Sun-Hat Villas made our holiday…
Sun-Hat Villas made our holiday unforgettable by providing first class service from booking our trip to on-site help. Sam in particular was extremely helpful, coming to see us on the day we checked in and was very supportive and responsive to any questions and issues raised on WhatsApp with her. The villa, pool and grounds were excellent, well appointed and everything we wanted from our holiday. This was the second time we booked that villa with Sun-Hat Villas who are very highly recommended. SHV also arranged private airport transfers for us and delivery and pick up of the hire car to the villa which suited us. Excellent service and the best I’ve ever had

Dorothea apartment
We stayed at Dorothea apartment, it was a very peaceful and comfortable stay. Everything you could possibly need was catered for, the best apartment we have ever stayed.

Would book with Sun-Hat again
Sun-hat were brilliant to book with, Adam was really helpful & responsive.
The villa was well maintained, clean & had everything we needed. Location was great really close to the beach & shops but quiet within a cul de sac of 7 villas.
Only thing to be aware of is shared drive and a couple living underneath the property if wanting complete privacy

Just back from a short trip to Portugal using Sun Hat Villas. This is the second time we have booked with them and can’t recommend them enough. Great communication from booking right up until you arrive. Nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely use again.

Beautiful villa for big group
Beautiful villa, great pool & pool area.
Beds were extremely comfortable & bed linen was top quality.
Plenty of space for everyone to sit & eat.
Very easy booking process & our rep Charlie was very helpful, arranging for an early check-in and late check-out which was great.

Please be cautious…
We booked through Sun-hat Villas because of their reputation and recommendations from friends who have used them for years. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to those expectations.
The apartment we stayed in, Apartment Myla in Vale do Lobo, was not presented as advertised. On arrival, we found out-of-date food and drinks left in the fridge, food remaining in the freezer, which was heavily iced over, and the apartment had clearly not been cleaned to an acceptable standard. There was a razor left in the shower, dirt and marks in the bathroom, dead insects around the bedroom window and a broken bedroom blind that could not be fully closed.
Several facilities advertised on the listing were either unavailable or not functioning correctly. The bedroom TV was unusable throughout our stay, despite it being reported. The WiFi did not work on arrival and, although eventually restored, did not provide coverage throughout the apartment. The advertised midweek towel change and light clean were never carried out.
Perhaps most disappointing was that one of the apartment’s main selling points, the private terrace, was significantly reduced by a large covered golf buggy permanently stored on it. This was not shown in the photographs or mentioned anywhere in the property description, yet it made the terrace unsuitable for relaxing, sunbathing or entertaining as we had planned.
We reported the issues promptly during our stay. While one issue was partially addressed, most remained unresolved. Following our return, we submitted a detailed complaint with supporting photographs. We were advised that an investigation could take up to 28 days, despite having another Sun-hat booking due for payment within days. When we explained that this had understandably affected our confidence, we were simply referred to the booking terms rather than offered a practical solution.
Our disappointment is not based on one isolated issue. It is the combination of the condition of the property, the difference between the listing and reality, the lack of follow-through after the issues were reported and the handling of the complaint that has left us feeling let down.
Based on this experience, we would not book through Sun-hat Villas again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're genuinely sorry to hear that Apartment Myla did not meet your expectations, as this is never the experience we want our guests to have.
During your stay, our resort representative, Tina, was made aware of the Wi-Fi issue, which was resolved immediately, the TV, which you advised was not causing you any inconvenience, and the razor left in the shower, which should not have been missed during preparation. We sincerely apologise for that oversight.
The missed mid-stay clean was an error on the part of the local property management company, and we have arranged for the cost of this service to be refunded.
Unfortunately, we were unable to address the other issues detailed with the owner's property management team as they weren't brought to Tina's attention whilst you were in resort. Had we known, we would have endeavoured to resolve them as quickly as possible.
We completely understand that experiences like this can affect your confidence, particularly with another holiday booked. While each of our properties is independently owned and managed, we appreciate your concerns and hope we can restore your confidence by delivering the high standard you rightly expect on your next stay.
We take all feedback seriously, as it helps us work with our local partners to continually improve. Whilst it's disappointing that your experience fell short on this occasion, we appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention and hope we'll have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future.

Very good company to book through
Very good company to book through. The service is excellent. You also have a designated rep whilst at the property who is on hand to assist via WhatsApp. I have used sun hat before and will definitely use again

Excellent return visit
Our second visit this year was equally as good if not better than the first visit, the patio furniture had been ungraded thanks to the efforts of Richard and rest of the support team. The service by Sun Hat is excellent during the booking process and during the holiday. Again Richard the Rep was excellent, on hand if or when needed, he kept in touch during the visit, good service. We are looking forward to a return visit in September

Fantastic villa with beautiful grounds and pool. We were 6 adults a baby and two year old . The accommodation was great for everyone. Great location as you don’t need a car and can walk to. Carvoeiro which has lots of good restaurants (a very steep hill home )
I found sun hat villa extremely efficient and they answered all my enquiries in a short time . I particularly liked we had a representative while we were there and could contact by WhatsApp for any problems

We have just returned from a wonderful family holiday in Portugal and I cannot recommend Sun Hat Villas highly enough.
From the moment we booked, the service was exceptional. We received a 10% discount on our initial booking, which was a lovely start, but it was the level of communication and support throughout that really stood out. Every query was answered promptly, clearly and professionally, making the entire process completely stress-free.
One of the standout features was the Sun Hat Villas app, which was incredibly useful during our stay. It was packed with recommendations for local beaches, restaurants, bars, attractions, family-friendly activities and nearby amenities. It felt like having a local guide in your pocket and helped us make the most of every day.
The villa itself exceeded our expectations. It was spotless, secure, well-maintained and perfectly suited to families. The air conditioning was excellent (a must in the Portuguese heat!), and the location could not have been better. Everything we needed was within easy reach, yet the villa still felt private and peaceful.
What impressed us most was the attention to detail and the genuine care shown by the Sun Hat Villas team from beginning to end. Booking a family holiday can sometimes feel daunting, but they made the entire experience effortless.
We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Sun Hat Villas again and will happily recommend them to family and friends. Thank you for helping us create such wonderful memories. See you next year!

Sun-hat Villas & Resorts were a fabulous company to book with and made everything easy from start to finish of our holiday.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa at Four Seasons Fairways in Quinta do Lago which was lovely. The accommodation was spacious, clean and had a lovely outside area and own pool. Fairways is a fabulous resort with great amenities and a lovely restaurant and bar with extremely friendly staff.
I would highly recommend booking with Sun-hat.
