Users Beware!
I was attempting to download and install Advanced Driver Updater from the systweak website and as soon as I started installing the software my Bitdefender Total Security came up with the following message:
"Bitdefender detected potentially malicious behavior and blocked all applications involved.
Detection ID: suspiciousBehavior.B604E3AB4798EF6A"
26 applications were blocked, including 2 pieces of malware with systweak's name on them!
Draw your own conclusions - caveat emptor.

Please note all of our products are thoroughly tested and are free form any kind of infections.
I understand your concerns that as a user of our product this may create a doubt in your mind.
However, I would like to assure you that this is a false positive. I suggest you disable Bitdefender on a temporary basis and then download Advanced Driver Updater from the official website.
Once the product is downloaded and installed, add the .exe file of our program to the Ignore list of Bitdefender.
If you need any help with that, please do let me know, I will be happy to provide you with the steps to do so.

This software obviously is a scam
This software obviously is a scam. The developers have web subdomains configured so that searches for other de-duplication software, such as dupeGuru, go to the Duplicate Files Fixer site. They're the first search result returned, and the headline calls the application Dupe Guru (not dupeGuru). If Systweak is that unethical about marketing their software, I don't want to think about what might happen if you install it on your system. I wouldn't count on their "money back guarantee," either. I downloaded the app, which also is in the MS Store, but I realized the con before I installed it.

2. Name of the website or exact URL of the website from where you purchased this product.
3. Name of the seller/merchant on your credit card statement.

scam!!!!
scam!!!!! once you pay this and run the scan to retrieve your lost files, it shows your files but after you try to hit the active button to get the files back a popup comes up and states you now need to pay another 70.00 bucks, what a scam, contacted my bank immediately and they are disputing and holding the charge. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! will also report to the BBB
Update they did give me a refund promptly. They need to be more clear on directions and extra charges.

Einfache Belastung meiner Kreditkarte. Eigentlich sollte das gar nicht möglich sein, ohne das ich eine Abbuchung mittels Sicherheitscode und Tan bestätige.
Ich habe die Software von einem Jahr gekauft und von einem Abo war keine Rede, bzw. vieleicht auch übersehen. Jedenfalls macht ihr es einem nicht leicht das zu kündigen.

As I discovered, reading other TrustPilot reviews, the practice of selling you a substandard, crippled product at a reduced price without warning you, then requiring you to upgrade to the full product before you can make effective use of the version you have already paid for, seems to be Systweaks' disreputable way of doing business, IMHO. Others have called it a SCAM. I agree.
Checking further I discover that instead of the 50% "come on" discount originally offered, you are actually paying a 56% premium, once the premium demanded for the "upgrade" of £23.96, has been paid.
I also discovered in very small print that a not previously mentioned "auto-repeat" annotation has been added, indicating that your seeming one-time payment has been converted into a non-consensual annual subscription. Houdini would have been proud of such sleight of hand.
IMHO, that makes Systweak the most disreputable company it has ever been my misfortune to encounter. Avoid like the plague.
Re the Systweak response
The usual, bland reassurances and half truths. As to "without the consent of the customer and without his true knowledge" you only have to read the reviews to see how many customers have been misled. As to "Also, all of our products are subscription-based and it is clearly mentioned on the checkout page", not so much a half truth, but a deliberate misrepresentation IMHO. As already explained a "very small print, not previously mentioned, "auto-repeat" annotation is the only indication thereof. A million miles away from full disclosure.
And to formally state the obvious: YES I do wish to CANCEL the subscription and would like a REFUND of 317.96 paid to date.

Sorry about the typo - I am using an unfamiliar keyboard. For 317.96 read £17.96, but I expect you guessed that, but couldn't resist the opportunity to once again plug Systweak rather solve the customer raised issue

In private emails I have been promised a full refund. Has it come ? Are you surprised when is say NO ?
The only reason I am back on this site is that I was checking out their PDF editor promotion, which sounds good. But as we already know Systweak are good a promoting their products, but their admin and follow up is TERRIBLE.

I posted earlier about my experience. I was very pleased with the quick response I received back about the problem I was having and it is now corrected. The program works great at recovering lost photos and even recovers them in a large size and retains the original file #. The only complaint I have is the inability to be able to put in a date range for the files you wish to recover instead of recovering everything that was on the SD card. Because of the screen that came up after showing the files that had been discovered (which included # and date), I was able to determine about how much recovery I needed to do then just stop it. Luckily I had just taken the photos a couple weeks back so I only had to recover about 150 files before stopping knowing my files would be there. I had gone to Help and it had indicated that I only needed to click on the file I wanted and it would be recovered. I did click on the first file I wanted and that's where it started recovering all of them to my external storage folder.

Won't activate
After reviewing different products, I decided to purchase Advanced System Optimizer, after installing the product I tried to activate and nothing happens. After a long wait a message pops up on the screen saying it can't connect. I have tried to contact support with no help. Also after uninstalling the product I am taken to a page where I can get 50% off the product I have already paid full price for!

Just another software scam. It will tell you that you have 12 outdated drivers and it can fix then easily once you buy the software. But it does tell you at the download that it is free. SCAM.
