I have bought three bathrooms from Trade Bathrooms Castleford in the last eight months, one for a rental property and two for my home. Until I went to return items on Saturday, 12/07, the experience went well.
The first Bathroom, the ceiling lats were delivered damaged. They were 4m in length, so they immediately brought a substitute 2.5m length and said they would collect the damaged ones. After three weeks waiting, I took them back with a trailer of my own.
The second Bathroom went ahead with no issues, and I was pleased with the service and also with Andrew, the Salesman, who helped my wife in choosing the package.
The third bathroom followed the same lines. I had to return several items from the 2nd bathroom, again on a Saturday due to work commitments, so I asked Andrew if he could keep the measurements tighter.
The 3rd Bathroom was fitted, and there were four packs of Tiles to be returned, a couple of bags of adhesive and two work tops that were not required.
I returned these in my own vehicle on the Saturday morning despite the fact I have had two knee replacements in the last four months the last one being just over four weeks previously, as i had been given the go ahead to drive I returned the items the tiles were 700 x 450 so quite heavy although I did manage to load with obvious discomfort. I arrived at their premisis at10:00am there was one customer in the shop so I waited until they had been dealt with, I then approached the Manager Mark and said I have some returns, he immediately informed me that due to a recent Company Policy change he they were no longer accepting returns as they were to busy at weekends, even though there was no one waiting, all he had to do was to push the buttton on the roller shutter door. He was still adamant that he would no longer accept returns even though there was no signage present, and I was told that I could bring them back at any time. He said that this was a recent change and they had not put any notices up as of yet. I reminded him that it had taken substantial effort for me to load due to my recovery. He said he would collect from my home. I replied, you told me that before, and I still had to bring them back myself. I also reminded him that I had spent £15,000 with this business in the last 8 months, and now it is too much effort just to push a button for me and that I would offload myself. He was still adamant that it was Company Policy and he would not accept. At that stage, I had to leave as I was so upset that I had to offload the items at home again. Whilst I believe any Company has the right to Company Policies, they must be instigated over a period, giving notice to customers and ensuring they understand. Trade bathrooms collected the Items on the following Tuesday. I was at work at this time, so unless they collected, I had no opportunity even to return unless I took a day off.
Mark the Manager, called me on the following Sunday, asking me to call into the depot so he could give me my refund. After my last encounter with Mark and his attitude I told him that i would never step foot in the premisis again and could he make a card payment over the phone, He told me that due to Company Policy they do not make Card payments over the phone, I replied in suprise that this didnt stop you from taking payments from me in the region of £5000 a time over the phone! again Mark said Company Policy I replied them post me a cheque, Mark replied we dont do that either and again asked me to come in, The way I was disrepected and that I was in obvious dicomformant and that Mark has no empathey or respect for his Customers that i would never set foot in that place again. I also said that my next project is a downstairs wet room and that I would certainly not be purchasing the materials from them. He eventually resolved and made a phone payment. By this stage, I think he realised that I would rather let the £317 go than go to Trade Bathrooms again.
Whilst I believe in supporting Local Independent businesses, I certainly would not recommend Trade Bathrooms, not for their products or Sales, just that the attitude of their Manager, who has no loyalty or is blind to the obvious. He can only quote Company Policies, which have just been implemented with no prior thought or communication.
Great customer service
Called up for some help on the difference between to types of bath - the man I spoke to (so sorry I’ve forgotten your name!) was really helpful. I placed an order online within minutes and it was going to be delivered on the Friday, I realised as soon as I’d organised the delivery date that I was out on Friday but I needed it for the weekend. The two men I spoke to went above and beyond to see if a Saturday delivery was possible. The system wasn’t showing a Saturday delivery but they managed to sort it for me at no extra cost, and it arrived nicely on the Saturday morning. Thank you!

Where do you start when there is so much wrong
Our dream bathroom has been more of a nightmare with issues still outstanding over a year later. The fitter that was advised we used (Daryl) don’t touch with a bargepole! Everything delivered on time. The ceiling boards had one broken in half. The tiles had ones chipped. The toilet got replaced twice and we were left without over a weekend. The shower screen was fitted wrong and still leaks. The floor tiles have already got cracked grout that we are still waiting for repair. When you email it takes several for replies. The fitter (Daryl) never gets back to you. We paid 4k for faulty bathroom items and 4.5k to hear more about his entire life rather than his workmanship and I would seriously avoid his Daryl’s electrician as he told me he’s sure he’s a drug dealer (his words not mine). There is more but I feel this information should be more than enough to redirect people to a reputable company.

Brilliant showroom. Staff extremely helpful and very patient with 2 old codgers who were certainly not up to speed with modern bathrooms and fixtures. Helped to design the ensuite bathroom and order everything. We were kept fully informed at all stages delivery and fitting were at the dates stated.
Fitting was carried out efficiently, the fitters being most fastidious, keeping us informed and consulted throughout. Cleaned up every day and just left a superb bathroom at the end. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I brought my bathroom a year ago from Trade Price Bathrooms. It was a good price, and Gavin (who i beleve is the Director) was extremely helpful whilst I was trying to figure out what I needed. My parts arrived on time with just a couple of issues. A couple of the wrong parts were sent, but replaced quickly. These things happen.
The issues came after my bathroom was fitted. My sink overflow started to go black within a matter of weeks and my 'brushed brass' shower started peeling off. I contacted Trade Prices and couldn't get through. I left tens of messages. No one got back to me.
I emailed. No one got back to me. After days and many hours of trying and leaving messages, I got a reply and was told I'd get a replacement part. Nothing came. I waited for weeks being told story after story and eventually received replacement parts that I had to pay to get fitted. I asked Gavin if he'd cover the cost and was told via email that I was deluded. He was so rude to me that I didn't even know quite how to respond.
At this point I contacted Trading standards who had told me that he was in fact liable for the cost. My replacement overflow arrived and went black again within days, and again I had to phone to get another replacement. 3 of the same overflows later and its still the same bad quality.
I suggested then giving me a different brand and have since emailed again because my new shower part started peeling again and I've not heard back.
My assumption is that the Company have grown too quickly and just don't have the resources to offer after sales support and are so overstretched snd overwhelmed that customers are suffering. My recommendation would be to spend the money hiring a dedicated after sales team who are good with people and for Gavin not to deal with the after sales at all. He clearly gets very stressed and then as a by product, is extremely rude and unhelpful.
To conclude, 12 months on, my bathroom already looks awful. Cheap and showing so many signs of wear. I told Gavin about the shower months ago and of course I didn't hear back. I will reluctantly cut my losses and not waste any more energy trying to find a resolution, but be warned.. its not a Company I would recommend or ever use again.

I would definitely recommend trade bathrooms in Castleford. I didn’t have a clue what I wanted before entering the show room but the guys that I’ve spoken to on a few different occasions were all very friendly and helpful. Everything was well explained.
Ryan and Niall came to fit the bathroom and it looks even better than I thought it would. We all love it. I thought it would be a nightmare getting work done in winter but they didn’t cause any disruption at all and were very tidy whilst working. They were all lovely lads. Thank you to all of you.
AVOID THIS COMPANY
AVOID THIS COMPANY. They only sell, and then don’t actually do the job! And don’t give the refund! They were due to install bathroom at my guest house today, it was closed specifically for this. No one showed up, when called they said they no longer can fit it this week. I have no guests arriving with the bathroom on the hallway! They won’t take it away and refund either!
Avoid at all costs
This 'company' is no more than a collection of people who have no system to organise anything or pass on any information. There’s no specific person to contact and no one takes any responsibility or accountability.
We just had a bathroom installed through sheer determination and our own time, rather than any kind of service provided.
Upon delivery half of the bathroom products we‘d picked were wrong or missing (wrong bath, wrong lights, wrong toilet, missing fittings, no extractor fan etc). The guys who deliver it have no clue what’s going on and told us we had to pay for the goods even though a lot of it was wrong and they had to return it. We reluctantly did as we were up against it time wise and were told the rest of the items would be there the next day. Roll on the next day and no sign of it. Phoned the 'office' and were told the items would be there before the fitters arrived. They were due to arrive the next day and it looked like we would be delayed. Turns out tradestyle hadn't booked the fitters anyway so they turned up a day later than expected. I have to say that the fitters were good and did the best with what they were provided so can't fault them. They just get a text in the morning and told where to fit the bathroom with no prior details so I felt quite sorry for them.
Fitting day: we were told that the wet wall we picked could be fitted landscape but the fitter advised that wasn't the case and we could either fit it vertical or choose another wet wall. Phoned the office and again couldn't get in contact with anyone. Finally, the fitter phoned Andy at the warhouse and said we need new wet wall immediately to prevent a delay as they wouldn't be able to finish the job without it and they were on to another job on the Monday. Was told it wasn't possible to get the wet wall even by the next morning. I ended up having take time off to drive over the the office myself and load up the goods (there was also ceiling panels required and extra flooring).
The new wetwall then needed replaced as the batch we were given was two different colours so yet another delay. Had to wait until the next morning to get new wet wall replaced (even though we were told this wasn't possibly an hour before - waste of a journey for me).
The floor needed plywood which tradestyle hadn't accounted for so the fitters had to go and get this and fit it at an extra cost. This should have been taken into account when measuring up at the initial visit, not the fitters fault!
The fitters had to work the whole of the Saturday due to all of the delays which was good of them, but we had to move plans to accomodation this.
The bathroom is now fitted but I would not recommend this company in any way, shape or form. It's the worst experience I've ever had with any company of any kind.
We now still have the old bathroom and waste sitting in the front garden and even though we followed the instructions on the completion form (not worth the paper it's written on) it's been 9 days with the old bathroom sitting outside. Despite and email and 2 phone calls to the office I'm still no further forward in understanding when (or if) this will ever be picked up.
We've had no contact from the company at all unless we phone them, and even then it's just standard responses you get from the guy on the phone. No help, no answers and quite frankly the worst customer service I’ve experienced.

This is a review of Trade Bathrooms, Castleford, Leeds. I noticed a couple of reviews for other companies on here. If you are going to leave a bad review, at least make sure it’s the right company!! Trade Bathrooms. Not TRADE POINT / STYLE / OR PRICE BATHROOMS!!
My wife and I attended the showroom in Savile Road, Castleford. We had an idea of what we were looking for but the sales person was so dismissive and rude!
I would definitely not recommend Trade Bathrooms. Castleford. Leeds.

Avoid this company
Got a sales advisor come out to the house & measured bathroom. Advised they would open up my wall to expose the window that was already there & put a shower in. I was then advised privately a shower could not be put beside the window as the water would eventually rot it.. As I was wrongly advised in tge first place I cancelled the work with Tradestyle & requested my deposit back. I have been waiting for a refund of my deposit for 4 weeks now & keep getting told it will be in my account.. have called them 8 times but have still not received £100 deposit yet. Total joke of a company & would tell you anything to get the sale.. avoid like the plague!!

Flooded Bathroom
Had my wet room bathroom installed a couple of months ago and all seemed fine and I was delighted with the end result with the exception of I did not need a heater towel rail but wanted a led mirror the Salesman who seemed to know what he was all about got my order wrong and he is supposed to be there best Salesman they fitted a new heated towel rail which was inferior to the on I already had and I had to keep on calling them everyday to get my mirror after the threat of legal action they delivered my mirror but guess what it does not light up it is broken then on Boxing Day my bathroom flooded due to a blown pipe fitting under the sink not only the bathroom was full of water in all ran into my hall, hall cupboard and dining room no one was available to help me from Tradestyle Bathrooms on the mobile numbers I had I therefore had to call out an emergency plumber which was not cheap I posted all of this in their Facebook Page a guess what they have deleted my posts and blocked me from their page any decent Company would have contacted me and tried to resolve my situation they are a shocking Company who in my opinion should not be trading and I am taking action against them CF Quarter Hamilton
