Do not go with this law firm for a residential transaction. You will regret it if you do. They cannot seem to give timelines, they pass over the work to junior lawyers who cannot seem to get sign a document over 2+ weeks and hold up transactions without any definite timeline or a valid reason. They will be a bottleneck in the whole sales process so do yourself a favour and DO NOT appoint this solicitor. During the whole process they have changed the case handler more then 3 times causing delays. I would give them a negative rating if I could. I have never come across such a terrible law firm who cannot seem to provide timelines despite various parties from buyers to agent contacting them every single day!

They will lie about the status of the case and they will misinform different parties and internally keep moving the case handler. One of them seem to say they are waiting for a partners signature, 2 weeks later they claim that the report is still underway. I cannot understand how solicitors like this exist!!!!

If you have the unfortunate match up of Louis Roach helping you, you may want to find a different company. He was unresponsive to emails, often taking weeks to reply. I even had to call the business a few times to ask him to reply to my emails. The good part of the company is everyone else I dealt with.

The lack of effort, care, and respect of time and my case was unbelievable. I honestly don't understand how they are still in business given their apathy and amount of leave they take. Do not waste your time or money here. Find a group who actually care about the work and are on the ball. These guys are a joke.

Having just completed our house purchase, I can honestly say that Anthony and the team at Sweeney Miller Law have been exceptional throughout.

I probably contacted Anthony what felt like almost every day asking for updates, yet every single time he remained professional, courteous, and patient. No question ever felt like too much trouble, and he always took the time to explain where we were in the process and offer practical advice to help us understand the next steps.

We also visited the office on several occasions and were always welcomed warmly. From the reception staff through to our solicitor, everyone we dealt with was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful.

A special mention also goes to Alicia, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. She spent time updating me over the phone, kept the case progressing where she could, and ensured the online portal reflected updates whenever possible. Her help was very much appreciated.

The only part of the process that we found frustrating wasn't Sweeney Miller Law at all—it was the Hoowla online portal. Like many people buying a house, I found myself constantly refreshing it hoping for an update. In the end, I installed a webpage change tracker that notified me whenever the progress percentage changed, which I would highly recommend to anyone using the portal. It saved me endlessly checking for updates!

Buying a house is naturally a stressful process, particularly when you're part of a long chain, but throughout everything Anthony and the team remained calm, approachable, and reassuring. We always felt that they were working hard, on our behalf and genuinely cared about getting us over the finish line.

I picked them for buying and selling but unfortunately my buyer dropped out and I had to pay high abortive fees
So make sure you read small print before going ahead with them!

I used Sweeney Miller for Conveyancing for a Sale and Purchase in January 2026. Having bought and sold several properties in the past, the service I received from Chloe Cheeseborough and Kolshuma Begum was distinctly superior to other firms I have used. They generally responded to my emails within 24 hours, and their knowledge and advice made a usually stressful process absolutely seamless. The online portal is also very easy to use and made sending and saving important documents very simple. I would definitely recommend Sweeney Miller, and will be using them again on my next Sale and Purchase.

We used Sweeney miller for our sale and purchase. They were professional, seemless, always happy to assist with any queries. If ever I decide to move again then I will be in touch. Amazing service and amazing team!

I felt the communication was poor throughout the purchase of our property and the member of staff we dealt with was not great for various reasons. We were given their details by the estate agents, who have now said they no longer recommend Sweeney Miller.

I've just taken the decision not to name staff or the Estate agent, but this is a fair and honest review.

Avoid at all cost, because what you will pay for is incompetence from Jade Kennedy and her superior Charlie Lynn, clearly both should be in other jobs as not fit for the appointed tasks at hand.
