A bunch if morons with no respect for long term sellers and prefer to fire off generic templates then fob you off having done so.

Selling fee $20, success fee 7.9%, ping fee 2.9% selling iPhone $1800
$215 in FEES

I listed with bank transfer as payment Tradme refused this and changed to Ping stating anti fraudulent measures. Would not let me use my bank.

Will not use again

Nothing works... upgrade taking too long. Moving on now to find other outlets for selling.

False advertising, paid 16k for a car that was listed to have no problems at all. Seller had cleared codes to make it run fine now its unwarrantable. Also paid for items and once paid sellers stop communication after payments were made. One seller also asked for more money for shipping and then ghosted me it's been over a month. Trade me dose nothing at all DONT USE THE WEBSITE

TRADE ME IS A SCAM. I used to trust this site to buy and sell from but not anymore. They suspended my account for no reason AFTER i purchased and paid for an item with afterpay??? The order is still active in my afterpay but the seller said trademe cancled the purchase but why am i still paying for the item then? They wont respond to emails and the live chat is useless.

Buyer beware, site is now full of scammers, we were scammed out of $1700, they have no protection to stop this, the police and our bank had no idea how bad it was, they were not able to do anything about the funds, they are all care and no responsibility. I have now heard about countless people being scammed on Trade Me, we closed our account and they didn't care about how much we had purchased on the site over 16 years. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM, they condone scamming!!

Trade Me is next to useless for selling stuff now and so hard to find what you're looking for. Too many international sellers. Too difficult to isolate pvt sellers from in trade sellers

Trademe is useless for selling items, the website is full of errors, some errors longer than a year and still not fixed. They made support almost impossible to use.
There fees are so high, there higher than when the item was sold from new. TM are digging there own grave. I used to love TM 10 years ago and now every time they do a so call website upgrade there website just gets worse and worse and moor and moor errors.

I searched for an item but did not purchase. Over $150 was taken from my account and the item (Ryobi charger) appeared as 'lost' not 'won'. It was my money that was lost because it is almost impossible to contact TradeMe.

Truly disgusting service or lack of. Have been a business selling on TM for over 20 yrs, pay extra for a TM store. Now I cannot even get a reply for an issue. First they pulled the 0800 no. Now I can't even get a reply via email from customer support! Never known anything like it! How I'm supposed to get any help is beyond me. This is over several months I've been trying to get some help, am being totally ignored!

I have done some selling and buying on Trademe (80+ trades),and had a reasonably good experience. However, I think users are unaware of how useless Trademe is when a trader advertises an item dishonestly.
I bought an item which turned out to have substantial undocumented damage. When asked for a refund, the trader said "buyer beware". Complained to Trademe. They sent one email to the trader, asking him to fix the problem, and when he didn't even bother to respond, referred me to the Disputes Tribunal.
Basically, you have no protection against fraud in this marketplace, and Trademe are enabling bad traders by their lack of action. $ before ethics.
I will not buy again from Trademe.

TradeMe was once a great experience and felt safe. I have done a lot of business using this platform in the past but over the years they have turned into a SCAM company and I must warn everyone to stay away from this company as if anything goes wrong, YOU will be the one crying.

I'm greatly disappointed in the slimey, disgusting behaviour from this company.

I've been scammed on TRADE Me and it is almost impossible to get a response from trademe to help.

l had an account with 100% positive feedback deleted because someone else logged into their account on my device and trademe closed my account and keep closing my account every time I create a new one. The customer service is NOT there. Instead automated AI responses that you cannot reply to.

These people also charge success fee's that are ridiculously high. Some items are not even worth listing as the fee's are going to eat up what you sold the item for.

DO NOT use their Ping system and once they have your money they will then target you and it will be almost impossible to receive your money from Ping. Trademe WILL find a problem on your account once you receive a Ping payment as an excuse to keep the money.

I sold my personalized number plates for $800 and now I owe trademe $87 for this transaction.

Trademe are theives and that's as simple as it gets.

Business with such horrible reviews must be investigated and dealt to accordingly like any small business would be out through if that was the case.

Have had a trademe account for years, used it to sell some items I no longer require. First item sells in minutes, purchaser pays using their “Ping” system. I withdrew that amount from Ping to my bank account then all of a sudden I can’t log in to my trademe account as it’s allegedly “unregistered” and the money never shows up in my account. Thankfully the item is still in my possession. But trade have just stolen an $800 transaction from me and closed my account without a single email to suggest a reason. Thieving vermin scum!

A scam. Bought a van off a guy with 100% good feedback. The guy told me it had done 95,000 kms when it had done 207,000. The photos he left didn’t represent the van. Said minimul surface rust when it was full of rust. Even though it had a new warrant the van wasn’t roadworthy. Left him bad feedback. Yet when he told his side of a phone call that I had with him trade me removed the bad feedback. Trade me standards are unacceptable. Never trust either trade me or feedback ratings on trade me

Had an issue with something i sold, so i agreed to do a refund VIA bank transfer at the end of the month, Trademe is now insisting on doing a ping refund because the buyer is complaining even though i sent screenshots of the buyer agreeing to a bank transfer at the end of the month....

Ive stopped useing Trademe to sell stuff.....rediculously high prices.....I'm outa here

After paying $160 for a premium ad the advert was put into the wrong category, I listed the correct category but when the registration was put in it was changed automatically to cars because of this my campervan has had very few views or saves I have contacted trade me three times now still with no reply I am extremely

Trade Me android app keeps crashing so I can't relist trades.This is on top of all the other recent shortcomings e.g. inability to change trade from auction to buy now.

Bunch of incompetent muppets. They send bizzare emails full of accusations and when I hit 'reply' it auto populates a 'noreply' email address! Very hard to actually talk to anyone with half a brain. They have a monopoly and clearly don't care about customer service. Thats a D Minus from me.
