These are heartless information thieves who have somehow got hold of legitimate pet microchip details as well as owner identification. Don't fall for their low life tactics. Even when I challenged them they insisted I had signed up to the service. I have asked them for proof of that, which of course I won't receive as I had never heard of them before they emailed asking me to renew registration of a microchip for my cat who died 2 years ago.

Had an email. Googled it... oh dear. They really are the lowest of low aren't they?
Makes you wonder how they get your dogs name etc? Dodgy vets?

SCAM EMAIL - To renew as the chip has expired, which is not true.

This company emailed asking me to renew my registration and had all my details and a similar name to the DEFRA compliant database where my dog's chip is in fact registered. I had never registered with them. So glad I checked reviews on here, realised it was a scam and then found my original registration with Animal Tracker. Really hope they don't con any other pet owners. Thanks to everyone who left reviews alerting others to this scam

This is a SCAM. If your pet has been ID chipped that does not expire, it lasts for life. This company have got your details because they have registered as a bogus pet tracing service and can therefore access data bases that hold info about you, your pet, address etc. If I could score Zero I would. Luckily I did a bit of research so I didn't fall for it. Do a google search for 'Track A pet scam' and you'll find out the truth

I paid and then had a doubt and checked online. Alerted the bank and PayPal which we had used for the payment. The bank said they would stop the payment of £34.99,but managing to talk to PayPal took 2 days. Then we discovered that since the bank had frozen our main account PayPal had let Track A Pet use our secondary account. Another call to the bank revealed that there was also a monthly payment of £6.99 which they had also stopped. Weirdly the bank suggested we talk to Track a Pet to get our money back, which we did and got a refund!!! We started a scam report with PayPal and this morning got a message from them saying that they had no issue with the service Track A Pet supply!!!
Klarna here we come!

2 am call on my mobile demanding payment for their service.My labradoodle died 4 years ago but was named ,old address and a number given for microchip which has to be pasted into the reply with the fee !

I'm glad I figured out this was a scam before giving them money. These are the worst kind of scammers. I wish them ill.

This is a 100% scam. Do not get hooked in, they make it very easy to rob you. Would be interesting to know where people's information was stolen from?

Email came from an Anguilla email address and search confirmed that they are known scammers who have been operating this pet microchip scam for years. Do not give them any payment

Absolutely, shocking company
claimed that my animal was at risk because they were going to delete all my pets data. If I didn't pay 39.99 now that my pay would be at risk. Very sensationalist

turns out they're a company that have been well warned about on many, many sites just do a search and you'll see they're not real
when I replied to them and said i thought they were scamming me, they sent back some very, very vicious emails calling me Karen.

They really are quite nasty. I nearly lost money, they scare you into thinking that your database entry for your animal will disappear. This is not possible. Entry is protected by uk goverment. No money needed!

Dear trust pilot, this is a genuine review, and I am able to provide the emails which are very nasty from the company. Oh, also made light of and took the Mickey out of people with dyslexis in the most horrific way. I didn't have my glasses so i didn't check my spelling and was using a small screen, they used this to rip me to pieces. It was actually very vile. And had i been dyslexic, an offence under the disability discrimination act.

Use ai rather than people to send very , very nasty messages to anyone that dares to ask them if they are genuine or not , do not spend your money with this company , you will not get it back report report report

This scammer has all my details- accurate pet information etc. Luckily I am already well aware that microchips do not expire and didnt hit a link.

After payment I read the reviews, to my dismay, so I went back and asked for a refund as I thought it was a scam.
I received a full refund the next day.

Nearly got taken in to pay for the ‘expired microchip’ email. IT IS A SCAM AND SHOULD BE STOPPED! Unethical company!

Oh I very nearly like others here fell into the trap of paying to upkeep my pets microchip number..I got to payment,and i just had a niggling doubt in my mind that I did not have to my knowledge have any of my pets registered with any company called "Trackapet"..and i also knew once registered with a company its for life..my pets were registered at the same time,and only 1 pet name showed on the email,so i backpedalled and came here to see if there was a scam running and indeed there is..as others have said how the hell have these scamming SCUM got so many of our details?
It definately was one of the more convincing ones i've come across..I think people care so much for theyre animals they leap straight away to keep theyre registration,insurance & vet details up to date if there becomes an issue and thats what these maggots rely on!!
These SCUM want flogging with 1 inch thick whips dipped in fresh dog turd!
Karma is real..these scum will get theirs of that i'm certain.
