Random colours sent
Sold supposedly black slate tiles but when they arrived half of them were black and half were grey. It ended up looking very very stupid. I know stone fluctuates in colour but don’t state black slate if you’re actually selling grey. I bought some for my kitchen from mandarin stone and they were all the same colour. So I know this company says stone fluctuates but that’s just their way to cover there back when they send you different colour products. Wish I had gone with mandarin stone instead who sell slate which is the same colour. Such a shame!

As slate is a natural product, variations in tone and colour are to be expected. Slate can also vary depending on its source, so products from different suppliers may not be directly comparable. We do our best to show these natural variations in the photographs on our website to help customers make an informed choice.

We’re very sorry to hear that the sample was disappointing and apologise for the frustration caused.
We completely understand that with some of our multi-tonal and highly varied tiles, a small sample may not fully represent the complete colour variation and character of the tile. We appreciate how important it is to see the full tonal range before making a decision.
Had we been contacted, we would have been more than happy to provide additional cut samples or, where possible, a full tile sample to give a better representation of the overall colour variation.
We’re sorry we didn’t have the opportunity to assist you further on this occasion, and we appreciate your feedback.

Amazing experience dealing with The Stone & Tile company from start to finish. It was a small project tiling my front path and chose the black and white mosaic design with a border and corners. Working out the amounts was a little tricky but after sending the dimensions Linda from Customer Services replied with the amount of corners, borders, tiles, adhesive and grout required ( pretty much spot on too).
Prompt delivery (3 days) via a small pallet delivery firm. Top quality tiles received and I’m extremely impressed with the finish.
It’s not very often unfortunately that you receive this kind of customer service these days but this company has exceeded expectations on all elements.
Highly recommended.

Choose my tile colour and style. they arrived free within a few days. I absolutely love them and will be ordering them for my new shower room. Having the physical tile allows you to check the colour at different times of the day and with paint colours and hardware.

Much better choice, value and quality than the chain stores. Brilliant sample service. Easy to use website helps you to choose a selection of different tiles, including guidance on complimentary options. Having videos and also seeing in the tiles in different project is really helpful. Tiles samples arrive well packaged and are easy pop into the bathroom/shower room so you can see how the colours and textures work in situ.
Have made our choices, although it was tricky as they were all gorgeous, and will be putting in an order. Looking forwards to seeing them in our new home and enjoying them for years to come.
