36 jaar geleden begonnen met rondreizen als autocar bestuurder,mij steeds kunnen behelpen met de fantastische wegenkaarten van Michelin. Vanaf de eerste professionele navigatie uit kwam steeds het nieuwste aangekocht en mee geëvolueerd. Begin dit jaar de 1ste SNOOPER S6900 Bus&Coach-Pro gekocht die het begin van enkel ellende is geweest en geworden. Heb dit toestel die ik niet van stroom kon voorzien meteen terug naar afzender gestuurd. Geld die terug wou omdat ik helemaal niet tevreden was van zowel het toestel en service was niet mogelijk. Heb ongelooflijk na veel problemen dit toestel eindelijk kunnen gebruiken en ben tot de vaststelling gekomen dat deze navigatie gewoon WAARDELOOS is en zelfs GEVAARLIJK !!!
Gisteren in Amsterdam een test gedaan en adres van mijn hotel ingegeven vanaf het Rijksmuseum.....
En wat deed die Snooper S6900 Bus&Coach die door Snooper dan nog in laatste instantie was geupdate
Die ging bij door straten en fietszones sturen waar het zelfs verboden is voor gewone voertuigen!!!!!!
Komende zaterdag wordt ik 62jaar en ik kan jullie verzekeren dat deze aankoop bij SNOOPER de slechtste ervaring is in mijn hele leven 😡
Product 5900 will not update
Product 5900 will not update. owned it for a year and snooper could not get around this bug. This last time, now that it is out of warranty , they have offered to repair the unit at a cost.
The update process is so old fashioned I am surprised anyone had got it correct first time. The support states the only way to update is to remove all your protection on your PC and try again. I stupidly did that and then got attacked. The support answer was to try another PC or send it in for repair which could cost a maximum of £150.......In other words we are not bothered and it will be cheaper to bin it!
Update......I am sorry to hear that you do not think my product is registered. I gave the agent my serial number and he confirmed my name etc. I quote the extract of chat I received "Hello, thank you for reaching out to the Snooper Technical Support Team today. So I can access your account please provide me with your Full Name, Serial Number and Postcode registered to the account", I gave the information and he found my account!......This is the advice I was given "Hey Philip, there is no issue with our updater, is there any VPN or antivirus or Windows Defender activate, if yes then de-activate".....I will not put the agents name on here by please reach out directly to me to let me know how you are going to resolve this.

I bought a sat nav a few years ago and…
I bought a sat nav a few years ago and paid for free updates. The first time i tried to update, it wouldn,t. I had to buy the uprated card. The update worked for a couple of years. I haven t used it since covid. When i tried to update it said i was up to date.when calling snooper i was told that the lifetime of my sat nav was over and they would quite happily take mine in as p/ex. I only use it with my motorhome abroad. I think ill ask for my money back .

Not very good
Used I for the first time today. Took me down a single track road and left me at " my destination " at a 4 way cross roads only 200m from where I wanted to be but no idea which way to go. Will send it back and use Google maps as before.
I take it all back, the destination was pilot error and the alternative route was slightly worse. Will persever with it for a while.

I bought a Snooper 3Zero camera speed detector. Went to update the data “It’s very old and no longer supported”. Why didn’t they e mail me with a warning. No offers or suggestions to buy a new one. Would never buy Snooper products ever again. Avoid

I have had a Snooper SC5900 for a…
I have had a Snooper SC5900 for a couple of years and it has worked ok. I tried to update the maps and got a message saying the that map package had exceeded the capacity of the SD card. After contacting Snooper I was told that the SD car was at fault and needed to be replaced at a cost of £69.99. Accepting that the unit was out of warranty, but I should have map updates for life I expected that the card would be replace free of charge as it is Snoopers fault that the existing SD card is not suitable for current map updates. I do not think that I should incur a charge to correct a fault created by Snooper. Since there are freely available Apps that provide a comparable navigation system free of charge and even include camera locations (which incur and extra charge with Snooper), I cannot recommend this product or the company's poor inflexible service.

Appears to be poor customer service.
I was given a used snooper when I bought a used motorhome. It was old and temperamental and eventually I binned it. Even when it worked I wasn't that impressed but because it gave me a visual on my reversing camera I decided to get a new one. After reading the Trustpilot reviews I decided not to risk it. It's the lack of customer service that clinched it, it seems abysmal. The complaint that stands out for me is, amongst many, the chap who sent one off for repair and got it back without the repair done. The response to his complaint was to say they had forgotten to charge him an inspection fee, and would he send it. I guess they decided it was not repairable. However much they spend on the design and development I think they should spend a bit more on customer service. And referring to design, it's a big object on the dashboard and the monitor would benefit from less unused framing around the viewing area - even if that required an increased thickness. I have decided against it for the time being but will ask around at my next campsite, their might be many happy customers with no complaints.

Honest Opinion
Honest opinion is disappointing as the speed limit changes in Wales were planned for some time yet the data on my Snooper XL plus is out of date, with no current updates available. Many roads have been reduced to 20mph and councils have increased others to 40mph or lowered some from 60mph to 50mph as the Welsh government has stated it's at the councils discretion. This will mean new mobile speed camera sites activated to catch drivers out with the new changes.
I did consider buying a Road Angel but the expensive subscription put me off. If it's more up to date it may have been worth it. However, I'm stuck with the Snooper and have to bite the bullet.
Buyer beware!

The message conveyed a lack of understanding and empathy, reading, "Hello, We have tested the updater and it works fine. The unit is showing a USB symbol that’s a good sign, it means it's connecting, but if you have managed to update the speed limits there shouldn't be anything stopping the speed cameras from going through. Regards." Determined to find a solution, I made another call to their support line, only to be met with the familiar pattern of needing to recount my predicament. The vague promise to "leave it with me and I will call you back" echoed the previous instances, leaving me with a lingering sense of frustration and uncertainty.
In reflection, my experience with Snooper highlights the importance of consistent, reliable customer service. My encounter with their products has been marked by unmet expectations, lackluster assistance, and an overall sense of dissatisfaction. Sorely disappointed
I have only just purchased the latest snooper XL dash cam. I bought it as I got a ticket speeding and it gave me anxiety. I have to drive 4 hours regularly to visit family and purchased this item to give me peace of mind. Well I was sorely disappointed. It doesn't recognise smart motorways and informed me the speed limit was 70mph instead of 50. It doesn't recognise any 20mph zones and was often slow to change between speed zones. Absolutely gutted as this was meant to alleviate my driving concerns instead I am now out of pocket and still anxious

I have an SC5900 around 4 years old . Suddenly "the lady" has stopped talking to me !! I have tried everything but still silent . Very off-putting having to look at screen repeatedly.

Unfortunately snooper U.K. see lifetime updates as lifetime technical support, I told them this is not the same. I just can’t update & they are not willing to help solve the issue unless I give more money

I tried to update my sat nav
I tried to update my sat nav. But without success. The sat nav wad previously working fine but i just couldn't get it to update. So i contacted snooper and they sent me a link to follow which i did and the sat nav said update successful.
But then having switched the sat nav off it wouldn't start up again. I contacted snooper as it was clearly the link sent by snooper that had caused the problem. To my disgust they want to charge me £137 to fix a problem they have caused. I will not be paying that amount for something they have caused and i am now left with a useless piece of kit .And having to purchase another sat nav due to ther fault. Very poor customer service

Hab mir eine snooper DAB headunit gekauft, beim Versuch in den Downloadbereich zu kommen, bekam ich die Fehlermeldung, das die Seriennummer nicht bekannt ist. Die Supportanfrage ergab Gerät ist zu neu, ein halbes Jahr später, ist immer noch kein Zugang möglich. Eine weitere Anfrage blieb unbeantwortet. Der Kontakt zum deutschen Support blieb ebenfalls unbeantwortet.
Außerdem wollte ich wissen ob ich den Abgrundtief hässlichen Skin der iGO Software ändern kann.
Schade gutes Gerät, aber ohne Updatemöglichkeit, leider völlig wertlos.

bought a second hand snooper 8 series and worked well, then it stopped, contacted snooper and sent it to returns dept as told to be fixed, came back 2 weeks later, not fixed, no explanation NOTHING! not happy last time I buy from snooper, and have bought a few products from them, Stay clear of snooper products as service rubbish 😩😩😩

Truckmate Snooper Update´`s , es gibt nur noch veraltete Navigationsupdate oder sogar öfters gar keine mehr da England nicht mehr in der EU ist , fühlt sich Snooper nicht mehr verpflichtet neue Karten Updates von Deutschland zu erstellen . Ich habe mein Truckmate Snooper S8110 vor 4 Jahren gekauft und feststellen müssen das zu 70 Prozent die Karten Updates veraltet sind also ich werde mit meinem 40 Tonner öfters in Straßen geschickt die seit 5 Jahren eine Sackgasse sind , auch sind die neuen Umgehungsstraßen nicht in den" angeblich neuen Updates " angezeigt sondern immer noch die alten Strecken die teilweise auch noch für LKW``S ab 7,5 Tonnen gesperrt sind .

Recently purchased a smh580vw head unit…
Recently purchased a smh580vw head unit in the belief it would be a simple plug and play as it’s advertised as Oem. Nothing could be further from the truth it needed additional adapters for the dab Ariel, fm Ariel , gps Ariel and the original car microphone.
Then there’s the customer support,it is appalling,the unit will not work with the factory reverse camera I’ve made numerous calls and emails for assistance and customer service just pass you of to there”sister company “ who offer no help other than I make seven hour round trip to there premises so they can investigate the issue, after more phone calls I was told it may need a relay but no further assistance re wiring etc. There is no support online and no information available regarding updating software or maps. I cannot recommend this product or there customer service and suggest anyone looking for a replacement head unit stay clear of snooper and look at established hi fi companies
