely ignoring me like I was invisible & what seemed like ages!! No one else around to ask firstly, how much and ideally buy. So I put the light back and went to B&Q..that's the last time I'll go to the Building centre at Trago Mills. Non existent customer service at its best!!!

Although this place gets a lot of mixed reviews, if you know what you need, it can save you time and money. Recently needed a lot of plants for a garden overhaul and found the value to be very competitive.

I visited today the staff in the main restaurant could not do enough for my son & I. I had a beautiful roast dinner with Gluten Free gravy, followed by GF Brownie & custard. Manager showed me GF cakes, our puddings were brought over to us, after we had finished our dinner. WELL DONE TO ALL THE STAFF THAT WORK IN THERE YOUR DOING AN AMAZING JOB. THANK YOU, SHELL DUNN

Very poor quality now, shelves empty,staff always unwilling to be helpful , carpets and rugs selection only fit for a old people's home,so sad have always shoped here,OH and prices probably more than any where else

Massive shop idea if you know what want when go there cheap carpet and Lino plenty to offer to everyone

Been to Trago merthyr on a few occasions & upon asking staff for a certain item, I’v often been told, what’s on the shop floor is all they have. My most recent experience, I needed 2 pairs of curtains, different sizes but only the 1 size they had. Kelly, the supervisor was really helpful in checking if there were any more in the warehouse. Unfortunately there wasn’t but they did have stock in another store so she ordered them in for me.
After a good chat about different products, I ended up leaving the store with new pillows, a duvet, & 2 very large lovely thick throws.
The customer service I received that day was impeccable & I’m sure Kelly could teach other staff a thing or two about how to treat a customer.

I purchased a lexmoto titan 125 had the bike for a year and it was falling apart. Rust everywhere, electrical problems , ignition barrel falling out , battery issues. Eventually it broke down never to start again. The boss of trago came out and tried to blame me saying it was poor upkeep and I should be spraying it with a waterproof lubricant I've showed the pictures to various bikers and testers and they told me this isn't normal at all. Avoid buying any bikes from trago2wheels if it goes wrong they will blame you and only offer a small amount of the bike back to you. I should of took them to court regret it now

Well, it only started with a triple rooster attack in the car park on a rainy day. We then fled and run into the carpet entrance. We were instantly mesmerised by all the D.I.Y merchandise. To add to this, my husband then got lost in the guitar and drum section. Whilst I scurried away from the wallpaper and dishwahing isle, to quickly get lost in the Christmas decs and indoor plant area.

Once we rekindled, I then realised the toilet were in Looe(it felt that far away). My husband then said,let's take a trip in.

After re-entering and grabbing masking tape and a paint brush, we finally managed to make the 1/3rd of the the ground floor.
On entering the first floor beds, cabinets,golden elephant teapots, rugs,lazy boys, tents and guns galore were just the half of it. An absolute labyrinth of of goods. Who ever needs to go to another outlet. Needs to re-think. Best day out ever!!! To top it off the butcher had x2 steaks for a fiver on the way out. But the massive rooster nearly had my husband on the floor. The final thing that topped the day off was the resident peacock did a runner out of the main entrance.

Bought a carpet from the Newton Abbot branch. As soon as it was laid we noticed it had a fault. Manager came to my home and inspected it and straightaway confirmed it was faulty and found a second fault with it that we were unaware of. She said she would have to refer it back to the manufacturer who refused to accept it was faulty as their inspector said there was nothing wrong with it so Trago wouldn't do anything more. Will never buy a carpet from them again

Absolute shambles , bought a carpet which was the wrong size . Avoid

Absolutely shocked, sold a faulty air rifle, went back within 28 days, Matthew in merthyr who was in charge at the time refused to help, also refused to tell me what my statutory rights were as a customer, this chap was totally uneducated and damn rude and put the phone down on me without resolution, I was refused a refund also refused an exchange for a faulty item whilst within my 28 days of receipt shocking day light robbery, breaking the consumers rights law and total dis regard for customers, also extremely rude staff on the counter very unprofessional, so I have to wait for trago mills to sent the item to sig sauer for inspection or repair, damming service I will warn everyone that I know who shops there which is quite a few, just a waiting game now........... 269 pounds out of pocket, shame on you trago mills and all the staff that dealt with me,

Remember Woolworths in the seventies. Trago is that, just a massive one..

Had excellent service at Merthyr Tydfil especially from Luke in the carpet department. Luke went over and above in customer service and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Will certainly return for further carpet and vinyl.

Where's tha bin

I've bin to Trago Mills in Newton Abbot to buy, of all things - A RUBBISH BIN.

Trago have a huge store and a builders merchant and you'd think they would stock a bin, but oh NO.

Trago are dependably undependable to stock simple items of use.

However, if you want a left handed sprocket thingammy, they'll have dozens of them.

Contrary to some reviews I have always had good service at both Falmouth and Liskeard, the staff have always been helpful and friendly. I have bought a huge variety of items ranging from haberdashery, pet items and kitchen accessories to furniture and have been pleased with the price and quality. It's usually my first stop for household goods and, to be honest, much else.

Sat for a 2 hour kitchen design was told he would email the quote the end of the week over 2 weeks later nothing!! Shop local I thought wish I hadn’t wasted those 2 hours !!!!
