Thank you

Always helped me when need quick bit of money. Flexible when you have to pay them a couple days later due to pay days. Respond to emails quickly. If I need another loan in a month or two I am sure they will help me. Thanks money platform.

Absolutely fantastic company

Absolutely fantastic company. I have been hacked a d had to freeze all of my accounts the moved my payment dates to give me time to sort everything out. I am very grateful and would definitely recommend

They offered me money to change my review & I refused because everyone should know this before using their service!

**UPDATE**:
Many of their positive reviews are probably bought or changed from being negative through offering of money, as they attempted with me. Don't trust this company.

The response below from The Money Platform is dishonest as;

1) I was charged an exorbitant 80.80% interest over the loan term.

2) I was asked to pay nearly £900 over three months for a £500 loan, and I paid it off early.

3) I have all the emails and paperwork to prove this, and I will be posting on Google Reviews with screenshots.

Honestly, I would not recommend this company to anyone. They managed to have my first review taken down because it mentioned another lender that offers a better service. Also when I was contacted by them numerous times its was to ask me to change my review or delete it all together for money - no denail about any of the details of my loan, so unfortunately they have now shown they are also a dishonest company - definitely not one I would use again.

The interest rate I encountered was absolutely outrageous—80.80% over the loan term!

Honestly, I would never consider using them again. I was in a tough spot and felt desperate. If you're facing financial difficulties or navigating a rough patch, I strongly advise against turning to them because they take advantage of your circumstances. I instantly regretted choosing their loans once I realized how ludicrous the interest was.

They charged me nearly double the loan amount in just three months! Additionally, their policy only allows for full settlements—there's no option to make extra payments. If you settle early, there is an administrative fee of around £80.

There are definitely better lending options available that won't burden you with such ridiculous charges and will offer a fair interest rate regardless of your situation.

I settled my loan after the second month because the thought of repaying £900 for a £500 three-month loan was simply insane.

Save yourself the headache—look for other lenders! Unless you genuinely have no other choice, proceed with caution!

**UPDATE**: I was contacted by The Money Platform and offered money to change my review, which I refused. Consequently, they had my previous review taken down for mentioning better lending companies that treat customers fairly. I initially gave them two stars, but now I can only give them one star.

Thanks for your review. You are right that Trustpilot removed your previous review as it advertised another business. I am pleased we are now able to respond to your review.

Firstly we absolutely agree with you that our short term loans from The Money Platform are not appropriate for everyone. They are one-off loans that have been designed for UK based individuals with limited credit histories, they are not appropriate as a long term solution. Millions of people are excluded from mainstream finance in the UK and it is our goal to include them and to give our customers a regulated and safe way of obtaining credit from lenders within the UK. We go to great lengths to only lend to those we are confident are able to repay, so yes we absolutely agree that those in financial distress should not apply.

All of our loans are crowdfunded and we show extreme forbearance to anyone in financial difficulty. We have been recognized as an industry leader in credit assessing and providing lending options to those excluded from mainstream finance in the UK. In the last 12 months we have been shortlisted for Ethical Lender of the year and won the industry prize for Financial Inclusion.

We are working on tools to help our customers manage their money better and hope that these tools will help ensure that short term borrowing does become very much a 'one-off'. We share your concern about people borrowing on our platform when they cannot afford to do so.

A couple of specific comments on your review:
- You did not get charged 80.80%
- You did not pay £900 on a £500 loan
- All our fees are included in the interest rate you were shown when you applied, when you come to pay we split our fees out from what we send onto the lender who crowdfunded your loan, but this does not mean that you are paying an additional fee.

Your comments prompted a member of the team to contact you to check personally with you if you had overpaid as the amounts you have described were different from what was in your contract and what our system shows was processed we were keen to check a mistake had not been made. We weren't able to get information from you to back up the numbers shown in your review. We are extremely keen to put things right if you have been overcharged so to re-iterate my colleagues message to you - if you have been overcharged please contact us.

To give you more insight into our products:
- We have two products: a 2-3 month loan and a longer 12 month instalment loan.
- Our 12 month loan provides a lower interest rate and we often receive feedback that customers find that this product is cheaper than other loans they have received in the past.
- Our Short Term Loan does have a higher interest rate but this can work out cheaper than a longer loan as the period is shorter and so there is less time for interest to accumulate.

Our business was set up with the goal of cutting interest rates for borrowers - through crowdfunding the loans and through innovative credit decisioning. Whilst interest rates for short term loans are high, the costs can be lower than longer loans as there is less time for interest to accumulate and there is no compounding of interest.

We very much agree with you that anyone wishing to take a financial product from anywhere, including on The Money Platform should proceed with caution.
