My brother dealt with another previous guy from SodaStream at customer service, and he was totally useless. He never replied to any emails received, never answered the phone, and if he did occasionally answer, he was rude and not helpful at all, as the only thing on his mind was that he wanted to go back to the UK, according to my brother. I was told that I will most probably have the same shitty experience which I dreaded, but WOW, what an amazing guy Mike is. Mike is so very friendly, helpful and guided me very politely through the whole process, staying calm and professional. He even replied to my emails, informing me of the steps to be taken and how things will work the way forward. Totally, the experience I was not expected, as with my brother. Well done, Mike. Keep up the great work, and may you get a promotion, as long as you stay in customer service, please! It was absolutely fantastic to deal with you.

Your representative, Nqoba Michael Magwaza, was outstandingly helpful when I sought advice about spares for the Model 30 Sodastream which is obsolete. He described how we could easily get an upgrade to a Model 60 at an amazingly good exchange deal and guided me through the process. Service of this quality is very seldom encountered now in South Africa.

Mike was extremely helpful regarding our swop/purchase of our new Soda Stream Model. He gave us wonderful service. And then we went to the Soda Stream offices and met Dawn and Craig. What awesome people and what awesome service! Thank you guys

My enquiry was dealt in a professional manner. Mike provided advice and a detailed e-mail that provided all the necessary information.

My request was dealt with extremely quickly with immediate responses and professionalism. Very impressive.

The last four Sodastream gas bottles that I bought at three different SPAR franshises in Port Elizabeth, South Africa (1 at Superspar Walmer, 1 at 5ways Spar and 2 from Waterfront Superspar in Humewood) were empty or nearly empty.

The bottle says: “makes up to 45 litres” - so misleading!

I am lucky to get 5 litres out of a gas bottle.

Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

I contacted Sodastream South Africa through their Facebook page to ascertain whether they are having a problem with their Model 60 cylinders, but they did not bother to reply.

Sadly it has to be back to recycling those awful plastic bottles that I have been trying so hard to avoid.

Sodastream seemed like a solution, but it is not.
