How can I update my Speed Alert Pro in Australia I am happy with device however do not appear to be able to update anymore here in Australia

Had S8000 for almost 10 years. Brilliant device. Brilliant company.
This is not the same company. Snooper were bought out by the road angel group a few years ago.
So " Snooper " stopped supporting these old devices so I bought the s6900. Problems from day1 . Device was slow to update the route which meant in busy areas it'd get confused, reroute and then just totally confuse me. Not ideal when youre driving a 40ft lorry around London. Plus it refused to go through the wallasey tunnel even though my height was set right, along with all other parameters. So I returned the unit. Apparently it was " reset " and then returned to me. Still with the same issues.
The call centre is based in Asia somewhere. The staff have been all trained to speak slowly, quietly and politely.... and to never put you through to a manager. They will politely refuse to refund your money but will " absolutely sort this issue out for you sir" ( I swear they have a cloning machine of the same guy somewhere). They will also lie to you, saying they don't have the ability to transfer you to the UK office , or a manager. Both I know to be true because I have been . They will tell you a manager will call you back which they won't.
In the end I refused to get off the line until I was put through to a manager. Eventually this guy came on and was instantly stand- offish and arrogant. Non apologetic also. Reluctantly he agreed to upgrading my device. I said that would be great, but I was very dissatisfied with how Snooper seems to now be conducting their business saying " I know the history of Snooper..." at which point he rudely said " no you dont"
In a very arrogant manner.
I told him I was recording this message. He then said " that's illegal ( it isn't. Look it up. Its not illegal to record a conversation if its for your own use and neither are you obliged to inform the 3rd party) and hung up on me.
Emails were exchanged. I wrote a Trustpilot review on SNOOPER SERVICES. I received and email then saying they would only upgrade me if I changed my review and delete the recording. ( if they deny this I'll post a copy) . When I didn't agree to this as it was unethical for a company to bribe their customers and wouldn't be a truthful account, they then reneged on their offer as I wouldn't agree .
Absolutely disgusting , unprofessional behaviour.

I had the s8000 for TEN years. It never once put me wrong. So reliable and the customer is absolutely brilliant. You'll talk to someone who actually knows the product! I loved the s8000 so much I've only just replaced it. Only because it's not supported any longer. I tried one of the other brands ( sounds like Tim-Tim) and it was ATROCIOUS! So went back to my old S8000. I got in touch with Snooper and told them I was reluctant to part with my s8000. It felt like a trusted friend. And despite the unit not being supported any longer they sent me an SD card with updated maps and FULL Euro maps for free! It's now masking taped to my dash ( the holder broke and cant get one for this model any longer) and its so old not I think it's got Altzeimers as if you switch it off it can't remember the last address so you have to reprogram it. Yet STILL it's leagues better than Tim-Tum . It'll be a sad day indeed when it finally gives up the ghost but it's been fantastic value for money.

I unfortunately had an issue with upating the maps on my S900 and had to make contact with their Customer Services for a way forword. They were execellent in getting me to try various things but eventually it ended up with the best option for me being to purchase a new micro card with the latest maps preinstalled. Part of their process is to offer a discount once the old card was returned to them. The returned card went awry but once an investigation was completed I was able to receive a refund without any fuss, a sign of a Company that looks after its customers.

Got in touch with a snooper and the info i was given was spot on.reply to my problem was quick and what i wanted answered, problem sorted.

The Snooper works really well. Maybe sometimes a bit different than other brands, but that's mostly in a good way. They're problem free so far. The updates are sometimes a bit slow, but most of the times fine. Our drivers aren't complaining and using them so that's the most positive thing of all.

i been in the transport all my life, been using snooper since the early 2000s then went on to dashcam too, i always recommend snooper truckmate/ hgv/psv satnavs on many truck/coach web sites, the satnavs are way ahead of any other make that tried to copy it and snooper being the first (and in my view) the best large vehicle satnav, also way ahead in speed camera site/data.

Purchased my Snooper 1 year ago and have used it probably once or twice a week since that time, apart from one or two occasions where the device did not recognise postcodes, I have found it to be extremely useful and on the whole, I have been very pleased with the product.

Heb een Snooper S 2700 vanwege mijn caravan, heb hem gekocht via de ACSI en bevalt goed. Laats wilde ik een update doen en lukte dat niet, heb toen contact gezocht en mij is toen verteld dat ze konden dat ik recht had op een update en hebben me toen verder geholpen in het proces, TOP

All I can say that it does absolutely everything that it is supposed to do, a welcoming Snooper Sat nav.

This is my second Snooper Bus & Coach sat nav and I find it to be accurate and gives good warning of lanes etc. The only issue I had was the charger stopped working pretty soon after I had it but the tech team at Snooper sorted this in good time.

Purchased a new snooper for my Hyundai i20N from Halfords, Faulty. They do not do snooper anymore. So went to Amazon bought one there FAULTY returned it to them. Got out series one snoopers with lifetime updates. That I had put away some time ago. GUESS what the lifetime updates have been removed by Snooper. What a company , So now have 3 useless series one snoopers. Cannot recommend Snooper to anyone. Only decent ones that worked were the series one snoopers, BUT as I have said they have removed the lifetime updates from them forcing you to buy the updated versions that do not work from the box.

seems snooper need more information. What more can I give I have a series 2 that seems to be working OK. Series 1 in my smart car in my wifes Tuscon, and a series 1 in my motorhome ALL were with lifetime updates but now will not update. IMO a con re lifetime updates. Lifetime updates mean lifetime imo.

I have used snoopers for a number of years now. I have no intention of changing the brand I buy. My snooper dash cam has been going for a good while and works a treat never letting me down I get all the valuable alerts. However, technology moves on these days at a pase. It will soon be time for me to invest and replace my dash cam. I find mine to be my loyal traveling companion, it's easy to use a god send for sure. It's a valuable system helping me to drive safely keeping me reminded of speed warnings and giving a direct route to my destination. Would I be without a Snooper of course not.

We recently purchase a large twin axle caravan and I was worried about my cars satnav taking me down roads unsuitable for larger vehicles.

I bought a Snooper S6900 SatNav which is brilliant for these issues. You input the dimensions and weight of the combined vehicle and caravan and the route and the directions take into account these parameters and provides a stress free journey.

I have run the Snooper alongside the in-car and they often select differing routes but I know the Snooper has not let me down and taken me into tricky narrow areas. I would thoroughly recommend Snooper

Apart from that, it’s been a good product
