Homelike Ceased Trading

If someone from Homelike is reading this, I am meant to move into an apartment in Madrid on Monday, however, due to the platform shutting down, the landlord is asking me to pay the EUR 1.7k for the first month's rent that is being held by Homelike. They are threatening to cancel my booking if I do not pay. Please could someone contact me asap.

The pictures shown of the appartment were very similar to the real conditions found once moved in.

This website is a hoax, and it collaborates with fraudulent rental organizations such as Habyt. When I asked them to refund my first month's rent and deduct the service fee, they refused.

The apartment is well located, clean, lots of sunlight in the apartement, the bed is comfortable and the neiborghood is quiet considering we are in Paris. As for the rest, the apartement was supposed to be well equiped with an oven and a dishwasher, utensiles, all you need to cook a meal etc. In fact, there are no oven, no dishwasher, a small broken fridge, the TV is broken (there's a constant crackling sound) and no utensiles for cooking. As the apartement is for sale, Paris rental discharged themselves on the real estate agent to fix the issues. It took a week but the real estate agent came over and gave us a few utensiles he payed with is own money, he repared the kitchen hood and the kitchen faucet. However he couldn't repare the cupboard, the heating system that is on 24/24 and the the door handle of the front door.

Die Wohnung ist an sich sehr schön eingerichtet, alles da, was man benötigt und hat eine super Lage. Durch die im EG befindlichen Bars sind die Nächte leider sehr laut und schlafen ohne Ohropax ist nicht möglich. Eine Information über die Lautstärke bis teilweise morgens um 4 Uhr im voraus wäre angebracht gewesen.

The lease was supposed to start last Sunday. We tried to contact the person indicated in the confirmation email since last Thursday sending many emails (there was no contact phone) but received no response (they are at your disposal). We tried to contact you via phone on Saturday i.e. the day before the start of the lease - no response because you operate only MON to FRI 9-5 (!!). On Sunday arriving at the property there was no way to get in and the emergency phone we called replied there was no reservation on our name. On Monday we received a reply from the contact person to one of our emails saying that she was ill and wasn't able to check the emails (!). We moved in only on Monday i.e. with a one day delay.

Katherina offered to pay the fee for the hotel night on Sunday which is the absolute minimum. Homelike has responsibility because the booking service didn't work as promised and they failed to offer support. We expected compensation for no service and mental anguish, but they refused thay had responsibility.

Wucher Preise und das wisst ihr selber.
Ich möchte Klarstellen das sie die Wohnungen nicht annehmen müssen für diese Wucherpreise. Sie Bieten hier die Plattform daher 1 Stern.

Was Homelike in Freiburg i.Br. anbietet ist sagenhoft unverschämt. 11.000€ Warmmiete für 120qm, 6.900€ für 80qm oder 8.100€ für 90qm,.....
Diese geldgierigen "Vermieter" fluten Immobilienseiten, verknapen das Angebot von bezahlbarem Wohnraum und nutzen den Wohnungmangel für Wucherpreise. Ein Stren ist da leider noch zu viel - schade, dass keine negativen Werte möglich sind.

Diese überteuerten, AirBNB ähnlichen Miet-Immobilien führen nur zu noch höheren, unleistbaren Mieten. Zerstört den Immobilienmarkt auf Dauer. Man muss sich nur Portugal ansehen.

A bunch of liars between this company and the people they rely on in Spain, eleven host. They pretend to help you to get your deposit back but they actually do nothing. Robbers like nobody

Das Apartment auf den Bildern entspricht nicht dem eigentlichen Apartment.

Die Wohnung wirkt deutlich kleiner und bietet eine andere Ausstattung.
Statt eines Tisches, den ich unter anderem für Essen aber auch zum Arbeiten benötigt hätte, gab es nur Barhocker, die deutlich zu groß für die Küchenzeile waren.

Auch lag das Zimmer direkt am Eingang des Hauses, sodass man zu jeder Zeit die Personen, die gerade das Haus verlassen oder reingegangen sind, gehört hat und auch von lauteren Menschen mal mitten in der Nacht geweckt wurde. Da die Fenster auch direkt auf dieser Höhe waren, konnte man eigentlich nie ungestört sein und musste die Rollläden nach unten ziehen.

Ein besonderer Nachteil war, dass sowohl zu Beginn als auch nach ca. 2,5 Wochen das Warmwasser ausgefallen ist. Es dauerte beide Male mehrere Tage bis dieses repariert wurde und es wurde nur wenig mit mir darüber kommuniziert wie lange dieser Zustand dauert. Es wurden auch keine Hilfsmöglichkeiten angeboten.

Auch war die generelle Ausrüstung der Küche mehr als bedürftig. Es gab 3 Gabeln, 6 Messer und einige kleine und große Löffel. Die einzige Pfanne war so sehr zerkratzt, dass man sie nicht mehr benutzen konnte.

Neben Wasserkocher und Toaster war nur noch ein Bügeleisen als elektronisches Gerät vorhanden. Es gab keine Schäler für Gemüse oder Suppenteller.

In der Beschreibung stand etwas von 55 qm, Homeoffice Platz, Trockner sowie Fön und Kochutensilien. Diese Dinge sind einfach nicht vorhanden.

Generell musste ich sowohl beim Einziehen als auch zum Auszug nachhören, wie es abläuft. Als ich vor der Türe stand, wusste ich nicht, wo ich den Schlüssel bekommen würde.

Positiv ist, dass die Wohnung in einem sauberen Zustand war und auch wöchentlich Bettzeug und Handtücher gewechselt wurden und der Müll weggebracht wurde.

Bislang ist alles gut und in Ordnung.
Mietpreis + Kaution passen, der Kontakt mit den Vermietern positiv.
Der Mietvertrag und die Übergabe der Wohnug haben geklappt.
Die Wohnung ist wie auf den Fotos gezeigt.
