This company isn't worth rating (I wish they had a zero option). Their name contradicts their appalling service (didn't make me feel 'so special'). What a joke!! I sure wish I had seen this forum before ordering.

I ordered an item at the beginning of November and have still not received it or a refund! All I have had is apologetic emails about how they are swamped with Christmas orders. Lol. I have been making some enquiries and the best course of action would be for all of us to register a complaint with Consumer Direct and then Trading Standards will be forced to investigate this bogus company. We should also inform Watchdog as this will make a great story with Christmas looming and more people shopping online and falling victim to fraudsters like So Special. It will make a Watchdog (So) Special!!

I placed my order for 2 x Eyesentials on 03/11/2010 and my credit card was debited the sum of £48.99. I bought these as Christmas gifts. As at today 05/12/10, my order has yet to be fulfilled. I cancelled my order a few days ago, and yet no monies have been refunded to my credit card. Because I spent <£100 I doubt I am covered by credit card chargeback. I have had no response to my e-mails to the company. Order Ref: 6872301. I have now 'googled' the company and seen an overwhelming volume of negative feedback/ratings from other customers; I so wish I had done this before I placed my order. I do so much shopping online, and this is the first time I've been 'ripped off'. I hate leaving this company even one star - it deserves nothing.
Please, please, please do not risk your hard-earned cash by giving it to these scammers.

I placed an order with this company last week and the order kept saying outstanding. Tried to ring company and to no avail got no answer to the number on website. Tried emailing the company and my emails got returned. Have asked for a refund for my order and have heard nothing back yet. Wish I had of read these reviews first.

I have had the same experience a every other reviewer on here. Money taken out right away and goods not in stock. Have had 3 replies same as everyone elses. I have sent 4 enquiries within the last 6 days and guess what NO REPLY. They are still online, still taking orders and pocketing peoples money. Has anyone ever received anything from this so called company. Who can I officially complain to as this can just not continue.
I only found this site through google search engine Too Late unfortunately. Even the replies from so special on this site are all the same, promising people refunds but it seems to no avail. THIS HAS TO STOP.

The items were not in stock yet I had to contact the company to be told of this. I asked for a refund which they promised to do a month ago quoting a longer time than their website does. I'm still waiting for a refund and am emailing them angry letters every day. Do not buy anything from this website it is not worth the hastle!

i have order from them before reading the reviews ,big mistake , the same story, product out of stock, so i cancelled the order , no response, no refund, im going to report them, they should be closed down!!!

I would not rate this company AT ALL, I ordered some Fake Bake & have neither received the product or a refund despite countless e-mails & promises...DO NOT purchase from this site

eyesential, same story as lots of other people, shame i never read reveiws first, exactly the excuses as others have said, i ordered on the 29/10/10, not told it was out of stock, soon took money though, still nothing, i have asked for my money back, so i had better get it, very soon

Unfortunately did not find this website before using sospecial. Have been waiting since August 5th for order costing nearly £60.00. All I've received are numerous polite apologies. Why are they allowed to trade? Am going to ask Trading Standards for advice.

Bought from So Special because it was a featured site on Ebay and they claimed to dispatch the same day, after a month I got sick of their excuses and requested a refund, after a further six weeks of emailing them I gave up and claimed my money back from the credit card company as I had spent over £100.
Ebay didn't want to know when I complained they were continuing to feature such a dodgy company.

I ordered 2 bottles of eyesential on the 26th of september...i am still waiting!!!! i have e mailed on numerous occasions and received about 3 replies many days later saying they were sorry but out off stock,,then its now in stock so will be on its way!! still never received anything so am now about to go to my bank and see what can be done..have asked for a refund but have heard nothing,,If only i had taken the time to read the reviews first i wouldnt have touched the company or whatever they are...with a barge pole...they owe me 50 pounds and i am now out to get it back!!!!!

I PLACED AN ORDER ON 15/7/2010, MY CARD WAS DEBITED IMMEDIATELY WITH £37.49 AND TO DATE, 23/11/2010 I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED THE GOODS. I HAVE SENT SEVERAL E MAILS & GET REPLIES CONFIRMING THAT THE STOCK IS NOW IN OR THE REFUND HAS BEEN MADE, BUT NOTHING MATERIALISES. I HAVE LEFT NUMEROUS PHONE MESSAGES WHICH ARE NEVER ANSWERED. AVOID THIS COMPANY, THEY WERE QUICK TO TAKE MY MONEY, BUT HAVE NOT SENT THE GOODS.

This company stole my money , I placed my order and never got my goods. the only thing i got was a few emails giving my a sob story about they are out of stock. now they wont even answer my emails and wont give me my money back. Stay well clear.

My story is the same as all the other reviews regarding this site.

I placed an order and they took the money straight away but never ever delivered the good even after all the promises by email that they would. They had lots of excuses about delayed stocks etc but it is all just words.

However I put the matter in the hands of my banks fraud department and had a refund within a week.

I suggest if you have the same problem with this site, keep all your emails, contact your bank and let them sort it out.

Sites like this should be shut down.

I would rate this site as a minus, total fraudsters..

Just like all the other reviews i ordered without looking at these reviews, i thought with the website advertizing on tv it must be ok i was very wrong i ordered my item 4weeks ago a couple of wks later i thought something must be wrong as they advertize same day dispatch.
I emailed the company and the reply was due to low prices etc we have sold out more will be comming this comming week if i would like to wait, i said i would. Then i saw these reviews emailed them back asking for a refund and have been ignored no refund no order £25 out of pocket i still hope i will recieve a refund but not holding my breath how this company has got away with this i dont know im going to wait another week untill i contact trading standards i only work part time £25 to me is a lot to throw away :(

This company is just out to fleece unsuspecting customers who believe when they order that they might actually get their order delivered. In reality they take your money and do not send the product to you. I have complained to Trading Standards in Cardiff and also sent So Special a copy of my email today and I will continue to complain to them and whoever is appropriate until I either get my order or have a refund. After waiting a whole month my order seemed to be delivered but not to my full address and surprise, surprise nothing has dropped through my letterbox!! They are refusing to answer my emails or return my telephone messages, which any reputable company would do immediately. If So Special read this review my order number is 6871726 and maybe you would like to do the right thing and either refund my credit card or sent me the product.

THIS COMPANY IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I ORDERED 7 XEN-TAN PRODUCTS IN MAY AND 6 MONTHS LATER I STILL HAVE NO PRODUCTS AND NO REFUND. AS SOON AS I PLACED MY ORDER THE £73.72p CAME STRAIGHT OUT OF MY ACCOUNT, AFTER CONUTLESS EMAILS TO AND FROM THEM SAYING MY PRODUCTS WERENT IN STOCK I THEN ASKED FOR A REFUND AS 3 MONTHS WAS A LONG ENOUGH WAIT BUT STILL AFTER A FURTHER 3 MONTHS I HAVENT RECIEVED MY REFUND. THE PHONE NUMBERS ALOAD OF RUBBISH, NOBODY EVER ANSWERS AND THE EMAILS ARE THE SAME RUBBISH OVER AND OVER AGAIN. IVE TOTALLY HAD ENOUGH OF IT, IM FED UP WITH IT ALL AND WISHED I READ THIS SITE BEFORE I ORDERED ANYTHING. I ordered some fake tan in August and was only told it was out of stock after they had taken my money. They asked if I wanted to wait for the product to come in or to have a refund. I opted for a refund and have been waiting since then for my refund! I have sent numerous e-mails to which they reply that they cannot understand what has happened and will look into it. Yeh - right! I am sick of then hanging on to my money! I am in business myself and cannot believe that they are still being allowed to trade with all these complaints. I will be contacting Trading Standards.

DO NOT ORDER FORM THESE ..... orederd on the 22nd september still no product i have now asked for a re-fund after god knows how many e.mails i have sent to the "not so special team" just wish that i had have read this before hand as i have now lost £36.00, i am going to go to the trading standards as they can not keep getting away with this! they need shutting down before anyone else orders from them especially with it coming up to christmas! they dont even deserve a 1 star rating its disgusting! shocking to think that people can do this!
